Bermuda: virtual model with scandals and music career

Blonde, perfect figure, beautiful face. Is she real? This is the question many ask, but the blonde model is not real. One of the most famous and scandalous virtual influencers is Bermuda. She became successful through her scandals and former negative nature. The It-girl has a budding music and modelling career. Are digital influencers the replacement for Naomi Campbell or Bella Hadid? Who is Bermuda, and what triggered it?

Bermuda, is a controversial blonde virtual model from LA since 2016, who is known for stirring up the digital world of social media. The virtual model is very politically related and was a Trump supporter, her views have since changed. She also did not believe in climate change. She brought other scandalous actions that helped gain more followers. April 2018, Bermuda hacked Miquela’s Instagram account. In the process, she deleted many photos and posted computer-generated avatars, including her photos. She wrote in the description:

“Hi guys! This is Bermuda. Sooooo… You have been lied to by a fake person. Who literally buys that for a second? Apparently a lot of you. …Sorry, Miquela. I tried texting you, I tried calling, but you keep ignoring me. You brought this on yourself, girl ?. Leave me a comment if you care about the truth, k? ? Follow me @bermudaisbae.”

However, this brought Miquela to 1 million followers on Instagram, and was a milestone that opened a lot of doors in the influencer world, including lucrative brand deals with celebrity designers. Miquela didn’t let herself get down and kept trying to prove to people that she was a real person. And that’s exactly what Bermuda didn’t like. She posted pictures on her own Instagram account and continued to threaten Miquela. The two have since reconciled and are now very good friends.

Was she really hacked?

No, the whole story was a marketing strategy by its creators to help gain more followers and attention.

What does Bermuda do for a living?

Bermuda is now a well-known influencer and has advertised for Chanel, Balenciaga, Tesla, Adam Selman and Starbucks on her Instagram. She has also released her own music, which has garnered 378,735 views on YouTube. On Instagram, Bermuda now has 288,000 followers and gets around 20-40 thousand likes per picture.

Love between virtual influencers?

Bermuda and Blawko22 used to be a couple. However, the relationship ended. They met through Instagram. Blawko discovered her through the argument between her and Miquela. When Bermuda changed companies, where Blawko and Miquela were, they met. Bermuda got a better look and her personality changed. The two met more often and then became a couple. However, the two had different characters. Blawko was always very positive and always wanted the best, whereas Bermuda was very negative. They parted ways because Bermuda wanted to change Blawko and he didn’t like it. However, the three virtual characters are friends despite this. Just like Blawko22 and LilMiquela, Bermuda is the project of Brud, founded by Trevor McFredries and Sara DeCou. The Three Virtual Models are represented by PR firm Huxley and have been backed by Spark Capital, Sequoia Capital, M Ventures, BoxGroup, Chris Williams, Founders Fund and WME.

Lil Miquela : one of the biggest virtual model

The Brazilian-American model, music artist and influencer has so far turned the world upside down with her almost 3 million. At first glance, you might think she’s a living person. She wears real clothes like Supreme and luxury brands like Chanel. Her inventors Trevor McFredries and Sara DeCou created together with Brud, a technology start up in Los Angeles. Now she works with models like Bella Hadid and gets big cooperation contracts. The models have their own lives, in addition to individual personalities, in which they report on their leisure activities with the help of story telling.

Virtual look with real character

Sweet look and perfectly styled every day, that’s what her followers love about Miquela. Best of all, she can change how she wants and not age! While the modelling career of Heidi Klum or Kate Moos is already over, her career is just beginning. Just like the careers of virtual models Ella Stoller and Zoe Dvir.  However, the trend of these virtual stars has long since gone beyond Instagram; a modelling career is also already predicted for them. In 2016, her Instagram account went online. Just a couple of years later and almost over 1000 posts later, almost 3 million people follow her. Miquela is a virtual megastar. She shows there her best sides, her strikingly different style and her everyday life with her friends, like with Bermuda or Blawko22, who are also virtual avatars. She is also totally popular among the stars. She posts pictures with Saweetie , who became famous for her single “My Type”, as they hang out together and sit in a cafe.  She’s giving the real influencers a run for their money. However, she embodies exactly what the young generation is looking for. Perfection.

Miquela’s Instagram beef with Bermuda

In 2016, the pretty influencer first appeared on various social media channels. However, the creators of the avatar kept it a secret at the beginning that Lil Miquela and was an artificial person. The success began when another virtual avatar Bermuda started an argument between the two.  In the process, Bermuda hacked into Miquela’s Instagram and spread to the whole world that the influencer is not real. In the process, she deleted many photos and posted computer-generated avatars, including her own photos. Not only was there a dispute between two virtual characters, but also between two companies. After the dispute between Bermunda and Miquela, she admits to being a virtual creature.

