The perfect measurements are not only required for high fashion and haute couture fashions, even if you want to work internationally as a model in the mega cities! Mula soon starts her journey through the world. We accompany you as your parent agency and look forward to many years together!
You want to be a model? We are looking for male models with character and charm. Our top priority: changeability. It is important to us that our female and male models feel comfortable in their bodies, because a healthy self-confidence is reflected in their charisma. Only those who live the job with joy and conviction can call up a corresponding performance. Self-confidence, reliability and the ability to easily slip into different roles are three important skills to assert yourself in the modeling industry. Our customers pay attention to an expressive face, convincing looks, a good posture and coordination. Our Cocaine Models team takes care of our models with intensive management and prepares them for jobs in a goal-oriented manner.
How does a model stand out in the crowd? Clearly: through character! Because what does the consumer pay attention to when making a purchase decision? To the “certain something.” A good figure and a symmetrical face are prerequisites for a model who wants to gain a foothold in the model business. This applies to female models as well as to male models. But to be really successful and get many jobs, the model has to attract attention. This can have different manifestations, the glow in the eyes, striking facial features or a small gap in the teeth. Emotions play an important role in a shooting or shoot. Only if a model can show emotions can he also transmit emotions.
In our new little Model Doku we accompanied Chand three days in Germany. Together with Oliver Rudolph Chand shoots for trueprodigy. The brand sells in over 35 countries! So that the looks in the new lookbook, the shop and the store elements are also right, the Chand label flew in from Stockholm. We accompanied Chand backstage, in the hotel, in the gym but also at breakfast. A little insight for New Faces!
It is particularly important to the designers that their collections are presented by models that give the end consumer that certain “feeling”. A targeted choice of model is therefore decisive for the statistically growing sales figures. This shows how important it is for a model to develop a certain individuality, in short: uniqueness pays off. This ability is innate, but can be additionally trained. We support our female and male models in this way, continue to pursue classic chic and underline their uniqueness.

A big advantage of male models is that they can work longer in the model business than female models. On the other hand, they have a lower salary than women.
In an interview with Lutz Marquardt you can see what a model needs to know! It’s not all about good looks. Emotions, gestures and a changeable personality are the basis for successful models! Interview by Soraya / FIV Magazine.

If you want to become a model at 14, that is quite a good age to start. Normally at this age you are still in school, so you have 3-4 years to take a look in to the model world and do smaller jobs on the weekend or during your holidays. You have enough time to see if this is really the right thing for you and if you can imagin to continue modelling after school. At the time you are about 17-18, you will be ready to work as a professional model and will already have a model book, with great pictures. Most of the best Models all over the world started in the age of 14-16. Not every “normal” agency takes models with the age of 14, most of them start to take models with the age of 15+. If so you can apply in a children modelling agency or just take a year to take care of yourself, try somethings and practise for your future modelling jobs. If you want to know more about modeling, check out become a model or the blog: become a model.
To become a model at the age of 14 is actually very difficult. Especially because you still have to concentrate on the school. Having good grades will help you in your entire life, even if you later have to calculate your fees as a model and z.b. Once you understand the exchange rate between the euro and the dollar. In addition there are many other questions, as well as a good language training, so that you also in commercials, with speech, fits perfectly. It is also about foreign languages but also geographic knowledge. Do you want to be in a small talk with a customer “stupid” or ignorant? Assuming you speak about Asia and cities like Hong Kong, Shanghai or Tokyo, then it would be perfect if you can say a little bit about it as well. That’s why the school is so important to you, whether it’s your own language, a foreign language, math or geography. So you are perfectly prepared to work internationally as a model later.
If you still want to apply in a modeling agency, then you should make sure that they talk to your parents first. You should always be aware of your plans, because at the latest the agency wants to talk to your parents when you are only 14 years old. Being a model means more than just waiting for jobs, first you have to build up your model portfolio. In other words, you will have many test shoots with photographers to help you gradually collect footage. It does not depend on the amount of photos but on the quality of the photographer. If you apply for a good modeling agency at the age of 14, from the beginning you will only get to the best photographers in your city and in your state.
After your model kit is set up, you will get the first jobs. Here’s the next sticking point, if you want to be a model at the age of 14, you’ll need to take off from school. Here we come back to the good grades, the better you are in school, the sooner your school and your teacher is ready to give you free.
Too often you can not afford the luxury, because there are always new exams to you. So if you want to be a model early, you should definitely have a lot of patience for your setup. You will not be able to do most of the jobs. For many customer requests, you must first give an option. An option means you are free this day. Will you be booked then, the job starts. However, if another model is booked, the day is free again and you do not have the job. If you have to get rid of the school every time, but only get one in four jobs, the school will eventually stop playing – understandably. That’s why you need a professional and experienced modeling agency, she knows exactly which jobs she plays for you and which not.
You see, becoming a model at the age of 14 is not that easy, so be sure to be patient! It is best to wait until you are 15 or 16 years old, then the school will be over in the foreseeable future and you can concentrate fully on modeling.
As you can read in our article requirements for models, minimum dimensions, you should bring as a model a height of 174cm. If you want to work internationally as a female model, you should even be 178 cm tall. Your height should not exceed 181 cm, male models start at 185cm. If you are wearing high-heeled shoes as a woman, you would already tower over the first men, but with 181cm you are already very tall. For male models applies as I said a minimum size of 185cm. The maximum size should not exceed 195 cm. Whether male or female model, you should have a slim figure, pay attention to your diet and do sports. And sure, there are always exceptions.
With sport, you should not overdo it as a model, your muscles grow too much, you do not fit in the standard sizes. As a woman you should train in a very defined way, but as a man you should also make sure that your muscles do not get too big. Why is that? For one thing, you just do not fit into the standard sizes of fashion designers as just described. On the other hand, in the field of advertising, models are ultimately elements of advertising, so that people can identify with the person (you). If your body or your proportions are too standard, fewer people will be able to identify with you and ultimately fewer people will buy your customer’s product. So a lot of ambition and a bit of psychology or knowledge of human nature is part of the topic of modeling. Would you have thought that?
If you still want to try your luck now, then send us your photos! All our model agency needs from you are two very simple photos you can do with your phone. Make sure that you stand in the daylight and that you send a portrait and a full body photo. In addition you send us still your most important measures and your contact data. With this you have taken the first step! Send us your model application now.
If you ever want to read through the most important tips for fashion shows, your first photo shoot or tips for your model portfolio and the first photo shoots with photographers, then check out our model blog, here you can get insider tips from our model agents, you help prepare your career well.
There are a few supermodels who started with the age of 14 or even younger. Below you can find some of the world most famous models who started with this age.
Karlie Kloss was 13 years old when a Scout discovered her in St.Louis, her first time on a Plane.
Coco Rocha was discovered while a Dancebattle with the age of 14.
Christy Turlington was horse riding in Florida when she was 14, a photographer discovered her and only one year later she started her model carrere in Paris.
Gisele Bündchen was only 14 years old when she was discovered while eating a burger in Sao Paolo.
These are the measurements points for your first modeling agency application. Take care, that you are totally honest. More about: Take your own measurements for agencies, castings and jobs.
Model Measurements & Body Size – The classic model career every up-and-coming model dreams of almost always depends exclusively on the model’s body size. There are only a few exceptions, perhaps one in a thousand, who made it anyway due to their special nature. Everybody knows supermodel Kate Moss. She combines everything: a special look, a special charisma and she is always extremely committed to her work. In addition, she leads a very interesting private life for the media and thus also the right story.
Why are measurements so important for models? You always have to imagine there are many models. No matter if a designer has his presentation in London, Paris, Hong Kong, Cape Town or also New York and Berlin, fashion collections are cut to a certain size, especially if they have been tailor-made for the next season and are first shown to customers at fashion shows or in showrooms with a few sample pieces. These collection pieces are usually cut to a standard size, this standard size corresponds e.g. with High Fashion to a body size with female models of 178 cm and as a rule a confection size of 34 or 34, 36 (EU). Women should not be taller than 181 cm. For men, it is especially important that your body is not too well trained. What’s the matter with you? It makes it harder for normal men to identify with you. Male models should have a minimum size of 185 cm and a maximum size of 195 cm. When female models wear high heels, the biggest differences are not too extreme. At a fashion show then all models are about the same size and nothing distracts from the fashion has pieces.
The same applies of course to online shops, especially when it comes to the first pieces of a collection, standard sizes are issued. Whether it is clothing, size S or M (US), or standard size shoes from 36 to 38 (EU) for women and 42 or 43 (EU) for men.
Before we go into detail, these are the general “standards” for 95% of all jobs. The closer you are to these dimensions, the better the conditions – apart from personality.
If you only want to work in advertising, i.e. not in the field of high fashion fashion, the dimensions are no longer so decisive for you. Here women with a height of 170 cm can have success as well as with a height of 183 cm. Also for men models the measures are more flexible, advertisement does not require any more the “absolute ideal measures” and the figure can deviate also a little bit.
Plus Size Models are really trendy. More and more fashion designers and creative arts directors are turning to curvaceous women in advertising. There is a small difference between Plus Size Models and Curvy Models. Plus Size Models are models that are a little above the “normal” fashion model sizes, i.e. Plus Size Models are women who have a clothing size of 38 or 40 (EU). Plus Size models can do a great job because more women can identify with them as they do with high fashion models. As a Plus Size Model you can therefore not only work for fashion customers, but also in advertising. That makes the job opportunities varied and so you can earn good money as a Plus Size Model in the industry. You want to be a Plus Size Model? Then send us your application!
Here you see all important points on the body to take your measurements yourself. Make sure that you wear as little clothing as possible when measuring and be honest with yourself when measuring!
Curvy models in women with a clothing size between 42 and 44. Also the cup size is much bigger and can go up to a G-Cup. Curvy Models are as popular as Plus Size Models, as they are most appealing to the average woman. The average woman in Europe has a clothing size of 44, which means that even Curvy models with an average clothing size of 42 to 44 are only generally average. Also as Curvy Model we are very happy about your application in our model agency.
Camille from Hamburg visited us at the Berlin Fashion Week and voila, a new video! Here you can find the first shoots of Camille!
The last part of the model’s section revolves around those who have very special traits. Extremely wild hair, tattoos, best agers and many more. As a people model you work mainly in the advertising sector, whether it is for a muesli commercial or for a comfortable mattress. People Models correspond to the normal look of everyday people. You have a special gap in your teeth, a lot of curls or a conspicuous and striking nose. If you want to work as a people model, you should not apply in a model agency but in a special people agency. What’s the difference? People agencies also work in advertising, the only thing they serve less is the field of fashion. But as a People Mode you can also get jobs in advertising, for online shops or even classic advertising materials such as image brochures and catalogs.
Model dimensions are as varied as the job itself. There is a suitable agency for every area.
All important measurements for the USA, UK and Europe including hips, waist and chest for female and male photo models.
Everything important from breast to bottom and clothing worldwide.
All the important data for men who want to be models.
Every model agency is happy about such a diamond. For most people, however, the rule remains the same: Your modeling career is almost always decided on the basis of body size. When we go through applications in the agency, the first information displayed is not name or your residence, first we see the height. Of course, we always take a look at the photos. But as a smaller model you always need the special, international look or a finished model folder. For international customers, the body and clothing size of the models is particularly important. But first we look at what a typical customer from Germany attaches importance to in his inquiry.
Basically, the following specifications are usually given by the customer for the model agency:
Elegance – In order for products to be presented elegantly, the figure of the model is crucial for fashion designers and their agencies. The proportions of the model must be right so that the overall presentation is right. Whether fashion show, advertising poster or commercial. Clothing looks much more elegant on slim bodies. We all know the famous “dream measurements” of 90-60-90 (hip/waist/breast). These three measures are considered ideal if they are in proportion to the body size.
As a high fashion model in Milan or Paris this is often too much. Your hip may be New Face gladly still narrower, also the chest. An 87-58-82 (H/T/B) has a good chance at casting in the fashion capitals.
You don’t stand a chance as a woman at castings in fashion cities under 175cm. If you are smaller than 175 cm, you will unfortunately have no chance in the castings of the big designers. For online shops, labels and advertising in the national market, you still have the chance to get jobs, so it’s worth it, even as a smaller model, if you pay attention to your proportions. For example, if a product is presented by a person, not a group, body size is much less important. If the proportions are right and you have less than 90-60-90 at less than 175cm, the overall picture is right. However, PR and advertising agencies know that you tend to be less booked as a smaller model, so the fees are slightly lower. The sooner you are a model the scheme is: big and attractive, the easier it is for you.
Over 181cm it becomes again more difficult as a woman. Just as there are limits at the bottom, there are also limits at the top. Female models over 181 cm have it again more difficult. For one thing, you’re bigger than your colleagues. But you are also often taller than your male colleagues. With high heels you are as tall as most boys with 187 cm. Even on the catwalk. The fashion collections are only produced in one size for the first presentation. Mostly for dress size 34 (max. 34/36) at 175-179cm. Designers, teams and producers would have to change every single piece or book all models larger.
These are just two factors to describe why it becomes difficult to model successfully at a certain height. Nevertheless, you have good chances in the national advertising markets, for example in people agencies. They often have jobs very similar to model agencies: commercials, fairs & co. In every big city there are people agencies.
In the international fashion industry, the rules are much stricter, as mentioned earlier. Instead of 90-60-90 it can be 87-58-82. Fashion designers as well as agencies are looking for models to present their products as high as possible. The higher the quality and more exclusive the product is to the consumer in the commercial or from the poster, the easier it is to justify a high price for the product or service. Therefore, as a good model who can sell products through looks and poses, you can also earn a lot of money. Even for individual advertising campaigns, four and five-digit amounts are quickly possible for one-day advertising productions, even for “new faces”. Why does advertising need models for events, photos and videos? Read more here: Advertising and its function in marketing.
Even cheaper labels always try to reach the level of high-priced labels in advertising. Whether exclusive, international label or fashion startup, the model must have a slim body so that the garments fall optimally, no wrinkles throw and fit perfectly. This applies to all fashion metropolises and models in New York, Paris, London and Milan.
Fashion is always something special. Fashion thrives on being special! New fashion collections are regularly launched by designers worldwide, every season. Not only major international fashion designers and retail chains work in this way. Even small fashion labels have to constantly present their customers with new designs and cuts to attract their attention. So designers and fashion have to reinvent themselves again and again in order to remain interesting for consumers.
Never before have they been so in demand – Curvy Models. Personality instead of “ideal measures”. The curves of the 50’s and together with the still prevailing size 0 models bring the next development in the fashion world, the Curvy Model. It is important to note this: Curvy isn’t just lazy and fast food. Nutrition is the A&O of every model, because you don’t want to lose your sporty curves. The market for Curvys is growing steadily and is being sought everywhere.
The new masterpieces are regularly presented at the Fashion Weeks. Milan, New York, Paris, Hong Kong and London. In spring, summer, autumn and winter people are always looking for new looks and trends. Almost all designers have one thing in common: they tailor their collections for tall, slim people. The clothes fall more elegantly, fabrics unfold their full effect, everything looks more exclusive and higher quality! Gracile figures make clothes and their possible price more expensive. Even if not all fashion brands work in this scheme, it is still the majority of the industry.
Fashion shows and fashion presentations are subject to an unwritten norm. For female models, a clothing size of 34 (max. 34/36) with a body size of 177-180 (176-181) cm is considered ideal at the beginning of their career. Your hip should be under 5 inches. For men models there is usually a clothing size of 48 (max. 50/52) with a body size of 185-192 cm. Here’s a tip for male models: At the beginning of your career, as a male model you should also pay attention to a younger look. If you already look too masculine in your first years as a model, you’ll quickly get a chance for jobs in the fashion industry and at castings. That’s why you as a male model should always go to castings with a shaved beard during the first years.

