Burberry Flashback: Shows from the 2000s to today

Burberry – Trench Coats or beige scarves with check pattern, Burberry has made a name for itself around the world and established a recognizable and not to be confused trademark for itself. Today, we know the brand as a renowned high-end fashion label whose runway shows are not to be missed at any fashion week. But how have runway presentations and collections of the brand changed over the years? We show you the collections from the 2000s to the last show at the digital Fashion Week 2021.

Brand Development & Collections Burberrys

The history of the brand goes back to the 1850s. Today we know Burberry as one of the most established and successful fashion labels in the fashion industry, but only since the beginning of the 2000s Burberry could successfully re-establish itself as the luxury label we know today after a long deep through a brand relaunch. With designer Christopher Bailey, who was responsible for the Burberry designs from 2001 onwards and was awarded Designer of the Year twice during his time, Burberry managed to make a name for itself as a high-end fashion brand again.

  • Learn more about the story behind Burberry here.

Burberry in the 2000s

In 2001, British fashion designer Christopher Bailey took over as the new head designer for Burberry and was responsible for the following collections. In the years of the 2000s, the fashion shows were still much more manageable and with smaller audiences. The catwalks were kept rather simple, but the fashion was still chic.

Dark tones & simple design: Fall/Winter 2002/03 Milan

Burberry’s collection for autumn/winter 2002/03 was presented at Milan Fashion Week. The fashion is characterized by dark tones and the designs are still a little more restrained.

Fresh style & bright tones: Spring/Summer 2003 London

At Fashion Week in London the runway is already a bit wider and brighter – the spring/summer collection for 2003 also gets a bit more colour and feels fresher.

Elegant & Chic: Spring/Summer 2007 Milan

2007 Burberry presents its spring/summer collection for 2007 to a wider audience at Milan Fashion Week. The hall is filled and everyone is excited about the new designs – they are clearly more exciting than in the early 2000s.

Burberry shows of the 2010s

Big runway shows and great collections – in the 2010s the halls of Burberry shows were full. Models like Cara Delevingne walk for the fashion label. In 2018, the last fashion show under the direction of long-time creative director Christopher Bailey took place, it goes down as one of the biggest and most memorable shows in Burberry’s history.

Corsets & Capes: Spring/Summer 2013 London

The collection for spring/summer 2013 was presented at London Fashion Week 2012 in a large, light-flooded hall under a glass dome. The motto was “Corsets and Capes”, with colourful, transparent bags adorning the models as accessories, who walked down the catwalk in bright capes and corsets.

Rainbow Collection & Light Show: Fall/Winter 2018/19 London

This Burberry show at London Fashion Week 2018 goes down as one of the biggest and most successful in the label’s history. It is the last one of head designer Christopher Bailey and he dedicated this last collection to the LGBTQ+ community. His outfits feature colors of the rainbow and at the end, spotlights create beautiful lighting effects and a construct of rainbow colors in front of a large audience in a huge hall.

Burberry today: Digital Fashion Weeks & Creative Runways

As Bailey’s successor, designer Riccardo Tisci stepped into the position as Burberry’s new creative director. Additionally, with the Corona Pandemic 2020 started, other changes in the fashion world went along with it. Fashion Weeks can no longer be held in front of an audience and designers have to become even more creative with their fashion.

Runway in the forest: Spring/Summer 2021 London Digital Show

Unusual collections and an unusual video presentation: at the digital Fashion Week in London, the spring/summer fashion for 2021 is presented in an interesting setting. The setting is nature in a forest, here models walk between the trees in beautiful and experimental outfits. Looking back at the shows and collections of the early 2000s, there is no comparison.

Burberry Videos & Campaigns

In the course of time Burberry brought out cool spots or campaigns again and again and inspired stars like Rihanna or Kate Moss. Models like Cara Delevingne walked the runway several times for the label and some Fashion Week shows inspired with live music and cool technology.

Model agency advertising: charisma and production

Model agency advertising – If you are looking for the right model agency for advertising, you have come to the right place! With renowned customer projects from Germany, Great Britain, the United States of America but also Italy or Japan, we are a reliable partner for all our customers. Not only do we make sure that the perfect model is found at the casting, we also take care of the handling of usage rights as well as travel planning and management. This means that clients always have the best and easiest access to strong models for advertising. No matter if it is the small image brochure for the B2B trade or the TV commercial, with broadcast in many countries or even worldwide in different formats, print posters on large city lights or even larger on billboard posters. With our model agency you have the perfect contact person!