Was she really hacked?

No, the whole story was a marketing strategy by the creators to help gain more followers and attention. Influencers are gaining importance in marketing. An individual character sells products better than advertising on TV, because many people trust the character. Her confession went through the social media. – And with it, her reach grew.

Music career: pop songs, dances and covers

Meanwhile, Lil Miquela has released many music videos and averages more than 4 million clicks per video. Lil Miquela’s music is in the pop and house genres and has already gained many followers. In 2017, the avatar released her first single Not Mine. This was followed by other songs such as Hate Me, Speak Up and Money. The songs are very well received by her followers and gets positive feedback. The avatar can be seen in every video, she is always dancing, interacting with the camera and having fun with her friends.

Who’s Jeremy?

Jeremy Fragrance was born on 05.02.1989, 1.90m tall, blue eyes, trained and single. Originally he worked as a model for Cocaine Models. Then 4 years ago came the spontaneous idea – why not make a Youtube channel and give men tips about styling and perfume? That’s how it all started, nobody could have guessed that his channel would catapult up so fast. Today he travels around the world in a tailor-made designer suit, this year alone he has already been to New York 5 times. He also had a Ferrari in between and lives the life thousands of young people dream of. He regularly uploads new videos to his channel, where he tests different fragrances or asks other people for their unbiased opinions about fragrances, mostly women are asked about men’s perfumes – what they think about it and whether they would like to smell it on a man.

Jeremy’s morning routine

You don’t become a perfume professional overnight, you have to train your sense of smell. In his office in Hangelar (North Rhine-Westphalia), he believes that his long shelf contains the 100 best perfumes in the world. On another sideboard next to the impressive perfume collection are the 55 most important fragrance oils. Time for his morning routine – each bottle is gradually opened and smelled. As soon as a mistake is made in the assignment, ten push-ups are made and it starts all over again. Only in this way can he guarantee that he can always give his viewers the best tips – says Jeremy.

The Successes of Jeremy Fragrance

With 500,000 followers on Youtube, which are constantly increasing, he is considered the largest perfume influencer in the industry and that worldwide. So it’s hard to say exactly what his successes are, because his whole career seems like one big success. Still, there are a few moments that stand out. Only this year he won the Consumer Choice Award of the Fragrance Foundation and flew to New York, where he was awarded the prize for his Vlog “5 Reasons to wear Fragrances”. His video “Top 10 Most Complimented Best Mens Fragrances of all Time” has an incredible 2.8 million views and is the most watched video on his channel. His demands on his own fragrance are very high, it only comes out when he thinks it is the best fragrance in the world. That sounds like a pretty high goal, but for someone who only ever gives 100% like Jeremy achievable – we are excited!

What does Jeremy Fragrance do in his spare time?

Jeremy doesn’t really need time to “switch off”, as his job as a perfume influencer is far too much fun for him. It’s a full-time job and hobby. For fun he never goes out to eat or play billiards, in the evening he rather deals with comments under his videos, which he reads himself, which takes a lot of time. Almost every day Jeremy goes to the gym, he attaches great importance to living a healthy life. Complete renunciation of alcohol, smoking and only Matscha tea and healthy food. That requires a lot of discipline, but Mr Fragrance has it.

We accompanied Jeremy during the shooting of his latest Youtube video and had a look behind the scenes. It was very interesting and surprising how such a successful Youtuber makes his videos – completely spontaneous. Camera set down, light briefly adjusted and “start” pressed. A totally relaxed one was finished after 2 minutes – you would think there is an incredible amount of preparation every time, but that’s not how it is. Just a lot of experience. After that follows the turning off of the content, also that is fast turned off and already he has a video. Of course it still has to be cut, but that’s no problem for a professional like Jeremy. Of course the question arises – don’t you run out of ideas when you talk so much about perfume? Jeremy’s answer to that is a clear no. When you’re behind a topic like him, you always have something to say.

What makes Jeremy Fragrance?

Why is he so successful? That’s a question you don’t have to ask yourself once you’ve seen a video of the influencer. Charming, funny and authentic – that’s Jeremy. If he is more than 01:59min late, he does 20 push-ups, that must be and requires a lot of discipline. However, this is invited without exception, even if it happens at a prize-giving ceremony in New York in front of running cameras. It’s also important to know that Jeremy never gets paid for his opinion by perfume manufacturers, that’s something he really values. He wants to give an unbiased, honest opinion about scents to his viewers and that’s exactly what he does. Lena is sugar! Lena is one of our young bloggers, influencer… just a great person! We met Lena through a good friend who was in our agency in the summer. She spoke of Lena and TikTok. When you saw her first contribution, we were directly enchanted and had to get in touch with the young woman from Cologne. Lena manages to inspire people spontaneously with her sugar-sweet manner and her smile. Her open and absolutely uncomplicated manner makes her an absolute popular figure, whom we as management would like to support with incredible pleasure. Lena is not only cheeky and perfect for social media, her first job was e.g. for Deichmann, Lena is also super strong for all forms of advertising. Toothpaste smile! Rick Genest x Zombie Boy: Rebel, Discovery, Super Model

A few hours ago Rick Genist was found dead, at the age of 32 years leaving a woman and his children. Although we usually write about jobs and castings, today we wanted to make an obituary for one of the greatest people in the world! Strong, independent and just a nice guy.