Instagram Tips – for young start-ups, fashion designers to stylish restaurants, even for established businesses, 50 or 100 years old, Instagram is new territory for many when it comes to marketing! What does being successful on Instagram mean? How do you build a community? How do you win more followers? When do you post and how often? Questions over questions! That’s why we met with an Instagram expert whom some of you may have seen on Sat1, Pro7 or RTL, Stefan M. Czaja Punkt one of the leading experts and not only a TV guest as a speaker he speaks to 300 people about marketing and social media. If you want to know more about Instagram Marketing, you can find many blog posts on the site of his social media agency.
Today he gives us a short overview about social media marketing on Instagram. We also talk about boughtikes, is it worth it? Then we also wanted to know comma there is software he would recommend as an expert for start-ups or young fashion designers? As a low-cost digital social media manager, so to speak. Because especially at the beginning you have to pay attention to every euro as a datap! So let’s come to our expert’s tip for your Instagram Marketing & Community Management.
Success on Instagram means active community. Fashion trends, outfits, travel destinations, all the beautiful photos are worth nothing if nobody is interested in them. Community management, community building and most importantly community maintenance are the cornerstones of Instagram Marketing for companies. This is no longer just about selling but about brand awareness. Brand awareness is a technical term used by advertising agencies and stands for brand awareness. As you the connection or the relationship between brand and prospective customers, customers stands in the foreground. These two groups must also be taken into account in the approach and, of course, also when it comes to creating added value for one’s followers. Through added value, this can be simple questions to learn the honest opinion of the followers or relatively simple actions such as exclusive discounts that are only available on your Instagram channel. But added value is also that you react to comments. 85% of all startups and companies ignore comments from their own community. A person has taken time for the brand. If he or she often doesn’t get a reaction, the fan will stop sooner or later. The fewer comments there are, the less motivated other users are to comment on the content. The constant interaction between the channel, that is you as a boss, social media manager and the audience is the central tool for success on Instagram.
Even the first 100 fans are important when it comes to the construction. Because the first 100 followers are the first 100 brand advocates. They don’t have to be convinced anymore, they’re already there. Just as important are the first 1000 followers, a goal where many will now of course say, what only 1000 fans? Maybe I can kidnap you and we can do a little example. Just ten years ago, when Instagram and the big world of social media didn’t exist, a young fashion designer had to distribute flyers, make phone calls to buyers, get press placements in magazines, all almost impossible for a young designer! Especially the placement in media, in fashion magazines, is not possible without sufficient financial means. Social media has changed this, you can reach up to 1,000 fans from your own circle with one photo or video. Without a phone call, without distributing a flyer, without an appointment with a buyer to possibly be included in the new collection. You can reach 1000 people, who like me anyway, from your own means, almost free of charge. Marketing has never been so effective! That’s why the community is so important and that’s why the first 100 as well as the first 1000 fans are so important for you!
When I visit companies as a consultant I often hear that their own social media manager is dissatisfied because they only have 8,000 fans, much better would be 80,000 fans. Why and be satisfied? Who was already happy with 100 and also happy with 1000 fans, reacts differently, likes his community more, Inter acts more, brings more positive image. You should always keep the high goals but you should also be happy with what you have achieved and make it clear to your community by being present, interacting with people and demanding their honest opinion.
For many startups, a dedicated social media manager who takes three or four hours a day to look at other channels, observe trends, likes to give comments, is far too expensive. Giving and commenting onikes on other channels on a daily basis would of course be too time-consuming in addition to the important tasks of new customer acquisition, accounting and general management. Much because Tabs but also many large companies therefore rely on social media software.
The interaction on one’s own channel, with one’s own photos and videos as well as direct news are thus done by oneself. All interaction on other channels, i.e. likening and commenting on other photos and videos, is handled by the software. Maybe we can come back to a practical example later how much social media software helps in our daily work and how much time it saves!
The second aspect is that the image content becomes more creative and varied due to the increased motivation. Often it is only details that make the difference but these details have a big impact on the long run. So before you think about a concept or a strategy, you need to find your own visual language. But as a social media manager I can only recommend to look for inspiration on other channels, if you don’t have to deal daily with bringing creativity into photos. Inspiration can of course be found directly on Instagram!
Many will say now, is nevertheless clear! But from my experience I know that many companies, especially if they haven’t done anything in the field of social media marketing yet, spend many days and weeks with the conception. In the end, it might have taken an hour on Instagram to look at competing offers or completely different offers, e.g. just successful influencers.
My ultimate Instagram tip, for channel building but also for further support, save images in Instagram! Many do not use this function, but it is quite simple. You can save your own photos directly as inspiration in Instagram, you can even create different folders. For example, you can separate by photos of the team, photos of the product, photos of the lifestyle, photos of novelties, photos of the fair, …
To be able to save images, simply click on the icon below the image. Then go to the photo or video and your saved content. If you are fast, you can then directly select a folder where the photo should be saved. The photos are a constant source of inspiration, for oneself but also for employees or freelancers. Another small instagram tip from everyday life, with a large archive of inspiration one also has good ideas available at moments when one is less creative. For example, if you’re at a Fashion Week just before the first fashion show, you usually don’t have much time to think about creative concepts for Instagram. With a look into the stored photos, you have a lot of ideas and perhaps find a way to directly transform an idea for the current situation.
As I said, in practice many companies are busy for days and weeks thinking about what pictures should look like. It’s much faster with a glance at Instagram and Blogger and companies that are already making it successful. Here you save a lot of time and money as a startup. You can then focus your creativity again on your new fashion collection or, of course, on other areas of setting up a company.
But the A&O for Instagram are beautiful photos and a harmonious style of the Instagram feed.
The ultimate tip, beautiful photos! Not everyone thinks about it, in many practical examples, we then see as consultants photos with a lot of text, preferably scattered in ten lines, with five different motifs, for example in the lottery. The next photo is dark, showing a lot of products. The next photo is a Selfie. No picture style, no line, no picture language. Recognition is so important for companies. Let’s just look at the basic practice, each company has its own colour. Each company has its own typeface, each company has its own concept. People need this recognition, not only to give us an advantage as a company, they get used to a certain look and never want to see it again because they like it. If we change this look too often, the fee sings sour cream and possibly the follower jumps off.
For Instagram you must always be clear that you need a visual language and you must not be too profound or give too much information. Why is that? On Instagram you have only a few moments in the feed but also with the stories. The next photo, the next video is only a swipe away. Information must therefore be clear, precise and very accurate. When you take your pictures make sure that
Where we just talked about bright and friendly photos and their success on Instagram, here’s the next Instagram tip! Do not use filters. Filters make the photos different, creative, colorful, old but also too much. Instagram is usually about authentic everyday life, not about advertising. Photos don’t need a lot of post-processing, they need creative ideas. I don’t need filters right from the start.
A little tip, corrections are possible. My recommendation:
This slight image correction makes a photo a little brighter, a little friendlier and more likeable, but is not at all comparable with post-processing or filters. This is merely a matter of a slight correction of the values.
One of the absolute favorite questions of companies and firms, but also of start-ups and young entrepreneurs, you need a professional camera for instagram?
Anyone who has a modern smartphone of the last few months knows how far camera technology has come. From time-lapse video to photos with different sharpness straight lines, you can conjure up any photo or video on your smartphone today. The camera technology is so sophisticated and small that I now hide extremely good devices in the smartphones. For social media management nowadays you don’t really need a reflex camera anymore, a good smartphone Günter absolutely. You have killed two birds with one stone because you have not only all social media networks always with you but also a good camera. Not only can you pre-produce social media content for Instagram, you can even give it live, e.g. on Instagram TV. Situations are captured much faster because less technology has to be prepared. In addition, you don’t have to carry a large, heavy camera and its batteries. For me, the smartphone clearly wins in comparison!
Surface is everything! No matter if it is the advertising poster in the city centre or the photo in Instagram feed. When you take pictures, make sure you don’t use your phone in a landscape heart position, but in a portrait position. Instagram gives you a lot more space. For example, if you publish a photo or video in landscape format, you have only a third of the space you could have in portrait format. Therefore, as a small but practical instagram tip, make sure that all your photos and videos are taken in portrait mode, i.e. in portrait format!
Now we come to $10,000,000 question! How do I get more followers? How do I get them very quickly? How do I get them guaranteed? There is never a guarantee!
The community are individual people. Every person has his or her own thoughts, ideas, needs and desires. Social media campaigns can never be guaranteed to be planned. Just think of virality, the subject everyone’s talking about. Can we make a viral video, too? If social media management were that simple, each channel would probably have a billion fans, each video would have a billion views. But it’s not like that. In the competition there are also always competitors with comma, there are the traditional companies, new creative, in addition there are the numerous bloggers who publish content completely free of charge, every day. They also have the added advantage that they are private individuals and not companies “that just want to make money”.
My tips for Instagram:
There are two ways to generate range of coverage. Organic range and paid range. Organic range is the range you get through the algorithm within your own community.
Organic reach thus refers to the people you reach, solely through the effect of the posting. In addition there is still the paid range, advertisements. Because by organic range one creates usually only ten to 15% of the own followers. So if you have 10000 people in front, you usually have 1000 to 1500 people. Through paid reach you can increase this amount of people. Paid range then goes by views, i.e. by the amount of contributions seen. Paid reach is good because organic growth alone would not reach so many people. What a pity, because if on average every 200th person orders a product that interacts with a posting, it would be very practical to reach even more people. That’s why companies advertise.
In principle it is always about organic growth and the organic Betreuung.de not only growth is important but on the regular customers! Through good texts and the involvement of the fans, e.g. through challenges, the own community remains active.
Smart and ingenious lyrics are definitely short! On Instagram nobody wants to read long, it’s about photos, videos, fast and short entertainment. Texts should therefore always be short and contain impulses for users. Impulses like Call-to-Action, references to our actual offer but also impulses like questions that demand real experiences from users. Questions are a very effective tool, e.g. very simple, “Would you wear it?” The to “what color was your dress at prom?”.
But smart texts aren’t just descriptive or ask questions, you should always remember to mention other brands or people or mark them directly on Instagram. This will give you positive image transfer. For example, if the photo shows a Fanta that is often drunk by young target groups, it is worth mentioning Fanta in the description. Image Transfer. The same goes for the social media stars, of course, if a certain piece of clothing is worn by someone, this person should also be mentioned and marked. This not only ensures that the respective person is informed of the new posting and can therefore react immediately with a like or a comment, which in turn increases the first interaction, which in turn raises the own posting in the algorithm. This also ensures that the posting is also made accessible to parts of the target group of the other person. On the one hand infeed, because there you see the mentions and markings in which the respective account itself was marked, on the other hand a part is also sent out to the target group, as far as parts of it interact with the photo or the video.
Number three is call to action. Who hasn’t heard of anything correct yet, for this one briefly explained.
Karl zu Action is one of the central tools in online marketing. Corto Action means a direct reference to our respective target, this can be e.g. a product in the online shop, the registration in the newsletter or new fans for our channel. Depending on the white we actively in our descriptions indicate what we want to achieve. e.g.
Age is active call to action, call-to-action. For the completeness of the process a link is needed. Unfortunately, you cannot place a link in Instagram Postings, but you can indicate here that the link is in the biography. Users will not only be prompted to click the link, but also to visit your Instagram channel. In the stories it’s already different, here you can place direct links and the full rock can visit the link by simply swyping upwards. Whether online shop or newsletter registration, direct vall to action.
Recommendation marketing is a big topic. Influenza in particular shows how effectively one can achieve sales by evaluating or describing products. The more personal the insights, the more authentic, the more likely the willingness to buy increases Point Instagram Stories are an excellent tool to give personal insights. Of course, the bigger the company you have planned, the bigger the stories. But the big advantage is, they disappear after 24 hours and you can publish several a day. Instagram Stories are produced very quickly and most of them have probably made a few themselves or even do some every day. The big advantage is that they are subject to a less strict construct such as postings in the instagram feed. Here the feed has to look harmonious at the end, the visual language has to be right, … with Instagram Stories it’s all much easier! Here, one does not have to be so creative, as a super simple example, the breakfast table would suffice with a delicious buffet. Afterwards we go to the office, have a coffee and have a look at some collection items. Later we go to the customer appointment and a photo of the cappuccino Togo is taken quickly, afterwards we tell in a short video, that this is now going to a great customer, on whom we are very much looking forward. Small intimate stories that permanently accompany the user.
Brand awareness is a big topic, which means brand awareness. Instagram Stories are an excellent Tulum to constantly send small messages.
When do hashtags actually make sense? That’s a really good question. Hashtags could now be explained in great detail and philosophized about for a long time, but in the end it’s all about using them as purposefully as possible. Instagram Tip 1 on Hashtags, does not use hashtags that are intended for building. Such always suggest follow me, then I follow you. If you press like on my picture, I press for a like on your picture. Why isn’t this working? We talk all the time about community and interaction, fans reacting to new photos, new videos and not spirit accounts interacting and never doing anything again. This text motivates others, new or even social bots, to interact with your channel. Real fans aren’t there. Tip number 2 for Hashtags, focus on very specific terms.
Instead of 20 hashtags, we focus on our core product and our image. Both components get 3 exact, matching hashtags
The goal is to reach the top positions point best of course always place 1, as in Google!
We all know the search engine Google, the most important platform when it comes to questions on the Internet. Where can I find something? What does something mean? What does something stand for? Where can I find more information about something? The golden brisk in online marketing is number one. The closer you are to this position, the more often you are clicked. Whether on Google or instagram. Here one sees once very beautifully on the basis of the largest search machine of the world on what the views of the user focus, green frequently, yellow very frequently and red almost exclusively.
In fact, there are very many who buy followers. We already had bloggers who had written to us and on closer analysis, out of 250,000 there were a maximum of 20,000 real people. Even large companies work with such funds, buy themselves over the years 10,000, 100,000 fans added. For example, you can see such things easily and without social media software by means of comments. Who has 200 000 followers but only two comments, there can be something wrong.
Buying Follower is quite easy, you can find a lot of offers on the internet. 10.000 fans for 20 $, international from India to the Philippines, up to qualitative 10.000 fans for 300 $, from the German-speaking countries. Ultimately, however, probably no real persons but Social Media Bots.
These accounts will never interact. On the other hand, just to explain, many visitors do not analyze Instagram channels. They just look in a hurry, 100,000 fans, many like that, I’m in. So the medal has two sides. What’s best for you, you have to weigh.
Thank you very much for the detailed discussion. For all our readers who want to start their own business, with their own start-up, fashion design or in the food sector, valuable tips. Thanks for your time!
As a social network, Instagram is a platform where users can interact with each other. Most popular at the moment are photos in Feed and Instagram stories. The war is usually used daily or two, three times a week. Stories can be made several times a day, they are only available 24 hours a day. Other users respond to these postings and stories. This even leads to small conversations, e.g. in the comments. The more interaction the better! Many users also send direct messages, which are private messages from user to user.
On Instagram you can decide for yourself whether you want to keep your account private, so that only confirmed users have access to photos and videos, or whether the account is publicly accessible. The default setting is of course public. On Instagram, users are particularly concerned with briefly distracting themselves in everyday life. At the breakfast table, while waiting for the subway, small breaks during work, of course also in the evening, for example, when waiting for the date or for friends.
Users typically open Instagram’s app six to eight times a day. This speaks for a very high level of interaction. Small, short content, so-called snack content, is best received by Instagram users. Photos, stories with a length of 10 to 15 seconds or also videos with approx. 10 to 15 seconds length.
Yes Instagram is a registered trademark and thus protected in almost all countries of the world. You can find out more about instagrams, business figures, turnover figures and much more at Wikipedia: Instagram.
Instagram isn’t that old yet. After only a few years, the network was bought up by the two founders. The new owner is Facebook. Instagram is now officially part of Facebook Inc.
Did you know? Also the advertisements are organized over the Facebook advertisements M;anager. Although Instagram also allows the app to advertise ads internally, Facebook Ads Manager is much more accurate.
In 2010, Instagram started with just 13 employees, today there are thousands worldwide. Especially since the acquisition of Facebook, Instagram has evolved. From Ads to IG TV.
Instagram and Facebook differ in many respects, but are also similar. The biggest difference lies in the target audience, the target audience of Instagram is much greater than comparison to Facebook. Facebook now serves almost all age groups, most of whom are between 20 and 50 years old. On Instagram, as described, the target group is significantly younger, usually the users are between 15 and 30 years old. Another big difference lies in the use of media. On Facebook names of all kinds shared by the content, articles on other websites, as well as events but also news. In Instagram, everything focuses on news, comma images and video material, as well as small postings from everyday life, the so-called stories.
Instagram is also faster-paced and is mostly accessed from mobile devices, via App. Facebook, on the other hand, is also used by many as a communication tool from their desktop PC and notebook. This again reflects the differences between the target groups. Depending on the product or service or target group they use, you should focus on a social network, especially at the beginning. This saves you a lot of time and allows you to effectively manage a network.
At Instagram, almost everything focuses on posting new photos and videos. The whole thing happens in two forms. Either you post the photos and videos in the Instagram Feed, which is Instagram’s timeline where all postings are archived chronologically. On the other hand, instagram stories are often used. Instagram Stories are very private and show personal life, from morning to night. Each channel has its own particularities, bloggers and influencers sharing every moment of life, from getting up in bed, to breakfast, to going to sleep, companies show a lot, even a lot you would not have shown before. What’s the matter with you? Because you can!
It used to be extremely difficult to get into the media. Especially for young fashion designers or fashion companies, it was very difficult to get placements in a fashion magazine. We don’t even need to talk about advertising in TV channels or placements in other magazines. Today, thanks to Instagram, but also social networks such as Facebook, YouTube and tiktok everyone can constantly post anything new. Wonderful new world!
Instagram Marketing deals with all the peculiarities and features that the social network Instagram brings with it. As Instagram Agentur concepts and strategies are developed with which companies know, for example, how to proceed step by step with Instagram. Especially when the work is divided among several employees, it is important to have structure and planning.
If you are planning your own Instagram Marketing, you should also create structure and planning. What do I start with? Where am I going? All this I have to keep in mind. This concept, this strategy is pursued day by day. Based on the experiences and learnings you gain every day, you can gradually optimize your Instagram Marketing. The big goal in Instagram Marketing is reach. The more range a startup gets, the more information it can send. The community is therefore a central component of Instagram Marketing. Another central component for many companies and online shops is advertising on Instagram. Because, how can you make money on Instagram? Of course just as everywhere, through the sale of products and services. Advertisements help to reach additional people in addition to organic traffic, i.e. reach that can be generated without advertisements.
Reach on instagram corresponds to the amount of followers who have seen a posting. Two factors are distinguished within the range.
Simple range, the so-called views, correspond to the amount of ads that our posting had. A person can get our posting displayed several times. A new view is generated with each new display. In contrast to this is the unique range, so-called unique views. Only individual persons are counted here. It does not matter whether a single person is shown the posting several times or not.
Both factors are important in advertising. If you remember classic commercials, you know that here you often see an advertising film, that you rather remember the brand, you buy the product in the online shop or in the supermarket. The same applies to reach, the more often a person sees the brand or the product, the more likely they are to decide to buy it. When considering mere reach, e.g. when launching a product, the focus is more on unique views, so that the advertising agency can calculate how many people have been reached.
Instagram Ads are ads that are displayed within the social network. Ads look like normal postings or stories, they only have a small hint to “sponsored post”. Instagram ads are very effective, as are ads on other social networks. Especially because the target groups can be determined so precisely, according to geographical view, for example all people in Berlin, as well as according to gender, e.g. only the women in Berlin but also things like the old and the interests play in. A certain coat or an expensive leather jacket can only be played off to a certain group of people who can most probably afford the expensive leather jacket and who already have similar interests, e.g. similar brands and products.
The price for advertising on Instagram is not fixed. Depending on the current booking situation of the competition, number of people online, many factors are involved. In a rough rule of thumb, however, one can say that the prices per view can be between 5 cents and 5 €. Depending on how well the ad was made. That’s why many people trust us as a social media agency when it comes to campaign management. Even advertising campaigns on Instagram tend to go in the direction of € 4 to € 15. When it takes 100 views to create a purchase, the costs explode quickly. However, in collaboration with the social media agency, he manages to push prices below 1 €, which can quickly make good profits and earn money on Instagram.
There are two ways to earn money on Instagram. One way is the classic sale of products. As described above, it is then a matter of building up your own community, within the group new products can then be presented.
You can besides arose in the social networks a completely new line of business, influencer marketing! Young, hard-working bloggers, who gradually won more fans, today reach millions of people and are the new stars, the social stars! As an influencer you can earn really good money, if you want to know how much you earn on Instagram you can calculate the costs and prices at Influencer Fee: Instagram calculate price. Influenza earn their money either with paid postings, which are postings that are paid directly or with affiliate marketing. Afilliate marketing is a classic from online marketing. You get sales commission. If, for example, an influencer posts a new expensive leather jacket, the link is clicked by 100 people, 40 people buy the leather jacket and the influenza receives a €10 commission for each jacket, it is €400 for this posting.