Advertising and friendly charisma

Whether it is a photo shoot with a single model or a complex production with various protagonists but also extras who come to the set. Especially friendliness and a general charisma are very important when it comes to the photo shoot production. That is why it is so important for clients in the casting process not only to get to see different models, but also to know exactly the different and especially individual skills and knowledge. Because productions for advertising are not just about individuals. The sets quickly become more complicated. An example is family shoots where the couple in love, the child, the dog as well as the product have to harmonize at the perfect moment. Every time a person doesn’t fit the overall picture, for example because they wink at that moment, the photo can’t be used. That’s why it’s so important to have models with experience!

Timing of productions

Not only the appearance on the set is very important, also the punctuality and the preparation for the advertising production. After all, it is no longer just about photo shoots but often also about learning texts or roles. As a model you are no longer just “a beautiful person” but you also have to bring acting skills with you.

Model booking for advertising

With us you will find the perfect model for your new advertising production. Contact our team now and we will help you with casting, placement, calculation of usage rights but also with travel management if you wish. We are looking forward to your project request!

Model agency interview: outfit, casting & questions

We have received many questions, especially about the topic, do I have to prepare for an interview in a modeling agency? Whether yes or no, how does such an interview generally proceed? Here we want to give you a brief insight into how your interview at a modeling agency will go.

Preparation for the interview outfit and participants

Many have already had interviews, for example for small jobs or even job offers. The preparation for an interview in a model agency is not as demanding as it is for a normal job. You don’t have to prepare any documents, you don’t need a resume or anything like that. All you need is the right outfit and of course to show up on time.

Since you don’t have to prepare any documents, you can fully focus on your casting outfit.

Whether young men or young women, the casting outfit is relatively similar for both. The absolute basis are always discreet outfits. After all, today is not about winning the prize for the Outfit of the Day, it’s about you, your facial expressions, your personality. Accordingly, you should go for plain black trousers, a simple black or white shirt, for women a top. The shoes should be just like shirt and pants discreet and not distract from you.

Women have to pay attention to two special features, instead of sporty shoes you should always wear high heels. In addition, you should also have a bikini with you, so that your figure can be seen if necessary. In short, you need the following:

  • Plain clothes
  • Black pants
  • Black or white shirt or for ladies tops
  • Plain shoes, for women additionally high heels
  • Women additionally with bikini
  • If you have photos, bring them on your phone or tablet

If you have already gained experience as a model, e.g. during your first photo shoots with photographers, you can of course bring your first photo series with you, or a selection of your best photos. Unlike in the past, you no longer need printed photos in a model folder, it is sufficient if you take your photos with you on your tablet or mobile phone.

Many people visit a big city for the first time during their first interview at a modeling agency. So that nothing can go wrong, you should still write down the following data in your mobile phone, so that you have everything important with you in any case:

  • Exact address of the model agency
  • Telephone number of the model agency
  • If possible, phone number of your contact person

Here is another tip from us as management! If possible, don’t be there 5 minutes before the appointment, but don’t be in the office 30 minutes before either. Ideally you should always be on time, that means two or three minutes before the job or your first casting starts. But it is important that you are already there beforehand. Ideally at least half an hour before, the rest of the time you can spend with a coffee or a delicious smoothie in a café.

Punctuality and a smile

Punctuality is very important, as already mentioned, you should always be on time. So don’t be there an hour early, but also not 10 minutes. 2 or 3 minutes before the casting starts, you should be there!

Therefore, plan your journey carefully in advance so that nothing can go wrong. Because if the appointment goes well, this is your ticket to life as a model in a large and reputable agency.

Here’s a little tip from our management! Always enter the agency, the office or the room with a smile. Smiling is often already half the battle, because as a model it is very often about advertising, that is sales and emotions. In addition, sympathy always plays a role in every job interview. You should use this for you, not only at the first casting in your model agency, also when you are later at castings in front of customers, for fashion shows, commercials or online shops.

Interview and contents

The actual interview usually lasts between 20 minutes and an hour. Depending on how far you are already, that is, whether you are still a student and have 2 years of school ahead of you, or whether you are already ready to travel, so that you could also work in the big cities like London, New York but also Hong Kong.

In the interview, it is for the agency or the model agency first of all to find out whether you are really 100% behind what you want to do. Because if the model agency later sends you to big and international clients, it can not depend on luck! That’s why you don’t start as a model with the big campaigns, but with small jobs.

Many have the dream of modeling, cover shoot for Vogue, Elle or Harpers Bazaar. But they forget that it is a long way. All the supermodels in the world have worked for years to make their breakthrough at some point. That’s why as a model you have to be patient for yourself and your career.

