Balmain revolutionizes thanks to avant-garde fashion

Balmain was founded in 1945 by Pierre Balmain. From the outset, Monsieur Balmain’s boldly feminine and opulent style offered a startling contrast to the utilitarian looks of the day, creating a distinctive, super-feminine DNA for the house that emphasized richly embroidered fabrics, nipped-in waists and longer, often fuller skirts – quickly transforming the Parisian house into a favorite of both European and Hollywood royalty.

Collaborations with Superstar Cast

Balmain is diverse. This also applies to their collaborations. Whether it’s haute couture for the small purse, exquisite make-up for the emancipated woman or luxurious sports fashion: there’s something for everyone. You can also see the brand’s most famous mannequins here.

The video, directed by Philippa Price, and the images shot by Brianna Capozzi, feature a wonderfully diverse group of people from all over the world and from a wide range of backgrounds – art, sport, music, dance, science and literature – who all have an inspiring story to tell.

Expressive image film for the Balmain army of tomorrow

“I was thrilled to learn that Jake and Ludwig shared my fascination with these small but powerful daily beats, and I was excited to see how they were able to play with the potential of these sounds to create this unique music video for Balmain’s Fall 2018 campaign. Each of them has the passion, boldness, talent and confidence that make them perfect representatives of today’s modern and inclusive Balmain army,” Olivier Rousteing let slip. See how that comes across in the promotional clip here.

Robust & trendy at the same time: the Balmain sneakers

Get ready, the new Balmain sneakers are hitting the stores! Innovative & avant-garde jewellery

Balmain is pleased to announce the rebirth of the accessories collection from the historic Parisian house. When creative director Olivier Rousteing and his team developed the new lines, they drew on three distinct sources of inspiration: the house’s unique history, the Balmain atelier’s continued mastery of traditional couture techniques, and the instantly recognizable style Rousteing has established for the house over the past five years. The result is a coherent, modern offering that relies on only the best materials, craftsmen and design – in short, a true Balmain collection.

Chanel – Top commercials, emotional image films & Behind The Scenes

Chanel – a brand with a moving story that revolutionized the world of fashion and mannequins. Today, it’s hard to imagine the fashion giant without it. So there are now not only clothes, sparkling accessories and makeup from the luxury brand, but also perfumes. Especially Chanel No. 5 belongs in the bathroom cabinet of every fashion icon, or those who want to become one. Which commercials and image films there are from the luxury label and what’ crass storylines the creative minds always come up with, you can see here.

Coco Chanel, her fashion empire & the little black dress

While the luxury brand enjoys international success today largely thanks to ageless couturier Karl Lagerfeld, it looks back on more of a humble birth. Before today’s top models like Cara Delivigne and Kendall Jenner walked the runways of the world in the latest collections of the label, the founder Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel had to struggle with a lack of enthusiasm at the beginning of her career. While women’s fashion in the 1910s consisted of stiff pencil skirts and uncomfortable corsets, Coco Chanel, who came from a poor background, proposed an emancipated and functionally oriented fashion collection for women. Thus, her first collection did not consist of pretty but far too tight bodice dresses and skirts, but of airy blouses, wide-cut trousers and the now popular ‘little black dress’.

On her way to the platform, hoping to catch the train after all, she is constantly jostled. In contrast, there are other women who are much more relaxed and who get their train.