Product photography – fashion and jewellery, cars and technology, smartphones or furniture, a product photographer knows how to stage his samples. Last week we had our big special for Advertising photography. Product photography is a part of it. More precisely, product photography, in relation to advertising photography, deals less with the artistic side than with the technical component. For some photographers, lighting is extremely important, e.g. in the automotive industry. If a car body is to be shown here, angle is particularly important, but so is light setting and shadows. The refraction on the individual materials, features over the varnish of smaller light reflections, hundreds of details in just one motif. In complete contrast to product photography in the photo studio for online shops, here it is just as much about the technical refinements but also about high quantities. Some new collections are so large that three photo studios are employed in parallel to produce the amount of images. We take a closer look at the work of a product photographer!
If you are looking for an expert for your products, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will help you to arrange and organize your photo shooting.
As described before, the product photographer is particularly interested in the technical details of lighting, equipment, rebuilds in the photo studio and many other elements. We don’t have to talk about that anymore, what’s more important here in product photography is that you have a photographer at your side who gets along very well with planning and organization. Because here it is no longer about one model and 5 garments but often about 100. The individual garments and outfits do not only have to be stored for a short time, they have to be put together on site, nothing may get lost and of course must not be damaged. The photographer is not only a photographer but also a real planning talent.
The photographer must attach great importance to punctuality, after all, such longer productions are about short periods of time. While the collection may already be on its way to Europe in a container, the first samples are to be photographed so that they are available in the online shop just in time for the start of the campaign. A great challenge not only for you as a customer, but of course also for the photographer.
Before we go to the photo studio, before the car is assembled on the turntable, before the 100 items of clothing are shipped, it’s all about the concept first! Mood boards are mood scenes, exemplary photos that show customers and the team what the photographer imagines the set to be like.
These include, for example:
The resulting scenes are then much easier to understand than if a photographer would only explain. Because pictures say more than a thousand words! With the help of the Mood Board the whole team can orientate themselves, from the stylist who is responsible for the accessories and the props, the photographer who has to capture everything in the photo, the assistant who provides the products in front of the set and repacks the old products, everyone knows what to do!
Anyone who combines product and advertising photography can use the Mood Board to create additional ideas and concepts for collages or campaign images. This gives you a quick and easy overview of the media to be produced.
Questions during conception? Also here we help and support you as an agency.
If you want to use your produced product images for collages or compilations, you need clipping. Not only for collages, also dealers who want to sell on Amazon need very clean surfaces. Usually for Amazon this means seller, white. Product images taken in a photo studio will rarely be photographed on a complete white background. That wouldn’t look so aesthetic to the viewer. However, clipping can also be used excellently to change backgrounds. For example, if you sell food online, you can quickly put a tablecloth in the background, old wood that looks very noble, or you can put several fruits together in the aforementioned collage. That is why many customers also want their products to be clipped.
For absolute quality, clipping must be done by hand. Depending on the product, such optional processes can also be automated. If, for example, you have products with very clear edges, ideally all dark ones, which are all picked up against a white background at the same time, you can also complete the release processes more quickly by using so-called batch processing. The disadvantage is that you will never achieve 100% quality. Therefore, clipping is usually not automatically produced and must be specified by you in the customer briefing.
Whoever commissions a photographer for the first time and receives the image material at the end, will usually receive image files with a size of 40 to 50 megabytes per image.
Especially in the area of online and online marketing such image sizes are not really practicable. Good photographers think of pointing this out to their customers in advance. Because if you end up with 100 so-called RAW files, with a total size of 5 GB, these are not practical files for an online shop or a digital advertisement. The photos are way too big! Since very few customers have installed Photoshop in their own agency or company, the photographer should consider providing additional compressed files for the web and mobile devices beforehand. These files save a lot of memory! This makes them much faster to load on mobile devices, whether smartphones or tablets. Why is that important? Search engine optimization plays an important role for many sellers when it comes to selling products. Whoever is best placed in the search engine gets more clicks and thus more customers. Due to the compression, a single photo is no longer 40 or 50 MB in size but only 0.4 MB. With it your picture loads 100 times faster in the Onlineshop.
Photographer likes to send a large selection of photos. But don’t we book a photographer to do the work from A to Z, from organization to selection? That’s exactly why you should talk to your photographer about the quantity to be delivered in advance. The amount of photos in the end makes for four jobs, in your own company. Because the selection of 500, 600 photos with an untrained eye takes a very long time. A good photographer should directly take the preselection of the pictures from them, so that they only get the best ones and only decide between the absolute A-goods.
We will help you in all steps, get in touch with us or get more information about advertising photographers.
Advertising agency – In New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris and Hong Kong many enterprises are on the search for an advertising agency. Whether full service or sub-disciplines, such as brand building, corporate design, advertising copy, search engine marketing and public relations, marketing has become complex. New strategies are also being added, for example for social media and influencer marketing. What does an advertising agency do? Our overview in XXXL format with everything you need to know about advertising agencies for your own start-up or as a medium-sized company – the free advertising agency guide:
The advertising agency definition on Wikipedia summarizes: “An advertising agency is a service enterprise, which takes over the consultation, conception, planning, organization and realization of advertising and other communication measures for […] client”. – Full service.
The exact services of an advertising agency are less known to many. Does an advertising agency only ensure that a certain product becomes known? Does the advertising agency take on much deeper tasks? Who assigns a Full service advertising agency, which assigns a professional, who argues with the entire range mark and marketing. The actual producer, the actual company, can fully concentrate on day-to-day business. Everything about their products or services is of course also influenced by the advertising agency. Just think of market research and new product development. But before we come to such a complex area as product development from market research, for example from reporting from social networks, we take a look at the very basic tasks of an advertising agency.
Anyone who thinks of the big golden M immediately knows where he is at home in the fast food sector. Anyone who sees a star on a car knows immediately which brand it is. Corporate design starts with something small and non-complex like a logo and ends with precise guidelines for large companies and corporations. These even regulate how the logo is to be affixed to a particular make of car, with exact distances in millimetres to the door, wheel or window. Corporate Design deals with the visual red thread of your company. The colour plays an important role here, as do the shapes: round elements, pointed or very straight. All of this will then prevail throughout the entire media portfolio. From an image brochure for customers to a promotional clip for YouTube, as soon as our fans see our brand, they know who is meant. The faster this identification and perception is possible, the greater the brand awareness can become. Just think of the bustling shopping street in the city centre: the faster you can identify a particular fashion store from the jungle of fashion stores, the faster you will run towards it.
Corporate Design is not only concerned with the wishes and ideas of the customer, but also with the final customers and consumers. So how can you design your brand in such a way that your desired target group finds it appealing and attractive?
All these questions are clarified, conceived and developed by an advertising agency. From the logo to the image brochure, from the website to the web shop, even the car fleet is branded. Recognition ensures that our customers have quick access to us, but also quickly storm into our stores or online shops.
Speaking of attracting visitors, the area of content marketing in particular has become extremely popular in recent years. Content Marketing works with texts in different facets and variations.
Content marketing can be the placement in a prestigious medium. For example, we can buy a placement in an article in a well-known magazine. This article then discusses a topic that is right for our company. If, for example, you are a real estate agency and have vacant apartments in the Berlin area, but are also looking for new properties, it would be worth buying an article in a magazine about real estate agents in Berlin. As soon as someone wants to give up their apartment, rent it out or sell it, they search the Internet for a good real estate agent in Berlin. Of course, you immediately look for reviews and recommendations and then probably discover our article in the trade magazine.
By this recommendation marketing, in combination with content marketing, we reach a fast and high level of trust with the users and thus the chance increases that you as a real estate agent get the free apartment and not the competition.
Content marketing, however, also extends to parts of search engine optimization, we will deal with this aspect in more detail later in search engine marketing. Search engine marketing deals with various areas of optimization for search engines, but also with analysis and monitoring.
Advertising texts, one of the supreme disciplines of any advertising agency. Every idea can be packaged in thousands of words: the countless advantages, the differences to the competition, the small details that make the product special. Ultimately, however, in advertising communication you only have a few moments to transport messages. In order to use these moments perfectly, you need advertising texts that are short and concise, yet as informative as possible. But that is not enough, advertising texts also need added value for the ultimate consumer. Why should I change? Why should I bother to click on the online shop? Why would I go downtown? Advertising agencies will find the perfect answer to these questions. A coherent formulation, which is then adopted for the further advertising concept.
The media used ultimately form from this. This communication concept ultimately leads to the Guideline, which all employees, agencies and freelancers must adhere to. Of course, the concept also contains other aspects, such as the company’s dos and don’ts or formulations outside certain standards that require approval. By means of the guideline or the communication concept all other media are designed in their formulation, from the image brochure for the own company up to the flyer, and of course also larger advertisements and campaigns.
Outdoor advertising naturally also plays an important role for many large corporations and companies. No matter whether it’s the placements on the way to work or on the way back home: from the food company to fashion to technology & automotive, there is a lot of competition in outdoor advertising. Unlike on the Internet, the space is not always available and advertisements cannot be exchanged every second. Outdoor advertising therefore requires a lot of preparatory work, organisation and planning in order to reach the consumer effectively. Here, too, the advertising texts must be very short and concise. Usually only two or three words, in combination with the visual language, which should convince the consumer.
All this work has only one purpose, to promote sales in business. Regardless of whether it is the point of sale in stationary retail or the point of sale as a digital marketplace, your own or a third-party online shop. As you can see, there are various and, above all, very diverse marketing opportunities. An experienced advertising agency helps with the selection of the media, but also with the formulation of the right texts. An overview of the areas of application:
Co-design, text and presentation ultimately lead to a major strategic goal, the development of one’s own brand. How do we present ourselves to customers? How do we present ourselves to our own employees? How should other competitors think of us? Brand building is a very complex and psychological topic. It is often small aspects that can make a brand known.
Example of brand development and brand image – Take a look at the name of our agency as a best practice example. The name Cocaine Models can and is sometimes controversial. At the same time, the name ensures that the agency is a topic of conversation in the right circles. The daring title of the name also conveys a certain philosophy of the agency, the young, the new, the rebellious. Of course all for the image only, in the background the agency is exhibited for high fashion customers as well as for advertising customers and promises extreme professionalism. The proximity to haute couture brands and international brands also sharpens the brand profile. The online presence focuses on young people and at first glance suggests to customers that there are tomorrow’s model newcomers here.
Regular events in an extremely high-quality setting as well as fashion shows and model castings ensure constant interaction, not only via digital media, but also live. In addition, representative work was quickly agreed with renowned agencies in mega-cities such as New York, London and Tokyo. This overall mix ensures that young talents feel very comfortable with us, as they have the chance of an international career, and at the same time customers see that we find the best talents in Germany through these targeted measures. An overall mix, which can be read over many pages in the planning, but, as you can see here, can also be described in short form.
Every brand image is individual! Advertising agencies are trained to find out the peculiarities of companies and to work out philosophies in such a way that they can also be reproduced in the shortest form.
Let’s find your brand core and let’s develop a strategy together with a three-, five- or ten-year vision!
Brands and branding at a glance:
The furnishing of business premises is definitely one of our favourite disciplines! Interior design, feel-good rooms, sales areas and, of course, how do we keep the customer in the store? But not only the point of sale is important, but also the media distributed within the business premises. Beginning with the shop window decoration, where you can rely on props as well as work very well with print, up to the checkout area and the reference to one or the other small take-away article.
Changing designs with changing campaigns and seasons, the installation of monitors and screens for moving images, in the area of POS material for business premises is much possible. It doesn’t always have to be the dusty brochure!
Advertising agencies are partly specialized to get involved in such ideas, to deliver creative concepts, how to stand out in the crowd! Especially in the shopping streets, which there are in every big city, the competition is big. In particular, fashion companies there are link to link ranked, like a chain. Where do I shop? The decision often only takes a few seconds. As we have already discussed before with the topic Corporate Design, it is firstly about the quick recognition of the brand and secondly again about the added value for our consumers! Maybe we have glasses and hats to match the current summer weather. Our media point directly to colors, cheerfulness and vacation. The perfect occasion to take a short break in the middle of the shopping mile! This is how effective POS marketing works in combination with business equipment, business premises and media.
Print advertising has always been important. Of course you can discuss the importance of a business card up and down. Ultimately, however, the point is to ensure that the business card, i.e. the contact, remains present. A name that’s only spoken is easy to forget. The business card remains on the desk. Just as with the business card, it is of course the same with other print media. Do you remember the catalogues from the 80s, 90s? The catalogue had permanent presence in the living rooms of families and households. Every now and then they rummaged in it and every now and then something was ordered. That’s exactly how it works today!
In the mailbox you discover a lot of advertising, 90% is not important for us, but sometimes we discover something that we pick up. The classic: the pizza card from the pizza baker around the corner. The pizza arrives fresh and hot, maybe you even get a few percent discount as a loyal regular customer. Continue with supermarket brochures, which are popular with many people. In the USA, couponing, collecting vouchers or combining them to get even bigger savings offers, has even become a real folk sport.
Although the world is becoming increasingly digital, print media retain their impact. From the business card, mentioned at the beginning, which remains on the desk, to the sales brochure in which the most important products are listed so that a sales representative or salesperson can present them immediately to the customer, to large posters, city lights and outdoor advertising.
Of course, we always recommend an individual mix of print media for your own business stationery. The car dealership needs brochures, fashion companies need large posters and sales representatives need the classic business card.
From our experience as a successful advertising agency we have very often noticed that large quantities are often ordered, therefore safety first! Particularly in the print sector, the costs for unit prices are falling enormously to high volumes. While the small hairdresser orders 1,000 pieces for 500 €, the automotive group orders 1,000,000 pieces for 5,000 €. The problem is that more than half of all printed media ends up in the warehouse and ends up in the garbage. A great waste of energy, from the loss of the trees, the production with energy, the manpower used and the inks in the print shop to the delivery to the passing on.
Therefore, when placing your final order, always think a little bit about the environment and ask yourself the question: do we really need one million pieces or are 100,000 pieces enough?
The production of photo and video material for the print media, but of course also for all online and digital media, is one of the major core elements of advertising agencies. Here it depends on the close cooperation with many freelancers. It starts with the organization, including the photo studio, the photographer, a videographer, possibly the assistant, one or more make-up artists, stylists for props and outfits… many workers, who have to be organized together at one appointment.
In order for this tour de force to work at all, a lot of experience in planning and organizing photo shootings is required. The processes must be exactly right, a concept must be available in advance that immediately makes sense to every team member. The customer, i.e. you, must have given your okay to this advertising concept and all team members must be briefed in detail with a complete moodboard, i.e. a paper in which all scenes are represented pictorially, up to the timing and final callsheet. In the callsheet you define which people are present at the production date, how to best reach them and the times and of course all information for the assistant, from the driver for airport and hotel transfers to the camera assistant. Here is an overview of the most important parameters:
Advertising and product photographers have a demanding job. Since we have to do very often with the material and also very frequently customers with us inquire whether we can support with the switching to first-class photographers, we have for this a separate range! Read more about the topic here:
The post-editing in photography makes up a large part of the first class. We work in particular with photographers who work for international young brands, because they have the most up-to-date image for the zeitgeist, and with those photographers who also frequently cooperate with magazines, because they focus in particular on high-end postproduction. In the area of Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop no one can fool them so quickly. Of course, many photographers also use Capture One. But no matter what the software’s name is for the photographers, we can get you to the best in retouching.
In the image editing process, you only use the Lightroom program once you’ve heard it. Here, all photos are transferred from the camera and released for selection in large quantities, but the colors are also corrected once in a while. This results in the pre-selection or selection for the customer, which can then be used to decide on the final photo motifs. As soon as you, the customer, have made your decision as to which photos will ultimately be used for the campaign, these photos will be retouched in detail. For the retouch, the post-processing of the photos, programs like Adobe Photoshop or Capture One are used. Here the details are worked on, from the skin to individual strands of hair and of course dust on the floor. The supreme discipline is skin, of course. The image must not appear unnatural and ultimately post-processing must never look like post-processing. The best photographers edit their photos so that most would assume that they were never reworked. Here lies the great art of advertising and product photography!
Search engine marketing is nowadays one of the central means for sales promotion. In the digital age almost all information flows go via search engines, from simple questions to complex formulations. Companies that deal with search engine optimization for online shops and websites are the experts for rankings in search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Bing or Yandex. Of course, Google is the absolute market leader on most continents. However, there are also various new search engines that offer new approaches, for example through ecological concepts. No matter how, in the field of search engine marketing you need an expert.
Our agency has already successfully brought over 50 clients to page one in over 20 countries around the world. Not only on page one, many of the keywords, which are search terms of the users, have also made it to number one, in the national as well as in the English-speaking area. Search engine marketing is so efficient because nobody goes to the city centres for new products anymore, first of all they search online. No matter whether they are digital marketplaces or the online shop. Not only products, but also services are increasingly called up online these days.
Search queries are very different, but they are interesting and relevant for every industry, because a large part of the competition takes place in the digital market today. This cross-media mix, i.e. the spread across different media, has become extremely important for companies. Search engine optimization also relies on scattering. Let’s take a quick look at the topic of search engine optimization.
Search engine optimization initially deals fundamentally with the placement of websites and online shops in the popular search engines all around Google, Bing or Yahoo. The higher a website is placed, the more clicks it receives. The goal for any search engine company is to reach number one. But why is place one so important? Let’s take a look at a heatmap from the market research, it shows the search engine Google and the views of the users after a search query. It is clear to see that the largest presence always has its place at the top left. Because here all users get caught with their eyes, the advertisements are also placed in this prominent place. The closer your website or online shop comes to this point, the more clicks you are likely to get and the more sales you can make. Here you can see the views again clearly in the heat map:
To reach page one, you first have to look at the competition. Is there a lot of competition or not? If, for example, we want to do search engine optimization in the area of real estate, apartments, insurance or financial services, we need correspondingly high capital for the implementation of the goals. It is already easier when it comes to more specific terms, for example the “lamp shop in Hamburg”. Here are a few examples of relatively difficult projects in search engine optimization and also a few simpler ones.
First a look at rather difficult keywords:
In addition to these hard to come by keywords, there are also simpler ones, for example local topics or niche topics:
In this little example you can see that the more exact the terms become, the easier search engine optimization will probably be. Whereby ‘simple’ in the context of search engine optimization does not necessarily mean that it is not complicated. It is only relatively less expensive. Ultimately, however, targeted search engine optimization always remains an ongoing project and not a one-off setup, as long as it is a medium-sized and large company.
So far we were only in the area of content, of course there are even more aspects in search engine optimization, for example the page structure, but it would go too deep into detail. More important is the additional OnPage optimization. OnPage refers to all changes and measures that are made on your own website or in your online shop.
But there is more to search engine optimization than just OnPage optimization.
As described, the OnPage optimization deals with a call of the own Internet page. The OffPage optimization then revolves around all measures outside the own online project. A large and central part of this is the generation of backlinks. Backlinks are links from other sites to our project.
Backlinks simply described:
The result of our backlink strategy or content and backlink strategy looks like this:
How do kitchen trends and houses fit together? In search engine optimization, you don’t just take up your rigid subject area, but also horizontally related topics. For example, when we talk about selling or buying a house, we should also talk about land in this context, i.e. garden, driveway and garage. But we should also report on the inner life of the house, from the kitchen to the living room, bathroom, children’s room, and of course family life, everything about electricity comparison, insurance comparison, but also tips for your own home such as formulating YouTube videos. A thousand ideas! One goal: sales promotion.
Our internal experts ensure international placements, in several languages and in several countries. No matter whether national project or international, we help you in all areas. With reference projects that speak for our quality.
After the search engine optimization we want to have a short look at the search engine analysis. The search engine analysis deals with the behaviour of users on our own website. In addition, the search engine analysis also considers the effects of our search engine optimization. Have we risen or fallen in the rankings? How can I improve my ranking on Google? With exact key figures you can draw conclusions from the reporting and monitoring of the search engine.
Modern, modern, social media marketing! Anyone who is a brand nowadays is of course also active in the social networks. But it is no longer just prestige that attracts companies to social networks, but increasingly also sales strength. Social networks have developed into the central communication channel of our society. No matter how far you are from each other, scattered across continents or even just in two different rooms, WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram dominate our daily lives. Therefore, having a clear presence in social networks is a central means for many companies to win new customers. As an advertising agency, social media marketing therefore plays an increasingly central role in the marketing context. Social networks are particularly popular as a communication channel for companies with young target groups.
Social networks are also constantly evolving. Facebook used to be a timeline with a connected messenger service. Meanwhile Facebook is a huge universe of groups, different interests, information pages, companies and of course billions of individuals. Facebook enables companies and firms to place targeted advertisements to selected target groups. Advertisements have extremely low wastage, they hit exactly the people our advertisement is supposed to hit. No matter whether our target group is between 19 and 20 years old or between 35 and 40 years old, male or female, with interests or with fewer hobbies. There are local, regional and also city related advertisements as well as live broadcasts for events. Thanks to the Campaign Manager, you can bring products and services to the right audience in the most extreme way. Instagram has also changed: while in the past it was relatively difficult for advertisers to monitor campaigns, i.e. clearly evaluate the successes, Instagram now also has the option of placing links. For example, you can specifically advertise online shop products that are also specifically linked. Subsequently, the conversion rate of visitors to a website to customers can be read off precisely and the success or failure of the campaign can be assessed.
However, with billions of users, social media has also evolved in other facets, not only in advertising. Individual users have turned out to be so creative that they have gathered more and more fans behind them. Today, their communities are made up of millions of people, and the technical term for these special users is Influencer.
About Influencer Marketing we already wrote a lot in our Social Media Blog! Influencer marketing deals with two central points:
Many companies have high expectations of influencer marketing. They understand influencer marketing, i.e. the cooperation with people in public life, as an advertisement: if I invest 500 €, I get 1,000 € out. Wrong thinking. Influencer marketing is more comparable to TV advertising, it ensures a regular presence within the target group and thus anchoring in the minds. If people are then looking for certain products and have received several recommendations from one or more of their favourite people in the social media in advance, you will remember our product and will therefore be more likely to choose the known or recommended product in the shop or online shop. This concept is called recommendation marketing.
Recommendation marketing is the core of influencer marketing. People who talk about us make the brand relevant. The more positive the statements about the brand are, the more likely users are to be willing to access this product. It is important not to place a product once, but over a regular period of time. Because unique advertisement goes up in smoke, no matter whether print, digital advertisement or even a flyer insert in the magazine. It is important that the brand is always present and thus taken into account in every purchase decision. Learn more about the topic here:
In former times internet pages were built statically with HTML. A little later the separation of structure and design came in HTML and CSS. The CSS file is global and contains all commands for the design, for example:
HTML contains all structural commands. The best known are Header and Footer. The header usually contains the menu and the footer the further information.
Webdesign is therefore concerned with the basic structure of Internet sites and online shops as well as their design. However, the design should not only be visually appealing, but also lead to sales. For this there will be special banners or collages and photomontages.
Today, however, the design of Internet pages comprises even more aspects, while earlier systems were statically structured as described, today’s Internet pages and shops are structured on the basis of a content management system. This content management system, as well as HTML and CSS, separates structure and design, i.e. the code of the website and the content that is displayed. Simply explained, all contents are stored in a large Excel table. Depending on which page a user calls, the contents of a line are retrieved. This row contains several values distributed over the individual columns. This includes for example the author, the publication date, the associated categories, linked images and media, the content of the article and much more. Thus, a website and an online shop today are built according to the following principle:
This is how modern content management systems such as WordPress and Typo3 are built, they belong to the absolute basis of every good advertising agency.
With the increasing diversification of end devices, web designers have to get used to more and more different formats. That’s why web design today is usually much less creative than it was ten years ago. Ten years ago there were relatively uniform image formats, each screen has approximately the same resolution. At some point notebooks, high definition monitors, and later mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets were added. Of course not to be forgotten in any modern household: the internet-capable 4k TV set, on which people also like to surf. All these different formats must be taken into account when designing websites and online shops. One of the most important end devices that is defined nowadays is:
As you can see from our website, it should be defined for all end devices. However, not only for the respective end devices, but also for the individual manufacturers and model types. Thus the iPhone 7 differs fundamentally from the iPhone 10. At the same time, models continue to differ, although they are coming onto the market at the same time. Ultimately, the right scaling, graphic design and preparation of the content must be found for every screen resolution. This optimization in usability is the daily bread for good advertising agencies.
Digital distribution has been gaining in importance for years. An end is not in sight and the annual growth figures prove the trend. More and more retailers are turning to their own online shop, not just the typical fashion companies or DIY stores. Also more and more smaller companies are naturally attracted in the area of online shopping. The antique dealer around the corner or the hairdresser, who will now offer his products under his own brand in the online shop in addition to Amazon.
Due to the previously mentioned innovations in Web 2.0, in particular the dynamic compilation of content by content management systems, online shops can be produced in great variety today. From a minimal design for exclusive and luxurious products to a large online shop with 10,000 products and more. We, too, have gathered some expertise, from online food retailers to sports fashion manufacturers. Online shops are subject to the same principles as websites. Especially the web design and of course the responsive design for all end devices plays an important role, as does search engine marketing. Every single product should be designed according to the criteria of search engine optimization. As can be statistically proven, the trend for online trading is clearly upwards.
As you can see, there is still a lot of scope in the area of e-commerce. From the automobile trade to building materials, wholesale markets and food retailers, but also for fashion companies, Internet providers or travel providers, it is worth considering setting up your own e-commerce.
More statistics can be found at Statista.
Today, comparison portals ensure that many people do without their own Internet presence. There are many examples from everyday life, be it food suppliers whose orders are entered via large platforms and who then deliver dinner, no matter whether pizza or Asian directly to the front door, to the provider of holiday apartments on platforms such as Airbnb. It is worthwhile to place your own e-commerce in connection with search engine marketing. This saves you costs for advertising, e.g. on portals or search engines, and you do not have to pay any sales commission or agency fee to the respective portal for successful sales. Therefore, the investment in an e-commerce model is definitely worthwhile in the long run.