Of course, mum and dad will also be there when it comes to the first interview, for example if you are only 15, 16 or 17 years old. Because your parents will always be a big part of your life, they will also be intensively involved in the planning from the beginning.

These topics and much more will be discussed during the first interview at your modeling agency.

Admission to the model agency and waiting time

The decision whether you will be accepted in the model agency or not, you usually do not get in the interview. Mostly, a few Polaroids are made of you, which are quick photos with the mobile phone or with the camera. In addition, one or the other walk video is made, in which you show what you could present at a fashion show. Subsequently, the respective model agency discusses in the team. This often happens not on the same evening but perhaps at the end of the week.

Another first reality check! Because even if you later go to the big client casting or are proposed for jobs, you often have to wait for the decision. If 20 models are invited to a casting and there is only one job, you will also often have to deal with rejections. Don’t hang your head! Nobody becomes a star overnight.

Marketing internship: online marketing, advertising and fashion in Cologne

Many people want to move something and be creative in their work. Project management and content marketing are only 2 of the topics that cause a lot of curiosity in marketing when you think of a media agency. Writing articles about fashion, influencers or camping, producing real content for real companies and becoming a part of something bigger. The perfect interplay of creativity and business makes an agency like this something very special. If you are interested in social media and the topics of this time, you should think about a career in an advertising agency and an internship is the perfect start into the real working life.

Internship: advertising agency, marketing and fashion in Cologne

You can imagine a lot under an internship in an advertising agency. You could probably talk for a week about which areas of responsibility you will be taking on and which skills you will be given. In this article I will show you how varied and interesting the everyday life in a marketing agency is. From the people you meet, to the skills you acquire and the unique moments that this job offers.

My biggest Learnings in Marketing

One thing is clear to me: my personal development during the internship was enormous. Not only did I get an incredible insight into a completely new world, but I also got a taste of the real and exciting professional life. Every day motivated me more and helped me to find new goals for myself as a person and professionally. At the beginning all this might sound a bit much, especially if you are looking for the first experience for your future and just coming out of school. But every day tasks and the necessary thinking for them became easier for me and as soon as you understand the priorities of the internship, nothing stands in your way. Of course it is scary at first to take on a responsible task in a big agency, but don’t worry! You will be taken by the right people and you will get a feeling for your tasks and the creative input. On the way you often notice that some things are harder for you than other team members and that you may have to work harder on certain challenges than others. But that is exactly what makes the job so exciting. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses and that’s how the dynamics in the group balance each other out.

  • Taking responsibility – growing by yourself
  • Teamwork – learning to rely on others and recognising your role in the team
  • Recognizing own strengths and weaknesses – making good use of strengths and working on the weaknesses

What’s it about? Internship in a marketing agency

Marketing has long been an important topic for many companies and is always and by everyone needed. Good marketing means good business and who wouldn’t want their business to be good? So there is always something to do and you get to know the most interesting people and companies. The most important thing is to get involved with new customers and to get the spirit of different companies, be it a grocery chain, a fashion company or a camping distribution company. You learn to dive into different worlds and to inspire people with different topics. Of course, sales should be the main focus, but it is exactly this motivation that is the reason why you have to tackle so many different projects in marketing. Because every customer is unique and needs different strategies to generate success and new customers. It is a process that takes several months, but in the end it is a proud moment for every single person in the team when you see that goals and profits have been achieved together and that you were able to make a customer happy.

  • Establish and maintain contacts – be open to new things and bring enthusiasm
  • Continuity – setting and pursuing goals
  • Reliability – taking responsibility and being there for customers

My internship: model agency, content marketing and fashion magazine

Last year I decided to start a comprehensive internship in a media agency and I can proudly say that it has brought me much further personally. The field of marketing is so diversified that no day is boring and you work on new projects all the time. The variety in the job is very important if you decide to do this job for a longer period of time and that’s why an internship is the perfect way to get an insight into all the tasks.

Consulting & project management

In this subject area of the internship you get a lot of responsibility. I’ve always grown with the tasks, because suddenly I’m the contact person for everyone involved. Everyone in the team gets their own area of expertise, of course precisely tailored to the strengths of the individual, you learn to form a real team and together as a group you learn to build something great. When a project is coming up, it means full concentration on this one topic! You have to go to different meetings and often go to other cities with your colleagues to visit customers. The variety that this topic brings with it is amazing, because you get to meet an incredible number of people and get an insight into the work of other positions and jobs and that can be very inspiring. No project is like the one before and the results make you proud every time.