We were allowed to meet Rick with our fashion magazine a few months before his sudden death today in Montreal (Canada) for Interview. Even before that he was a very special person who encouraged us to believe in us and our idea. Various international media have taken up our news, as well as the daily El Pais from Spain has taken up our interview once again. It’s a sad message, because he was one of the most inspiring people. Whether commercials with L’Oreal, which we also show you right away or the music video with Lady Gaga. We are very grateful that we once had the opportunity to ask Rick Genest our questions and get personal answers, but also for another opportunity for our models to work with him.

Rick Genest – Life, Inspiration, Super Model

Rick Gin is an inspiring personality for us, raised in Canada, he rebelled early on, and was later even a squatter. He got his first tattoo at the age of 16, at the age of 19 he decided to tattoo himself completely to and “undead people” with tattoo templates, which he combined little by little and could create something completely new from it.

After his discovery, he worked for the biggest international brands. In the end, as young as he was at the age of 32, he had not only worked for the entire high fashion industry but also made international commercials, including for American DIY stores such as Home Depot.

So he had arrived in the midst of society. Everybody liked him, everybody accepts them. He had a wife, he had children, yet he chose it. What else could he have experienced? Flower Power – Johanna V. for the British brand Flavr!

Johanna V. is one of our experienced models, who was already able to do some great jobs! There are always exciting brands here <! – more ->. The last time it was for the British brand Flavr, which turned every phone into a beautiful accessory. Nowadays, you can hardly leave the house without having your smartphone with you. Of course the protection should not be missing. But Flavr is also known for his great flower prints on their cases – that brings the spring back! Johanna V. herself was enthusiastic about the many colorful mobile phone covers. What a great prerequisite for a shoot!

The hours before the job: Preparing for the shoot with Flavr

Shooting is not the same shoot, because almost no job is like the other. Some are more elaborate, with a large set, extra make-up artists, stylists and photographic assistants. The others are smaller, where you do not need an extra set and the model can make itself ready. What exactly does that mean? The focus of such shootings is more on presenting the products in everyday life and leaving the models as natural as possible. Johanna V. had a requirement how she should get to the job. It was said she needed a subtle make-up and freshly washed hair. In addition a few own outfits to change, so that a little variety in the pictures comes. What was particularly important for the shoot, were her fingernails, as they would of course be in focus with the phone cases. Well-groomed hands for such a job are the nuts and bolts!

As a model in social networks, one should always consider a few basic elements of social media management. Especially (mostly) young models polarize. You’ll soon become a person of public life. So think before creating your model fan page on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. To make the first step into social networks and platforms easier, here are 6 tips from Social Media Manager Hanna.

Facebook & Co. is not only for fans and private individuals – professional photographers, model agencies and scouts are also on the road here. They also use Facebook and Instagram as a platform – also to scout new models! In New York we met an exciting article by Cris Cardona – she also swears by social media. Social media is not only a good tool for your own PR as a model, it is a real must have. It is important for you to be a “social model” by 2015.

Many models even became famous through social media like Tatiana Marinescu. Want your own Facebook fanpage? Then here are 8 helpful tips to make your Facebook look really good!

1. Description of your Facebook profile

The description you have on your fanpage is very important! Remember the introduction. From professional photographers to model agencies and casting agents, almost all people are active users of social media platforms themselves. And you, you’ll definitely read the info, too. The following should be in your fanpage description:

  • Bookable requirements: www.cocainemodels.de/booking

  • Website or portfolio page
  • Current photos, possibly including links
  • Social Media Links
  • Information about you

You’re new and don’t know what to write? No problem. A short description of your agency is also sufficient at the beginning – usually you get text on the agency page.

2. Facebook cover picture: profile pictures work

When people get on your fan pages, the cover is always the first thing they see. Even before they see your profile picture or even the content of the page. Therefore it is important to have a cover picture that is’cool’ and’catchy’. You should be in the picture yourself! This is important. Also make sure to change the cover picture on Facebook at least once a week. 3. How do I post? When is the best time to post?

5. What and when should I post?