We look forward to receiving your project enquiry and can provide you with competent answers. For employee training, guidelines or the complete full service of an advertising agency.
Advertising photographer and product photography – For many of our customers in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne, the search for the right advertising photographer or product photographer is very demanding. The desires must be understood, all challenges must be mastered. From the planning and organization over the booking of the models to make-up artist, stylist, photo studio and everything what belongs to it. We help you with good contacts from all major cities.
What is important in advertising photography and product photography? What do you have to pay attention to and which different areas are there among photographers? Here we have all the tips for your next shooting. You can find out more about our products here: Product photography.
In advertising and product photography the own artistic ego must be put back. Ultimately, it’s about the customer’s specifications, general Norman from advertising psychology, that make photos interesting, many aspects that good photographers have to consider when planning and organizing a photo shoot.
For the majority of photo and video productions, there is no second chance to shoot. Everything has to fit right from the start.
The first step to a photo shoot is always a detailed consultation with the photographer. It is not always the pure services that count. In a first conversation, the mutual sympathy can also be staked out. In photography, as with many media, the customer must be understood by the producer.
After the consultation and perhaps also their order confirmation, it goes on to the conception and organization of the photo shooting. Depending on whether it takes place on location, i.e. outside the photo studio outdoors or indoor, i.e. photo studio, the planning effort differs considerably. Especially since outdoor productions depend on the weather and therefore always entail a risk. Product photographers are less likely to ask themselves this question, as they usually work directly in the photo studio. Here you will find the right equipment for light and shadow.
After the location comes the team. From the photographer’s assistants to possible second photographers or videographers for larger productions. In addition to photographers and assistants, models must also be booked, hair and makeup artists, stylists, possibly for larger productions also extra lighting technicians, additional models and make-up artists, but also additional equipment, technique and equipment. This makes the booking process more complicated than expected. Having an experienced and professional photographer at your side is therefore very important in the preparation and organization of the photo shoot.
Of course, there are still a few differences between the advertising and product photographers and of course different areas of work.
If you still have questions about product photographers and advertising photographers, please contact our consultants. We will be happy to help you with the planning and organization of your photo shoot as well as with the selection of the best photographer.
If you are looking for a special advertising photographer or product photographer for the first time, no matter if it is for the topic fair and event, product photography in the photo studio or also photographing models and influencers, here we have a small summary for you with all important areas of advertising and product photography. For the different jobs there are of course also different challenges to consider. The better you respond to these particular challenges in the first consultation, the faster and better your shooting results will be.
In contrast to product photography, advertising photography conveys an essentially artistic image of the product or service. Advertising photography can be creative, but doesn’t have to be. Think only of employee shootings, here one has as a photographer already substantially less leeway. Let’s take a look together at the services of a photographer in the field of advertising.
To capture the philosophy of a company in a few photos is difficult and takes years of practice as well as experience. The photographer can, unlike the managing directors or owners, the company only from the first consultation and the final visit. However, the client expects perfection and that the company is 100% understood. Later there are often details in the picture, the appearance seems representative enough, some even like it a little pompous. If the photographer was not briefed on the picture language before, small things can quickly lead to big misunderstandings. Here it also depends again on a clean organization. As a company, always remember to write down your wishes and ideas in advance so that I can give potential photographers a quick overview and develop understanding for you and your company as quickly as possible.
Architecture usually has a special charm. Behind every building there is a thought, behind every staircase and behind every hallway. Not only architects have such close ties to their own business premises, but also employees and managers. Because behind every door there are stories. Not only the emotional vein must be considered in the photography of corporate objects and business architecture comma but also representative aspects that bring advantages in the competition for customers. The more high-quality and trustworthy a company is staged, the higher prices can be set, the higher customer loyalty is and the higher the recommendation rate. That is why it is worthwhile for advertising photographers to pay attention to such serious and representative traits in advertising photography.
More and more companies and enterprises book not only a photographer but also a videographer for their photography. Because if pictures say more than a thousand words, how much does a video say? Not only is the moving image itself an excellent means of staging the company’s own premises, but the use of drones is also becoming increasingly popular. By drone flights in 4K resolution company premises can be shown in a gracefulness, as it was hardly possible before. Compared to the thousands of photos we know from our competitors, the angle of view alone is a clear difference and, of course, a recognition feature. Therefore, when booking your photographer, also remember to consider newer and more modern forms.
Employee portraits and board portraits differ depending on the type of presentation you choose as a company. It is important to look representative towards customers but also towards stakeholders in any form. It doesn’t matter whether the expression is in the direction of creativity, i.e. a little more playful, or the expression is more in the direction of seriousness, different facets can be covered by a photographer.
For growing companies it is important to consider that in case of permanently coming new employees a photographer will be found who will have time for subsequent shootings. For example, if you use a cheaper photographer outside your city, he may not be as spontaneously available for a next appointment as he was before. With a renowned photographer, you can be on the safe side for your company.
To depict work processes and product development processes requires a great deal of understanding for moving images, as does the relationship to employees, photography and architecture. Here it depends on exposure times, exact alignment of the camera, but also the ability to have products in a fast flow nevertheless focused in the photo.
In order to depict processes in the company in such a way that they are easy to understand for the final visitor or viewer, one should fall back on an experienced photographer. Many facets of advertising photography live from the moving image. Just think of advertising for insurance, a family interacts on the sofa together, there is also a dog and as a prop the football of the national team, since the insurance company is just sponsor. While we’re at sports, just think of sports shots for fashion and accessories manufacturers.
In order to record processes in the image, e.g. in shoe production, one not only needs experience but also time in relation to a photo production in the photo studio, there are still parameters on site in the factory that cannot be influenced. Frequently, for example, employees are still on site, as there is parallel operation as a regulator. We provide you with experienced photographers who consider all the important variables in their planning and capture the best moving images for you.
Large companies, pharmaceuticals, fashion, food or furniture, are constantly present at trade fairs. With a large show area, various employees, hostess service and perhaps even a moderator who presents new products every hour. The trade visitors are invited and on the second and third day the fair will be open to the public. Great effort and great emotions that are captured by fair photographers. Here is the special challenge for the photographer to photograph many different and moments. A lot happens at the exhibition stand and of course a lot of energy, time and effort is invested in the planning of the exhibition stand. Accordingly, the photographer’s photographs must be of corresponding quality.
You don’t need the photographer for the whole time of the fair but you should focus on one day. On this one day, of course, all employees, hostesses and, of course, additional staff such as moderators know what to do. So everyone can adjust to this day and give 100% power additionally for the camera. This saves time and money.
At the end of a fair, after processing the photos, there is a particularly large selection of photos at dinner. Because completely differently than with advertising photography jobs for Onlineshops not only 500 pictures but with under 5.000 pictures develop. Therefore it is also recommended to have a good photographer with experience of trade fairs on board, because here the preselection is worth a lot. So that you as a customer do not get 5,000 photos at the end but a targeted selection of 50.