  • A sense of responsibility is encouraged
  • Teamwork is perfected
  • Many new places and people through meetings & Co

Content marketing:

As soon as you dive into the world of content marketing, you dive into a whole new world. The feeling of being heard is just great and that’s exactly how it feels to write lyrics for a large audience. You put yourself in another world and just start writing. After each article it’s a little bit easier and you learn a lot about topics that you might have been familiar with before. You start researching on topics and become a real professional, who is then the contact person for the respective area. If you want to pursue a career in journalism, you have the chance to learn real skills in editing and writing. In addition, learning to write and rewrite in greater detail extremely promotes the eloquence of the individual. Language usage becomes much clearer and more direct and one can increasingly decide which topics and sub-topics have a certain relevance and which ones belong in the background. When talking to customers, this comes in handy, of course. Not only the know-how and the mass of context with which one can shine, but also the way of speaking and communicating itself is promoted to a large extent. Content marketing is so important because it ensures a top ranking in search engines and is therefore very relevant for customers to be found and generate attention. Content marketing is an indispensable part of a marketing agency and is enriching in many different ways for the client as well as for the trainee in his whole life.

  • Expression is improved
  • Language usage for customers or other partners is perfected
  • Context / background knowledge is considerably expanded
  • Top placement in search engines through content
  • You become a professional in a variety of subject areas and can link topics

Online marketing: search engine to social media

Online marketing is becoming more and more important for companies or businesses every year, because the internet does not stop growing and has been firmly integrated into society for a long time. It is no longer possible to imagine life without advertising your own products via social media or YouTube ads. Influencer marketing is also a subcategory of online marketing. In this area, too, one thing is very clear: it never gets boring and new ideas and innovation are needed. So if you are looking for creativity with a marketing twist, you are in the right place. It all starts with social media accounts. It is important to be present and above all it is important to generate attention and fans. As an agency we are responsible for helping clients to discuss, plan ahead and create content. If you want more attention, you can find partners to cooperate with, for example known influencers who are paid for product placement. Often real long term collaborations develop and together you can look back on a successful career. The agency is also there to help, because in our influencer pool there are many open and friendly personalities who are just as happy about a cooperation. The agency is also responsible for placing ads on Facebook or Youtube, for example. After content has been produced, advertisements are now being placed to make even more people aware of the brand.

  • Social Media Accounts – produce creative content and plan ahead
  • Placement of Ads – Social Media in connection with advertising
  • Organizing cooperation – influencers and product placements

Especially for us, as a media agency, language skills are very interesting, because we often talk to international clients and offer a wide range of languages in our online magazine. So if you can shine here, don’t hesitate to let us know.

What’s really important

Value is placed on many things and this every day anew. This starts with the structure of your application letter, the content, up to the grammar. Attention is paid to every detail. Your CV does not have to be super full yet, but should prove that you have ambitions to work in this agency and become a part of it. If it comes to a job interview, you have to convince yourself that you can handle the daily tasks of the company. You must be passionate about the job, not be the best from the beginning. So show your interest in working in the agency and that you have a certain enthusiasm for the projects and topics that are coming up.

  • Hard work and commitment
  • A good letter of application in terms of content and structure
  • Enthusiasm for the upcoming tasks in the agency

We look forward to your application:

My greatest learnings in marketing

Marketing is all about supporting customers in their strategic but also operative work in the media. All this with the big goal of reaching the right target group. Here I was able to gain my first insight. Planning, organizing but also being creative was a lot of fun.

The practical work is all about publishing! Creativity is required in all areas, whether it is the classic placement of advertisements, blog posts, posts by influencers or creative content for the social media account. There is no limit to your imagination and you can let your creativity run wild. Apart from that, it is also extremely important to work in a structured way and to be in constant communication with the client in order to coordinate my plans and ideas. This makes the exchange via e-mail, but also telephone calls or meetings particularly important.

  • Support for customers to reach the target group
  • Different media are conceivable: advertisements, blog posts, influencer marketing, etc.
  • Exchange and communication with the customer is our top priority

What’s it about? Internship in a marketing agency

A marketing agency attracts clients from very different industries. Right from the start, we coordinate where the goal of the respective brand lies. Are there more visitors on the website? Should the turnover be increased? Should a certain number of followers be reached?

Each different goal, each customer needs his own strategy, his own concept and his own approach.

It is also important that not only the goal is defined correctly but also the target group. When defining the target group, it quickly becomes clear on which medium should publish and which is not particularly suitable. To address a target group of 40-55 year olds, for example, you won’t find your voice heard on TikTok as on Facebook.

  • Define target group (example: how old are the brand’s customers?)
  • Select publishing platform / medium

My internship: Model Agency, Content Marketing and Fashion Magazine

Not only do you learn a lot about marketing and social media, you also get extremely deep insights into search engine optimization. Depending on the focus of your internship, you can also get small insights into model booking, consulting and project management.

An internship at Cocaine Models is very versatile, because Cocaine Models is much more than just a model agency. Cocaine Models has an exclusive fashion magazine, FIV Magazine, as well as its own Social Media Agency.

Creative teamwork and independent work

Through the different sections (models, magazine, social media) you get an amazing amount of insights into very different areas of the media world. Starting with research up to the independent conception and publication of articles. But you will also learn how to use the most important software. For example with Photoshop to create graphics. You’ll learn how to do website analytics, evaluate customers and devise new strategies, and create creative content for social media.

There’s something for everyone here and it’s very important that every intern can take valuable content with them. Although this is an internship, working independently is essential. It’s not just about working through the work, but about your creativity, your input and diligence.

6 months internship: Procedure

During my six-month internship at Cocaine Models, I got to know an incredible number of different topics. I started by interviewing influencers for the fashion magazine. I learned so much in my first week: how to contact influencers, how to communicate with management, how to research the influencer and how to create the questionnaire. This was the perfect start for me. I learned how to write e-mails, keep in touch and communicate with management. I was shown how to approach the research so that I still stay within the time frame and get feedback on the questions. As soon as I had the first interviews back, I was shown directly how to embed everything in WordPress and create my own articles. Afterwards I was able to gain my first Photoshop experience when I created the article images. Et voilá – my first articles were already published. At that time it was very exciting when my articles were published, today it is part of my everyday life! It is nice to be heard and to live out your creativity. Gradually, different areas of responsibility were added, but content marketing is always in focus. After my six-month internship I was even taken on and have been working for CM for over 2 years now!

Consulting & Project Management

In addition to the marketing tasks, you also have the opportunity to get a taste of the topics and focuses of the model agency. During my internship I had the opportunity to work in the booking department after an extensive training in content marketing. Every day new clients are added here, who are planning a shooting, a campaign or a video shoot for the next commercial. For them you are the first contact person, whether by phone or e-mail. The fact that you are given so much responsibility is not a matter of course, especially during an internship, and it feels good! Of course, organisation and communication is the most important thing here and therefore you will always be accompanied and get help. Of course you should bring the first basics with you, the rest you will learn with us! Meanwhile I have participated in and organized many projects, from Fashion Week Shows to music video shoots.

  • Communication and organization are the be-all and end-all
  • Contact person for customers and models

Content marketing and top rankings in search engines

The focus of your internship will be on content and online marketing. This is about supporting customers with valuable content in the form of blog posts and thus ranking them high in search engines. In content marketing, I have written numerous articles on various topics. About some topics you already know and can hit the keys directly. But for some other topics you don’t have the overview as a trainee who just finished school. This is no problem at all and almost the better! I like to do a lot of research for my articles so that they deliver the best possible content. This way I become a little expert in the field myself and can learn an incredible amount and acquire knowledge. When you deal with certain topics so intensively, it stays in your head for a while!

Content marketing is not only about writing simple texts. You want to impart knowledge so that everyone understands it but also every person who is already in the topic can acquire something new.  With time, not only the speed and quantity of texts improves, but you also learn new terms and ways of expressing yourself. This is especially advantageous if you want to go on to study.

  • Support for customers in the form of blog posts
  • With content marketing you can achieve higher rankings in search engines
  • Writing articles in hand Expand his vocabulary, acquire knowledge and improve his fluency

Online marketing: search engine to social media

Online marketing includes any form of marketing on the Internet. This can be e-mail marketing, content marketing, influencer marketing or social media marketing. As you can see, almost everything that is known from the advertising world belongs here. Why do so many companies rely on online marketing? Simply because you can reach most people via the internet. Even though the focus is mainly on content marketing, you will also get an insight into social media marketing during your internship. An online presence on social media platforms is elementary for every company. Also for us! We are always happy to take on board new ideas from creative minds and thus constantly improve our social media marketing.

Internship Application: Tips for your cover letter and CV

Tips for your cover letter and resume, your cover letter, your resume – what belongs in a good application?