Alice is new and has already proven in the first shootings: She’s got power! Our photographers were thrilled and now it’s off to our model agency. No matter if Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne or Munich, we are looking forward to the first common jobs and castings.
If you want to become a model at 16, that is exacly the rigth age. Normally at this age you are still in school, so you have about 2 years to take a look in to the model world and do smaller jobs on the weekend or during your holidays. You have enough time to see if this is really the right thing for you and if you can imagin to continue modelling after school. At the time you are about 17-18, you will be ready to work as a professional model and will already have a model book, with great pictures. Most of the best Models all over the world started in the age of 14-16. If you want to know more about modeling, check out become a model or the blog: become a model.
If you want to be a model at the age of 16, then you have the perfect age to start in a modeling agency. Modeling agencies specialize in building talented youngsters, and you’re probably about to graduate at the age of 16. If you have graduated from school, then you have enough time to work as a model! Because it’s not just about jobs, as we wrote in the blog post about Model at the age of 15, you will also need a lot of time if you want to work abroad as an international model. Our modeling agency works together with many partners abroad and can therefore help you with an international modeling career, an unbeatable advantage compared to many modeling agencies. We work with renowned partners in New York, Paris, Milan but also in Asia in Tokyo and Shanghai. But for an international modeling career you need a lot of time, as just described. An ordinary stay with a partner agency abroad takes 45 to 60 days for you. During this time you work completely for the partner agency and for their customers. What is the advantage of working abroad?
If you work as a model abroad, you will come to photographers who have different styles and see pictures with a different eye. When you are back in your own country, these pictures will pop out of your model portfolio and you will see that you have international experience.
Also, it will come at some point, the better you are as a model, the higher your demands on photographers. At some point you will only work with the best photographers from your city, that’s not many, maybe 5 or 50, depending on whether you work in a German city like Berlin or in an international megametropolis like London. Most models do not come from an international megacity, but from smaller cities with 50,000 inhabitants or 100,000 inhabitants. There is not a single photographer with an international level here, so you need a modeling agency that can represent you nationally but also internationally. That’s the only way you can safely go the way that leads you to a profitable career.
You can already see how demanding the job of a model can be. We did not even talk about castings or test shoots or jobs with customers. Not only do you take care that you have a lot of ambition and motivation, you still have to make sure that you continue your education yourself. That’s why the school is so important to you! If you are ever in the small talk with international clients, photographers, make-up artists or stylists, then you should be able to keep up. What is happening in the US, what is happening in Asia? If you want to work as a model, then you definitely have to think outside the box and I also deal with other topics. At some point, maybe a shoot in the automotive industry or a moderation at a trade fair will be out of fashion for you. Then you have to be able to adjust spontaneously and flexibly to a new situation and a new topic.
Since you are 16 at the end of your school, you have the perfect age to start as a model. Last year, you can once again focus on building your model portfolio with local photographers. You can do first jobs as a model and gain experience first. If you have practiced for one or two years or have also done your first practical jobs, you are ready for foreign countries! Especially at a young age models are in demand abroad, because the faces are new and customers are interested in new faces. Who is new, is interesting! If you are an interesting guy, then apply to us at Cocaine Models!
16 is a really good age to start your model carrere. Below you can find some famous models who also started with the age of 16-18.
Candice Swanpoel the beautiful model from South Africa has been discovered by strolling over a flea market. At that time she was 16 years old. Before she had collected first model experiences in Paris.
When Doutzen Kroes was 18 years old she sended her pictures to some Agencies, just to earn some extra money. After her first try she had her model contract. Her name got famous when Star photographer Steven Meisel shooted her for the Cover of the italian “Vogue”.
These are the measurements points for your first modeling agency application. Take care, that you are totally honest. More about: Take your own measurements for agencies, castings and jobs.