  1. Tips for your cover letter and resume
  2. Lifestyle: Your most important skills
  3. Testimonials
  4. Certificates

Tips for your cover letter and resume

Applications always have the same pattern, as a rule, an application should include a CV, a cover letter, references and, if applicable, references or certificates. However, each company focuses on different details! Some pay special attention to the design, some to your work experience or school career, others mainly to your personal cover letter. But what is always important in all applications is spelling and grammar. Therefore, edit your application documents with extreme caution and always let a second person take a look at them! Inform yourself in advance about the company and its activities. What impression does the company make on you? Is it particularly young and dynamic or rather old-established and meticulous? Depending on this, you can always adapt and formulate your cover letter. However, it is important that wherever you apply, the recruiter can see that you are motivated and ready to learn new things. Always remember that first impressions count and decide whether you will be invited for an interview or not!

Applications always have the same structure:

  1. Cover letter
  2. Curriculum vitae
  3. Testimonials
  4. Certificates

Tip! If you want to apply for an internship with us, you don’t need to attach extra certificates and references! Instead, write a motivated cover letter in which we see that you would like to work with media and in management!

Write a cover letter: The first look

The most important thing is that your cover letter gives a first impression of you and arouses interest in getting to know you! Express your motivation and show that you have already made yourself aware of the activities in the company. You don’t need an endlessly long cover letter, one A4 page is enough! Make sure that you do not make any spelling mistakes. As you will spend most of your internship in the online editorial department, correct German spelling is extremely important. The best thing is to let your family or friends take a look at your application.

CV: Your most important skills

Your curriculum vitae includes your personal data as well as your full name, date of birth, address, etc. In addition, your telephone number and e-mail address are required so that you can be reached. Make sure that your full school education and all your professional experiences are included. Experience in working life is always an advantage, whether you have already done an internship in an advertising agency or just a temporary job in a café. If you have already gained knowledge or certificates that fit into the field of editing, fashion or marketing, you are welcome to add them! You speak several languages? Great! This is a great advantage especially for our multilingual online fashion magazine. Always mention all the languages you speak with the corresponding knowledge level.

  • Personal data
  • Contact options such as mobile phone number, e-mail address
  • School career
  • Professional experience
  • Languages
  • Hobbies

Motivation? Tell me about yourself

What I can tell you from my experience: Make it short and sweet and show that you really want the job. Because, the competition is fierce. Just don’t make your cover letter too long. In the best case, it should only be half a DIN-A4 page, but no more than a whole page. It’s not about long phrases, but about getting a picture of you and showing that you are really interested in the job.

  • Show that you really want the internship
  • Keep it short: Your cover letter should ideally be half a DIN-A4 page

Good luck with your application!

Paleo or Stone Age Diet: Definition, Advantages & Disadvantages

Paleo diet / Stone Age diet – The Stone Age diet describes the concept that has been proven for over 200,000 years to lead to health, increased performance and the ideal weight. The term “Paleo” is an abbreviation for the English word “paleolithic”. The word means something like “stone-age”. Vegetables, high-quality animal products and fruit are the main components of the so-called “Stone Age diet”. The focus of this diet is not on the quantity, but on the quality of the food. The stone age life is not to be imitated, rather it is a question of nourishing oneself naturally. Therefore, the Paleo diet is based on our ancestors, the hunters and gatherers. Whether the Paleo diet keeps what it promises, what the advantages and disadvantages are and the criticism of the fancy diet, you can read here.

Paleo definition and 7 principles

Give up sugar

Especially drinks like soft drinks, iced tea and juices contain a lot of sugar. Sugar consumption leads to increased insulin levels, which is the cause of many diseases such as diabetes. Carbohydrates also cause the body to store energy in the form of fat instead of reducing the fat store.

No dairy products

Avoid milk and dairy products! These foods can be the cause of autoimmune diseases or promote them. Just like cereal products, the milk of other animals has only been consumed by humans for 10,000 years. Milk from cows contains substances that are not designed for human digestion. In addition, there are animal hormones in the milk.

Grain products are a no-no

Whether white flour or rice, these products contain a lot of carbohydrates but few nutrients. Just like sugar, carbohydrates in the form of cereal products cause or promote civilization diseases.

Hands off ready meals

On fast food or bag soups, convenience foods contain large amounts of artificial additives and unhealthy fatty acids. During the Paleo diet is to avoid highly processed foods.

Vegetable fat is not allowed

During the Paleo diet, products such as margarine and oils such as sunflower or rapeseed oil should be avoided. Alternatively, animal fats such as lard or butter can be used. Exceptions are coconut and olive oil.

Fruit in moderation

Everyone knows that “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”, but fruit also contains a lot of sugar. In hunter-gatherer times, fruit was available to humans in much smaller quantities. Although fruit contains many healthy and important nutrients, the fructose also makes you fat.