First send us your application with the most important data, your name, your place of residence, contact details and two simple photos you take of yourself with your mobile phone in daylight. Please do a portrait and a full body picture. Please make sure that the pictures are taken in daylight so that you can be seen naturally. Speaking of naturalness, for your application photos please don’t wear make-up and leave any styling. Wear simple black jeans, plain shoes and a white top for the photos and casting. Nothing to distract you! Once again briefly summarized.
With these four points you can apply for our Modelcasting in Berlin, Munich and Cologne and with a little luck you will get an invitation from our Model Scout! Invitations are sent within 48 hours. In case of rejection, no message will be sent.
The requirements for models differ for male models and female models in their body size, why is that so? As you can read in our article about Pret-a-Porter and Haute Couture, fashion collections in particular are cut to size by designers. This allows uniform fashion shows to be held later, but also showrooms and photo shootings. Due to the identical dimensions it is easier for designers but also for event agencies and advertising agencies to plan concepts and shows.
Women are usually 10 cm smaller than men. If you want to take off as a female model in Berlin, you should have a minimum size of 174 cm, even better 175 cm. The ideal case for female models in Berlin is 178 to 180 cm. This gives you the perfect size to work as a model. A minimum size of 185 cm applies to men models in model agencies. Ideally, you shouldn’t be over 6’8″. At High Fashion Models the figure should be slim, so you have the best chances to work for international high fashion brands. You’re more flexible as a Curvy model. But the body size should be similar. Here once again the most important summarized
As mentioned above – we just point out – you should have no styling / make-up at the casting, as well as at the photos for your application, plain clothing is the be-all and end-all! You should also do without makeup, your hair should be open. If you want to work for us in Berlin, it’s all about naturalness! No tanning salon, no gel nails, no hair extensions and above all no dyed hair! That’s why come to the casting absolutely naturally.
You know a beautiful woman with clothing sizes over 36-38? Then tell her now about our model casting on 13 April in Berlin. Already after our first Curvy Model Casting in Berlin, at the beginning of the year, we could find four new talents! They were already allowed to make the first showrooms. As a Berlin model you can go a long way, even if your measurements don’t suit the high fashion industry. Apart from high fashion, there is a lot of potential: catalogues, online shops, advertising and much more. Especially Plus Size Models are gradually conquering more market shares.
In advertising, they are much more authentic, since their dimensions resemble those of the average German woman. Did you know that the average woman in Germany is 44 in size? If you know a beautiful girl or a beautiful woman, tell her about us now!

The Model Book: Become a Model – Handwritten over many months, with detailed research, simple steps and many insider tips for models! Everything about “modeling” and “becoming a model”. Maybe the new standard work. In THE MODEL BOOK you will learn in different chapters, step by step, one after the other, the entire advertising industry and its special features. As a model, especially as a young model, you have to pay attention to many details at the beginning of your career. What do you mean, you don’t know? Who accepts the wrong jobs, does not find the right agency or builds up his buck in the wrong direction, can quickly build up a bigger career. Models also have only a few years to reach the important steps. The better prepared you are as New Face for this time, the easier it will be for you to gain a foothold in the industry and earn money as a model. In the Model Book you will therefore learn chapter by chapter and step by step how to prepare yourself for the start of your modeling career.
In the first chapter you will learn all about the indispensable mental strengths of a model. What requirements do you have to meet, quite apart from the often perfect measurements, in order to convince as a model at photo shootings and advertising video shootings?
For you, the most important thing here is your own self-confidence, four personal initiatives and self-organisation. As a model, you will be sent on journeys at an early age. Sei is at the age of 15 years in the next big city, by plane from Frankfurt to Hamburg or just a few months and years later across Europe and the world. As a model, especially in the high fashion world and in skin couture, the international path is always open. If you take your chances early enough and I prepare perfectly for them myself, you can go far. Quite different from television, real top models are less about the story, drama and self-production. For models it’s about absolute willpower and belief in yourself (yourself!). As you will learn in the next chapters of the book, as a model you will have to face many exams! Absolute trust is an absolute priority for your modeling agent and your modeling agency.
Mother agencies, model agencies, fashion agents, boutique agencies and bookers – What?!
Before it goes to the big topic of model castings, the first showrooms and jobs, the book deals with the search for the perfect agency. Each model agency has its own portfolio and clientele. Often model agencies are very specialized in a certain area (advertising, high fashion, etc.). Also the size of agencies is different. There are some Modelbookers who hardly know anybody, but who have the best contacts and only work with 5-15 models. There are small agencies, large agencies with hundreds of employees and huge international model agencies such as IMG or ELITE.
In general, you can distinguish model agencies like this: There are international agencies, national agencies and regional model agencies. The more international a model agency is, the stricter are the requirements for your measurements, but also the higher are the requirements to be accepted as a model by this model agency (experience, pictures, etc.). With national agencies, advertising (supermarkets, insurance companies, etc.) is very often the issue, here it is not too important to have a perfect figure, with perfect proportions and exact body size. The measures in national markets therefore differ from those of the international standard. For models who work in regional areas, the dimensions count even less. This is often about smaller jobs and smaller fairs (hostess). As an international high fashion model, you naturally want to join the big brands, but of course you have to prepare yourself perfectly!
In order to find the best agency for you and your requirements, you will learn in the book what a perfect model agency application looks like and how to find the best model agency for you! Many questions are also answered here, for example, whether you need a lot of photo material for your application The simple answer is: No, you just need Polaroids. The Model Scouts in agencies have a very trained view and can recognize by their experience of many years, already by simple Polaroids whether you have potential for the agency or not. Polaroids are super simple photos with the smartphone, in daylight. That’s it. If you want to know how to make perfect Polaroids for your application, read more here: Become a model. For your application you don’t need a long cover letter or to describe how motivated you are! There’s just a little bit of key information. These are usually your name, your place of residence, your contact details and three to four photos. You also write down your measurements: your body size, hips, waist, bottom and shoe size.
Once you have found the perfect model agency for you, you can start with the first test shootings with photographers! Of course your model agency will help you a lot to get only the best photographers. Your agency will also see to it that you get a wide range of material for your model portfolio. Many make the mistake of focusing purely on “fashion photos”. Especially when there’s no agency in the background to advise you as a model. My tip: As a model you should always make sure that your model portfolio is as multi-faceted as possible. Not every customer can directly imagine what one can make of you as a guy. The photos help the customer to make his decision. The more extensive your photo portfolio is in the model folder, the more likely it is that customers will be able to make bookings.
Someday your book will be so full, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Which photo do I put in the folder, which one not? With professional models, the folder is so strong at some point that they are booked more and more often directly. Direct bookings are very good because you don’t have to attend a casting and are not in a pre-selection. You don’t have to keep days off (“Option”), you will be booked directly by the customer for an appointment!
So that you can build up your model portfolio perfectly, you’ll also learn in the book how to get your own test shoots (also called TFP shoots in Germany) from photographers. As a modeling agent, I have to deal with test shootings for our models on a daily basis, so here are a few valuable tips on how you should ideally write to photographers. What’s the matter with you? With the right cover letter, your chances of getting good test shoots will increase. There are some little tricks I’ll tell you in the book. In principle, it can be said that you should briefly deal with the photographer instead of “just” writing to him or her. You should also create a suitable moodboard. The more interesting the shooting is for the photographer of your choice, the more time-saving the shooting is, the higher is your chance for the test shooting! So take a good look at what the photographer has already done and what not.
You shouldn’t do too much with the test shoot, though. If I post a new photographer on Facebook and Instagram every day, your market value may drop quickly. Why should a big customer still pay a lot of money if “every” photographer is allowed to photograph you for free? With a professional modeling agency behind you, you will of course get direct tips and the best contacts so that you are as exclusive as possible!
If you take care of yourself and his portfolio, you should make sure that you want the photographer to expand your portfolio. If you already have five photo series with “Fashion”, maybe you should try something new! To help you do this, you’ll get all the tips you need to write the perfect letter to photographers.
Daily business. We did it! You have prepared yourself well for being a model, written a good application, found a serious agency, built up and expanded your model portfolio, you get the first castings and voila: The first jobs! The tasks are then very extensive and varied. Unlike normal office life, you don’t have to deal with the same tasks every day. You won’t be working every day either. Sometimes you have free time, sometimes you will travel, sometimes you are already one day earlier on site for the fitting. In between, many young models study, so you’ll soon have a full-time job! Especially when you go abroad.
First you will start your career with small jobs for online shootings, you will work on showrooms, maybe do some online shops and get your first commercials. When you’re ready, you’ll earn enough money to get to professional photographers and to bring your model portfolio to an even higher level with new photo series from top photographers! With new photos you will get better jobs again. At some point it will be time and if your model portfolio is full enough, your agency can also suggest you for abroad in its partner agencies. So even as a young model you can quickly get to the international metropolises, Milan, Paris and New York. Many models now also go to Asia, Shanghai and Hong Kong. But some also go to large production facilities such as Istanbul. But the Big Four remain the dream of all models: London, Paris, Milan and New York.
A model’s job is really exhausting! So there is another chapter that deals only with how you eat healthily and how you live healthily. You will also get great beauty tips on how to take care of yourself, your skin and your hair even during strenuous jobs and many days of travel. You have many shootings, many appointments and often don’t find the time to cook something fresh for yourself. Then you have to go on to the next shooting and maybe you still have overtime. After eleven hours of shooting and “smiling”, you are absolutely knocked out back to the hotel. You’ll find the best tips on how to keep fit anyway in the book! The book not only shows you how to become a model and what you will experience as a model, you also get practical tips for the time after the jobs.
After you can keep yourself fit in the hard everyday life of a model and eat a healthy diet, we go one step further: Networking! When you’re out and about at fashion shows or photo shoots, there are often people with a taste for fashion. Therefore it is good and important if you know a little about the absolute basics. Small talk is always important! Whether at the Fashion Week or in your model agency. Therefore, an entire chapter is devoted to the theme of fashion. Where does fashion come from, why does it actually exist? Is fashion just clothes or is fashion more? How do trends influence us? Who sets trends? It also deals with the two important parts of fashion: haute couture and pret-a-porter. Both fashion styles are very important for designers, as well as for models and the entire advertising industry and production behind fashion.
Fashion changes at any time. That’s why the Fashion Week in the fashion metropolises doesn’t just take place once a year. In Paris, Milan and New York there are more often big fashion events! “Spring/Summer”, “Autumn/Winter”, “Prefall”, “Fashion Week Mens”, and so on. New collections of fashion designers are constantly being presented. Meanwhile, backstage before, during and after the shows, you’ll be coming back to fashion again and again. So you know what it’s like to be a model in haute couture and pret-a-porter.
show the book in the chapter about trends and fashions!
Now you have learned everything to make it in Germany as a model! For the best of the best it goes on now, abroad! Here you will get to know the big model world. At first quite small, with other models in a large model WG. Later, when you have convinced the first agencies of yourself and are booked again for the following season, also get to know new agencies and your schedule gets fuller and fuller, you have done it. Now you can get to know the world, travel and meet interesting people on jobs every day. This is the dream of all young models. Everybody wants to go to the big media circus when they say “I want to be a top model!”
The way there is long and as described in chapter 1, success is mainly connected with the mental power of a model. You have to be true to yourself, you have to believe in yourself! Not just for a few weeks, but for years. Even the biggest top models in the world and supermodels of Victoria’s Secret shows have taken a few years to really succeed and become famous. They started very early, were partly discovered very early by scouts and worked their way up for years, first beside school, then full time, to the “superstars” they are today for many.
Not every model will follow the path of high fashion and international advertising. The book also gives models on national markets a very informative insight, so that you as a “commercial” model can also take a lot of important things with you. You will learn a lot about the agency search, how to set up and expand your modelbook, how to find the perfect photographers, what jobs to expect and what opportunities you have to make a career as a model! I wrote the book for several months and met interesting people for it, as well as fashion photographer Oliver Rudolph. Part of the work was also created in collaboration with Michelle Hamacher. I thank you very much and look forward to further cooperation! With this book we give young, new models a realistic insight into the fashion industry and wish each one of you much success and the very best for your individual way!
In the new edition you will not only find all topics but also more than fifty recommendations for model agencies in Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne/Düsseldorf and Munich.
After many publications about media, THE MODEL BOOK is my first work for models. It’s about being a model, but it’s also about your media coverage. Self-marketing takes up a large part, including the correct, first handling of media. In the model agency many questions reach us daily. The book is intended to give young models and new faces a good and optimal start, with good agencies and good jobs.
Our new model takes the catwalks by storm – Olga. It already adorned the cover of the Velvet. The issue was about Richard Branson and other exclusive VIP news. Besides the Velvet Olga was already on the cover of the trend Privé and Glance. Depending on the light, she looks confusingly similar to US superstar Rihanna.
Velvet, Privé and Glance – Olga was already on several covers. Here are some of our personal favorites from Olgas Model Book