Pay attention to the good fatty acids

Due to the proliferation of vegetable oils, there is an excess of omega-6 fatty acids, and an omega-3 fatty acid deficiency. A lack of omega-3 fatty acids can lead to insulin resistance and an increased susceptibility to inflammation. The good omega-3 fatty acids can be found in fish, for example.

Tips: Healthy eating and weight loss

Here you can find more articles on this topic!

Procedure of a Paleo diet

The idea behind the Paleo diet is to eat like a Stone Age man. This means eating products that are as natural as possible, no legumes, no grains and no dairy products. The Paleo diet is more than just a diet, it is a form of nutrition that is supposed to be healthy.

It is recommended to start the Paleo diet gradually and to implement the change step by step. You can set yourself a period of time in which you adhere to the principles of the Paleo diet described above. A test phase of one month is recommended. During this period of time, you will have to abstain from many foods that are on your plate these days. These foods include: Rice, pasta, bread, sugar, processed meat but also coffee and alcohol. Ideally, a Paleo meal should consist mainly of proteins found in egg, fish and meat and vegetables. The body fat measures decreases particularly strongly in the first six months. However, this effect decreases in the following 24 months of the active Paleo diet.

Experience with the Paleo diet

The Paleo diet is a great way to lose weight healthily and to consciously deal with what you actually eat. The stone age diet also brings some disadvantages with it!

Disadvantages of the Stone Age diet

The Paleo diet should not become permanent. While today’s healthy adult has a caloric requirement of around 2,000 calories, the hunter-gatherers of the Stone Age had a requirement of over 3,000 calories. So this large amount of fish and meat provides modern humans with significantly more protein than needed. Too much fat and few carbohydrates can lead to weight gain rather than weight loss as with the Stone Age diet. Because the meat and fish 200,000 years ago came from wild animals, it had a lower fat content than the meat that today comes largely from factory farming. Problems with the joints and high blood pressure are also complaints that can go along with the Paleo diet.

Advantages of the Stone Age diet

The Stone Age diet is probably one of the longest tested diets of mankind. A variety of studies prove the effectiveness of the Paleo diet. Who is looking for a healthy diet, is probably interested in the longest proven diet there is. Rejecting industrially produced food is in principle a health-promoting attitude. Especially convenience foods, soft drinks and hormonally treated milk are considered harmful to health. By eliminating processed foods and especially grain products, the Paleo diet is helpful for alleviating autoimmune and metabolic diseases such as acne, multiple sclerosis, and diabetes. This diet has also been proven to lose weight, stabilize blood sugar, and increase athletic performance. Other benefits that make the Stone Age Diet so popular are fewer headaches and an end to afternoon fatigue. Already the occupation with what one takes to itself has the conscious contact with food and a learning effect to the consequence.

Paleo diet & the consequences

But what are the goals and consequences of the Paleo diet? As with almost all diets, the goal of the diet is to get rid of bad eating habits and bring the body back into balance. Consequences of the Paleo diet are first weight loss, less fatigue, a reduced feeling of fullness. Especially allergy sufferers might feel redeemed and show a weaker reaction to triggers.

The Paleo food pyramid

Vegetables

Vegetables are one of the cornerstones of the Paleo diet, so you need to consume plenty of them. Vegetables provide sources of fiber and phytochemicals.

Meat

Valuable proteins, micro-nutrients and healthy fats are provided by meat. The Paleo diet pays special attention to the quality of the meat. This is found especially in meat from animals that have grown up in their natural environment. Meat from pasture-fed sheep, cattle and free-range chickens and pigs.

Fish

Fish and seafood are also good sources of protein and important omega-3 fatty acids. It is recommended to eat fish dishes at least 2-3 times a week. Here too, it is important to take a look at the origin of the fish. Wild caught fish is better than fish from aquacultures and fish farms.

Eggs

Eggs are better than they are made out to be. During the Paleo diet, they provide important nutrients such as vitamins, proteins and good fats and also keep you full for a long time.

Fruit

Fruit provides the body with vitamins and fiber. But as described above, fruit should only be consumed in moderation because of the fructose. It is also advisable to switch to fruit with a lower sugar content, such as berries instead of grapes and bananas.

Healthy fats and oils

Especially for cooking, good fats are an essential part of the Paleo diet. Selected vegetable fats such as olive oil, avocado oil and coconut oil are healthy energy suppliers.

Sugar free drinks without additives

Sugar and additives are also taboo for drinks during the Stone Age diet. Alternatives are for example water, coconut water and unsweetened tea.