Have you decided to become a model or would you like to give your model career more seriousness and work more professionally? Then the first step is to find the right agency. You already have an appointment at an agency? Read how to prepare for your interview here!
If you want to apply to us, you will find everything you need to know about the topic here:
An agency is very important for a model, because it supports and protects you as a model. She helps you find photographers and jobs. No matter if you are booked as a model for shootings or catwalks, the agency will show you in the best light. The bookers know how to present yourself optimally with your book. As “New Face” you will be supported by your agency in setting up your book and your setcard. One very important point: an agency protects you from dubious customers and dubious job enquiries. Usually dubious customers already shy away when they learn that a model is represented by an agency. This is particularly important for an international modeling career, because models abroad are often underpaid and exploited. A reputable model agency ensures that you do not work unpaid overtime, that you do not take dubious pictures of yourself, that you are adequately paid and accommodated. In addition, the agency will determine in advance whether the job is of high quality and whether you can be associated with the customer as a model without your image suffering as a result. At best, every job should prove your model qualities and positively underline your image.
There are now plenty of model agencies. But how do I even find a suitable model agency? And when is a modeling agency serious? Your search starts on the Internet. It’s convenient if your agency is within your radius. That’s why you should simply enter “Model agency + your city” in Google and browse the results. Since it is generally important for a model to be represented in the larger “Mode & Medien-Städten” in Germany, you should search for “Modelagenturen + Hamburg/ Berlin/ München/ Köln/ Düsseldorf/ Frankfurt”. You’ll get some results. The next hurdle: Now how do you know which of the agencies are even serious? One possibility is that there are already ready-made model agency lists on the Internet that are constantly updated, for example the Vogue list. With this you can assume that only well-known and serious agencies are listed. However, as a dedicated model you should take a closer look at your selected agencies yourself before applying.
In order to find out for yourself which agency is serious, you should go through different steps.
Recognize reputable model agencies:
Agency is not serious if:
You have now found a suitable, reputable model agency and would like to apply as a model. What’s the best way to apply? Nowadays, applications are usually sent by e-mail, which means that you can find an e-mail address and a contact person to whom you can send your application via the agency’s website.
Most agencies publish their admission criteria on their websites. In general, you should state your measurements in your mail, i.e. chest, waist and hip circumference. You should attach great importance to the accuracy and timeliness of your measurement data, because an agency does not like it at all if you make false statements. You’ve never taken measurements yourself? No problem. No problem.
You simply measure your measurements with a normal tape measure. If you’re unsure, get someone you can trust to help you. To determine the exact circumference of your chest, the tape measure must be placed at the widest point of the chest and pulled to tension. Important for women: If you wear a bra when measuring, pull off approx. 1 cm, for push-up bras at least 2 cm. To determine the circumference of your waist, place the tape measure at the narrowest point and pull it tight. You measure the hip circumference at the widest point of your hip or bottom. The optimal model measurements for a woman (as a guideline) are 90-60-90.
In addition to your measurements, you should include pictures in your application. You should make a selection that shows you in different facets, i.e. commercial, fashion and beauty pictures from your book as well as simple Polaroids. You don’t have a book yet and no Polaroids? No problem. No problem.
Some agencies prefer models who already have a certain selection of pictures. So you should start looking for different, good photographers. The easiest way to do this is via the Internet. Do the same as your agency search, i.e. search for professional photographers in your area, check their websites, look at their pictures and search for ratings of the photographers by other models. Important: Make a conscious choice. It is of little use to you if you thoughtlessly select numerous photographers who take similar pictures of you (for example, only fashion pictures). Rather, you should choose a few photographers who take different pictures of you in different “directions”, i.e. fashion, commercial and beauty pictures. Here applies: Invest rather a little more money, so that the pictures become qualitatively high-quality and convince. Only those who invest will benefit.
At some agencies even simple Polaroid pictures are sufficient for the application. You can do this yourself or get support from a friend or family member. Polaroids are clean pictures that show your body and face in different facets and give the agency a first impression of you. Polaroids show you in front of a white wall, a good exposure, without make-up, in plain, tight-fitting clothes (skinny jeans or leggings & simple top or T-shirt) and with women preferably in high shoes. One picture should be taken of you in underwear, on one picture you should laugh, on the other one you should look rather expressionless into the camera. Important: No big posing! The pictures should be simple and natural.
If you meet all the criteria of the model agency and the bookers find you interesting, you will be invited to a personal interview at the agency.

If you are on the road in Berlin all day long, it is only understandable that hunger will strike at some point. But what should you eat with so much on offer? Don’t worry, we’ve picked out some great locations for you. From a noble restaurant to a delicious snack on the corner – there is something for everyone.
Our first recommendation is the Sicilian Orlando in Prenzlauer Berg. The place, where owner Giulia Paolillo welcomes her guests like friends, is at the same time a delicatessen, kitchen for individual catering and location for relaxed events and family celebrations. There you can buy delicious wines, delicious caponata, coffee and homemade olive oil. Anyone who loves a culinary trip to Sicily is in the right place.

Yeah, you heard right. The bastard is regarded as one of THE meeting places for a good meal. Breakfast is particularly popular there. On weekends, visitors usually queue up and you have to be lucky that someone gets up. The waiters politely ask that other guests be allowed to join them at the tables. The audience is, typically Kreuzberg, colourfully mixed and international. The breakfast menu is comprehensive, very varied and appealing. There are scrambled eggs, cheese and sausage as well as vegetarian and vegan breakfast dishes and delicious cakes. The homemade brioche are a poem – try it with cream cheese and jam. The coffee in the bastard is excellent. Apart from the long waiting time, the bastard is definitely worth a visit, as the breakfast variety is hardly comparable to that of another restaurant. So off to the bastard in Kreuzberg.
Don’t worry, for our vegan readers we have also found a mega location, the La Stelle Nera in Berlin-Neuköln. The menu offers you an unforgettable experience of Neopolitan pizzas from the wood-burning oven. Of course everything with high-quality, organic flour and, if you like, with vegan cheese or vegan salami. If you don’t want pizza there is of course, as usual with Italians, delicious vegan pasta. The pasta is also made completely in-house to ensure that no animal products are used. La Stella Nera also offers other Italian delicacies such as antipasti, salads and of course the finest homemade desserts. Créme Caramel, for example, is a vegan cream-caramel pudding with orange sauce, which is very popular with all guests. If you like it traditional, you can also order a vegan tiramisu for dessert. However, it is important to know that if you want to eat there, you should reserve a place beforehand. La Stella Nera is quite well visited and so spontaneous is the chance that you won’t get there.
Kebap fans watch out – nowhere is there a better kebab than at Mustafa’s vegetable kebap. We don’t make that up, every day hundreds of enthusiastic doner fans go to the snack bar at the Mehringdamm. For many this is even the only reason to come to Berlin. We constantly hear that people drive from the airport directly with suitcases to the popular snack bar to treat themselves to a kebab – unbelievable. However, you can’t reserve a seat there in advance. If you want a really tasty doner kebab for just under 3 euros, you have to allow for about 45 to 60 minutes of waiting time. However, every visitor can only recommend that you do this, because it is really worth it.

Berlin, the beautiful capital of Germany. In such a huge metropolis there is something to discover around every corner, from a small curious bar to a crazy flea market with a karaoke event. To coincide with Fashion Week, we have a few locations for you that you must visit to make your time in Berlin even more exciting.
Everyone knows a flea market – here a few old cassettes from childhood and there a few dusty books. But if you want to have a special flea market experience, you have to check out the popular flea market at Mauerpark. Every weekend people flock to the location to get cool rarities, fashion, bags, design, vnyl, jewellery and much more. Apart from an incredible variety of things you can buy there, it also offers fun karaoke events every Sunday. There you can show what you can do in front of over 1000 spectators.

Missing the Sundays at #Mauerpark! 🌝 Haven’t been in a while and won’t go much this winter beside the month of December I guess, as cumulating the week job and the full Sunday at Mauer is quite a lot. Plus I got a lot of work on the website side! Already 50+ products listed ✨, but that’s not even a quarter of what I have. It’s kind of funny to put a number in front of my stock of #magic #jewellery! Earrings are tiny, who would have guessed that I have already so many?! Special ❤️ to my Sunday Mauerpark #bestmate @mayakennedytrepat from @mayastreasures_! Can’t wait to see your new treasures 😘 #jewelry #flohmarkt #flohmarktammauerpark #sundaymood #summerthoughts #marketlife #marketgirl #berlin #earrings #jewelrygram #instajewelry #onlineshop #comingsoon

Yes, it’s maybe one of the 0815 things you can do when you’re in Berlin. However, we can only recommend it to you – the television tower at Alexanderplatz. Berlin from above is nowhere better to experience, simply to Alexanderplatz, drive up and 360 degrees experience the big city. Also we can be inspired every time again to experience this view. Depending on the time of day, you may have to wait a while, as the rush can be quite high, but we assure you that it is worth waiting.

Berlin’s most beautiful square in the historic centre of the metropolis is the Gendarmenmarkt. Anyone who is a fan of architecture and a breathtaking atmosphere should definitely pay a visit to the Gendarmenmarkt. The German cathedral alone is worth a visit. When you enter the cathedral you can see an exhibition of the German Bundestag. On the development of parliamentary democracy in Germany. The French Cathedral houses the Huguenot Museum. The French Friedrichstadtkirche is still in the lower part of the building. A must see for every culture fan.

No snack is as famous as Mustafa’s vegetable kebap. For 2.90€ and a lot of patience you get the “best doner kebab in the world” at Mehringdamm. Unbelievably many people even come to Berlin especially for this or come directly from the airport. However, the average waiting time is about 45 to 60 minutes. So it’s best to take a snack with you while you wait in line, because it’s pretty crowded every day. All we can do is tell you it’s worth it! Mustafa’s vegetable kebap is something you should not miss.
If you are already in Berlin, you must also visit KaDeWe – Berlin’s most famous department store. Who doesn’t love shopping? We wouldn’t know where you’d have more fun shopping than at the KaDeWe. From Armani to Adidas you will find a huge variety of brands where you are guaranteed to find what you are looking for. But keep in mind that it is not the cheapest department store, as it is also one of the most expensive department stores in Germany. Although there are no Chanel, Prada, Gucci and co., there are other upmarket brands. But even if you don’t want to buy anything, the KaDeWe is worth a visit, even if you just want to admire the incredible architecture.

You have to organize your first fashion show in Berlin, Hamburg or Munich and don’t know where to start yet? In our small agency 1×1 for models and designers you will find all the important points you need to consider when planning a fashion show. From the first model casting to the rehearsal before the show. As an agency we have already accompanied several fashion shows, among others together with Daab at the Mercedes-Benz Cologne Fashion Days. Based on our experience as young designers we not only want to give you tips for planning, but also a small checklist!
A fashion show is defined in the Duden as “an event at which the latest fashions are presented”. This is very broad. Closer illuminated is a fashion show the presentation of fashion collections in a certain staging. The collections of designers and labels are usually presented seasonally on the catwalk by models. The staging of the fashion show can be determined individually, there is no generally defined procedure. As a rule, a fashion show ends with a repeated, fast appearance of all models of the show and the “bowing” of the designer to the audience. The audience can be either the general public or an exclusive circle of invited guests and/or the press. As a rule, however, every fashion show focuses on a few key points in the organisation of agencies:
Fashion shows take place in many cities in Germany. Especially well known for fashion shows in Germany are the fashion cities of Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Cologne.
One of the well-known fashion shows in Munich is the Secret fashion Show in Munich. This is organised by the Mplus Agency and takes place in May and October.
The fashion metropolis Berlin is known for the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. One of the hottest shows every season is the fashion show by Guido Maria Kretschmer. The sympathetic designer is also known from the TV format “Shopping Queen” on VOX.
The Plus Size Fashion Days in Hamburg are organized by the team of the Kurvenrausch Blog. Kurvenrausch organises fashion shows, beauty events, re-styling campaigns and more in Hamurg.
The CPD fashion fair is held regularly in Düsseldorf. Düsseldorf is THE fashion city in NRW. The CPD regularly attracts numerous fashion enthusiasts and retailers. The Fashion platform in Düsseldorf is also popular in the fashion industry.
Besides mixtapes from DJ’s there are also fashion shows with live music. One band that is known for fashion show music is for example B.O.X.E.R. They already stood for shows of different designers on “The Catwalk”…
More about the different running styles can be found in the article: Haute Couture & Pret-a-Porter.
If you want to organize your first fashion show and you still need help for a full success or you want to put the whole project into firm hands, it is recommended to hire a fashion show agency.
Oh my God – Summer Look! Sabina is super new to us. With 175 cm and a size of 34/36 she has not only for the German market great model measurements. More of Sabina you can find at Instagram or here in Sabinas Model Book.
Sabina does not only shine on jobs, she was also already printed on one or the other fashion magazine cover, like here:

Parallel to Fashion Week we invited our New Face Franziska to Berlin. In Berlin-Mitte, on Museum Island, we had the perfect location to present our young talent in a completely different light. With two photo shoots and this new video from our videographer Robin Platte. Franziska is a real cutie! Although she is still very young, she is already very professional in her work and shows absolute motivation and commitment to become a model. Of course, as a model manager and model agency, it is a pleasure to meet such fresh talent in Berlin and get to know her for the first time, just like me. Franziska has strong prerequisites to really get off to a good start as a model. From fashion magazines, catwalks, photo shoots to videos for fashion companies. We and our partners see great potential in Franziska and that is why we were very pleased to welcome them to Berlin. But enough written, pictures say more than a thousand words!
Charming! Camille is very British, so we are all the more pleased that we were able to win the Hamburg model as a partner in Germany and management. Camille is Curvy Model and brings in all shootings, every single look absolutely ontime. We are very pleased to be able to work with her. Especially the plus size market for oversize and curved models is growing more and more and needs new talents like Camille!
Our Creative Arts Director Oliver Rudolph spoke about the trend and the tendency towards curved models in an interview with the fashion magazine FIV Magazine a year ago. VIPs are also looking for Curved Models for jobs on TV, but fashion bloggers like Riccardo Simonetti are also at Fashion Week looking for great Plus Size Models for their Hamburg fashion show. Accordingly, our customers are increasingly sending us requests and enquiries as to whether we have a beautiful curved model for the next photo shoot. Now we have it!
Camille is our first Curved Model and we are very happy to support her as management in building her model portfolio as well as her career. Camille’s first fashion video, shot together in Berlin, can now be found on our YouTube Channel! If you don’t want to miss a video, follow our modeling agency on YouTube.

The next Cara Delevingne? This is not a quote from us but a quote from Chefscout of one of the biggest model agencies in the world. Based in New York, Paris and many other cities. Luisa is New Face and just got back from the USA. She was there for a year and learned a lot about life and the country. Now she is back in Germany and we start her modeling career. This includes not only first test shoots and videos, but also castings for international agencies to prepare for life as a model in the big world. Very rarely, the scouts of the biggest international agencies visit our model agencies in Berlin or Cologne to meet some of our models, selected and selected. What is such an internal agency casting about? For months and even years in advance, the world’s largest and most renowned agencies have secured the option for young models. Whoever has absolutely great talent will be confirmed years in advance for one of the major international agencies.
Until then, we as the parent agency will take care of the construction, organize shootings, jobs, coaching and much more to prepare the model for work in one of the largest agencies. Here one makes it on the big magazines and partly also on the covers, wow, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, to name only a few names. If you have so many visitors to the house, there is a good chance that you will meet with rejection, also due to small details. Perhaps the hip is 1 cm too wide or on the shoulder. Maybe there’s already someone of that guy in New York, Milan or Paris.
But sometimes, you manage to get a head scout out of the role in such a way that he can only rave. Amazing. Fantastic. The next Cara Delevingne! Luisa is extremely motivated and makes great efforts, has the perfect conditions not only in moderation and figure but also in personality. We are extremely pleased to represent her as a parent agency and to take the step into a modeling career with her. In Berlin we produced two videos directly, with her in portrait, alone and focused and with her model colleague Hannah, of whom we recently reported about her new video. Here is Luisa I Fashion Video from Berlin! If you want to see more of yourself, look in Luisa’s model portfolio now.
If you don’t want to miss any video of Luisa and also no video of our other models and men’s models, then check out our Youtube channel now and follow our model agency on YouTube!
If you want to become a model and want to stand on the catwalk or in a professional photo set yourself, then you can apply now in our model agency as a model in Berlin! We place first-class jobs and renowned customers of our network, we help with your construction with recommendations of a model agency, from your model book up to test shootings with good photographers in addition, with Coachings about personality, acting and of course also fashion shows and running styles around Haute Couture and Pret-a-Porter. Our photographers and our booking team will give you a professional insight into our model agency from the very first minute.
With us you can create models for online shops and well-known customers, there you show new collection pieces for the online shop but also for social networks like Instagram or Youtube. The better you get, the more complex and demanding the jobs become. E.g. videos for YouTube or even entire commercials, e.g. for streaming portals and for television. Read more about becoming a model here. When you finish school, you will have the chance to work abroad, in the big fashion cities, from Shanghai, Shenzhen to Los Angeles and New York.
New Faces are special or she is something very special! Her look, her look, her charisma, her positive way and her effect on people, in real life, at castings or at photo shootings. Eugenia already knows a lot to tell and implement in her early years. Therefore we are very happy to support you as a model agency and management, not on short-term goals but on sustainable success in Germany and internationally!
You can always find new photos of Eugenia in her model portfolio and today this new, chic video is added as a candy. Our agency Videograph Robin Platte went to a lot of trouble in Berlin and met Eugenia for this small, strong visual enhancement of her book!
Why are videos so important for videographers and customers?
Many agencies still rely on pure image material, and many jobs are no longer just about photos. Small video sequences are made for Instagram, more elaborate sequences for YouTube and of course even more elaborate for TV, streaming portals or cinema advertising. For many casting agencies it is therefore important to get a moving image of the model. How are the looks? Twists? Movements?
Today came Eugenia’s new video on our YouTube Channel! If you don’t want to miss a video of her but also of our other models and also of our male models, then follow us on YouTube!
Here is Eugenia’s new video! You can find more of it in Eugenias Modelbook.
The new video of our New Face Model Zoe! She has an absolutely strong expression in her face, performs first-class in front of the camera and is not only great for photo shoots, e.g. for online shops or lookbooks, but also in front of the video camera Zoe is an absolute eye-catcher. With her new and second video Zoe shows how strong she can perform in front of the camera. Their look is international. She herself comes from southwest Germany and visited us for this photo shoot in Berlin. As a model agency we also organized our big model agency casting parallel to Fashion Week. Before the casting we went to the video shooting with our Zoe. span>
If Michelle doesn’t conquer the catwalks of the world, I don’t know! Today we’re introducing our new New Face, Michelle! Met at our last modelcasting, we were immediately enchanted by Michelle. Especially her long hair, which gave us an absolute “Victoria’s Secret Moment” while running, immediately confirmed our opinion that Michelle has to model! Whether in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg or Munich, as long as our New Face is not yet abroad, we will make every effort to push her as far as possible so that she is perfectly prepared for modeling abroad – parallel to school.
With her measurements, but also with her positive nature and her unique charisma, Michelle is becoming a professional day by day. Today we have something very special, her first fashion video for her model portfolio. Videos are important, especially to give customers an impression of how the model moves, but their facial expressions are also their way and effect on people. Whether for Instagram, YouTube, TV, streaming portals like Netflix or cinema, in so many areas it is important that models deliver perfect video formats.
Michelle also has special qualities for the catwalk. Fashion shows, just like made for them. That’s why we’re all the more looking forward to the coming months and years together. If you want to see the first photos of Michelle, you can find them in Michelle’s model folder!
If you don’t want to miss a video of her but also of our other models, then follow our model agency on YouTube!
Our highlights from July 2018 with video shootings from Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf and Munich! Our whole team was on the road all over Germany to equip our New Faces but also our professional models with new photos and video material. Meanwhile we produce in a good month, alone as an agency, without jobs from the customer, over ten videos, which you find by the way also always completely up-to-date on our model agency YouTube channel! That’s why from this month on we’ve decided to pack all our highlights in a great video so that you can see right away what was going on this month. If you are more interested in one of our models, e.g. to book it for a photo shoot or also for e-commerce, lookbook or a commercial, you can have a closer look at all photos and videos in the model’s portfolio. Let’s start with our first highlight episode, July 2018, from Berlin to Munich!
While Angelina Kirsch is looking for her new Curvy supermodel on RTL2, we’ve already found ours! Wonderful Camille. She’s a real gold piece, or even better, a diamond! Because how often do you as a model agency have the luck to find a young model who is not only super committed and motivated, but who also has the perfect conditions as a curvy model. With her size of 42 she has great dimensions to work for fashion but also generally in advertising.
We have received a lot of questions in the last weeks, also now again about the TV show, mostly:
people for TV shows are of course cast much differently than models for an international agency. In TV and television, the focus is on people who go out of their way, polarize and ideally offer viewers an entertaining evening every week. In a real model agency, however, you are not booked to tell exciting and personal stories or to get more reach through disputes. Model agencies are all about professional posing so that pictures can be taken quickly and the team can continue with the next outfit. No one needs to stage themselves or tell private stories, here it’s all about your skills! Basically, TV casting shows and model agency castings differ in that people are selected for television who stand out due to strong emotions or a lot of speech. The requirements in a modeling agency, on the other hand, focus on your talent and skills as a model.
In principle it is important for you as a model that if you want to work professionally as a plus size or curvy model, you are looking for a management that does not plan with you for a show series but 4 years. So that you can develop step by step, your model portfolio gets better and better, you can gain real experience through real jobs and thus become better and more self-confident. With fixed contact persons and also confidence in you, if it does not run so well at the beginning.
As you just saw, the requirements for TV castings and real castings in a model agency differ. There are also ideal sizes for Plus Size Models. As a Plus Size Model you should have at least a clothing size of 42, even better 44 or 46 for female models. Let’s take a look at the details of the requirements for Curvy Models
The market for female Plus Size Models is much larger than that for male models. That is the first criterion. Why is that so? Of course, women are much more fashion-oriented on average. Since more women are interested in fashion and also consume it, female models in particular are booked for photo shoots and advertising films.
As a Curvy Model you need the size described above which ideally is 44. But you can also work with a 42 or 46 as a plaster model. If the customer wants to book a Class Plus Size Model, it is especially because he is looking for women with curves for production. This means it is an advantage to have real curves, not just a little bit of baby fat. Did you know the average woman has a size of 44! These women are therefore looking for people in magazines, advertising or online shops with whom they can identify well.
Unlike a high fashion model, the height of a Plus Size model is less important. What is the reason for this? As a high fashion model you also work in many showrooms and for fashion shows. The grid is very narrow here, since the competition is very large. Women must also always match the male models, with high heels. At the end of a fashion show, a uniform line is to be created when one considers over the heads of the models. This ensures harmony in the show and more focus on fashion. Curvy Models are currently booked mainly for photo shoots and commercials. This makes it possible to become a Curvy model even without a body height of 176 cm, due to the lower competition. As a Curvy model you can also work with 174cm, if the other total package is right.
If you are completely satisfied with your curves and like to show yourself, like fashion and trends, then consider applying as a model! The market is relatively new and the competition is not so big, take your chance!
You can easily measure your own measurements and size yourself here: Model Dimensions: Requirements and size
As with any model, you need self-confidence! You must like your body, your curves, yourself! Because as a model you are not only in front of the cameras, but you are also often enough a role model for young people but also for older people. In campaigns, you stand for a healthy lifestyle or a fulfilled life, for example. Whether it’s for Instagram and we’re talking about fashion or insurance and you’re happy driving a sports car on the beach. Emotions have to be honest and authentic. In order to master this, one must know one’s body exactly, one’s own abilities but also one’s own facial expressions must be constantly controlled. With each individual photo, click, click, click must be both the posing sitting as well as your facial features and emotions. To combine all this on one point and to deliver professionally, focused in a shooting date, is really a high art. The A&O for Plus Size Models but also for models with sizes 32, 34 or 36 is your own body feeling and that you are happy and satisfied with yourself.
When you go on castings or jobs, clients expect absolute professionalism from you in a job. Professionalism as a model contains many different aspects. This includes, for example, preparation for a job. You have to go to bed early enough, maybe even plan your trip or have just arrived from the airport and are at Hotel Check Iin. No party, no sightseeing, you prepare yourself for the next day and your job, so that you appear with absolutely fresh skin, a smile on your lips and no circles around your eyes on the set and during styling. Again, you have to prove that you should ideally be at the location 15 minutes in advance, you can drink a little water or write a few messages to your friend. It is important that the production can always count on you, just like your model agency to push and advance you even more with the customer.
Yes, as a Curvy and Plus Size Model you have to be able to do quite a lot and they demand a lot from you, but you can see a lot of the world! Shootings, nice people and people, creative arts directors, photographers, videographers, other models, designers or even employees from marketing and models who become friends. As a model you can expect an exciting life, if you are very committed, diligent and also a little bit lucky with the customers. Because there will always be competition! That’s why you have to work hard and not assume that you can automatically live from modeling. This requires a lot of effort and also some investment, e.g. in your model portfolio.
If you liked all this and now you want to become a model or know a good friend who should definitely become a Curvy model, then we would be very happy about the application! With our model agency we not only work in Berlin and Cologne, our models work internationally and also in cities like Milan, Tokyo or Los Angeles. We are very happy about new talents and your trust in our model management. For a common future and a secure and reliable agency with a worldwide network for your development.

Already in her first weeks Arina was at the London Fashion Week! With a total of 5 jobs she had a great start in her career there. Modeling in London is a real challenge! Because in London there is a lot of competition for castings. In Berlin, where you may be with 10 or 15 other models, 80 to 100 models come to a designer casting in London, especially for Fashion Week. The castings are not even public! Only the good model agencies get the casting dates and addresses for the fashion shows in London. Our Arina made it with our partner agency Body London directly on 5 shows. We are very proud of our little one! Arina is an absolute new discovery and we hope that you will soon see her on Instagram channels of your favourite fashion brands or in the online shop with new fashion collections.