Criticism of the diet and method

Some doctors warn against the Paleo diet because, as described above, there is a risk of gaining weight quickly instead of losing it. Blame is the high fat content of the Paleo diet. The Paleo diet is a low carb diet. The sinning with a slice of bread falls thereby during this Diät still more in the weight than with other parliamentary allowance. Overweight threatens diseases such as high blood pressure, depression and joint problems.

Recipes: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

Breakfast – A Paleo breakfast could consist of fried eggs, broccoli and a fruit salad, for example. At lunch, there are peppers stuffed with minced meat, in the evening fish with vegetables. Paleo snacks are fruit or nuts.

Lunch – Lunch on the Stone Age diet is a pepper stuffed with ground beef or a fatty animal product such as steak or salmon fried in coconut oil or beef tallow with a large serving of vegetables. Paleo snacks are nuts and fruit.

Dinner – A Paleo dinner can consist of green vegetables with species-appropriate fish, a glass of bone broth, and a handful of nuts.

Instagram Tips & Tricks – Get Follower, Increase Reach, Build Community

Instagram Tips – for young start-ups, fashion designers to stylish restaurants, even for established businesses, 50 or 100 years old, Instagram is new territory for many when it comes to marketing! What does being successful on Instagram mean? How do you build a community? How do you win more followers? When do you post and how often? Questions over questions! That’s why we met with an Instagram expert whom some of you may have seen on Sat1, Pro7 or RTL, Stefan M. Czaja Punkt one of the leading experts and not only a TV guest as a speaker he speaks to 300 people about marketing and social media. If you want to know more about Instagram Marketing, you can find many blog posts on the site of his social media agency.

Today he gives us a short overview about social media marketing on Instagram. We also talk about boughtikes, is it worth it? Then we also wanted to know comma there is software he would recommend as an expert for start-ups or young fashion designers? As a low-cost digital social media manager, so to speak. Because especially at the beginning you have to pay attention to every euro as a datap! So let’s come to our expert’s tip for your Instagram Marketing & Community Management.

What does success mean on Instagram? Community and followers

Success on Instagram means active community. Fashion trends, outfits, travel destinations, all the beautiful photos are worth nothing if nobody is interested in them. Community management, community building and most importantly community maintenance are the cornerstones of Instagram Marketing for companies. This is no longer just about selling but about brand awareness. Brand awareness is a technical term used by advertising agencies and stands for brand awareness. As you the connection or the relationship between brand and prospective customers, customers stands in the foreground. These two groups must also be taken into account in the approach and, of course, also when it comes to creating added value for one’s followers. Through added value, this can be simple questions to learn the honest opinion of the followers or relatively simple actions such as exclusive discounts that are only available on your Instagram channel. But added value is also that you react to comments. 85% of all startups and companies ignore comments from their own community. A person has taken time for the brand. If he or she often doesn’t get a reaction, the fan will stop sooner or later. The fewer comments there are, the less motivated other users are to comment on the content. The constant interaction between the channel, that is you as a boss, social media manager and the audience is the central tool for success on Instagram.

Community care

Even the first 100 fans are important when it comes to the construction. Because the first 100 followers are the first 100 brand advocates. They don’t have to be convinced anymore, they’re already there. Just as important are the first 1000 followers, a goal where many will now of course say, what only 1000 fans? Maybe I can kidnap you and we can do a little example. Just ten years ago, when Instagram and the big world of social media didn’t exist, a young fashion designer had to distribute flyers, make phone calls to buyers, get press placements in magazines, all almost impossible for a young designer! Especially the placement in media, in fashion magazines, is not possible without sufficient financial means. Social media has changed this, you can reach up to 1,000 fans from your own circle with one photo or video. Without a phone call, without distributing a flyer, without an appointment with a buyer to possibly be included in the new collection. You can reach 1000 people, who like me anyway, from your own means, almost free of charge. Marketing has never been so effective! That’s why the community is so important and that’s why the first 100 as well as the first 1000 fans are so important for you!

When I visit companies as a consultant I often hear that their own social media manager is dissatisfied because they only have 8,000 fans, much better would be 80,000 fans. Why and be satisfied? Who was already happy with 100 and also happy with 1000 fans, reacts differently, likes his community more, Inter acts more, brings more positive image. You should always keep the high goals but you should also be happy with what you have achieved and make it clear to your community by being present, interacting with people and demanding their honest opinion.

Interaction and software

For many startups, a dedicated social media manager who takes three or four hours a day to look at other channels, observe trends, likes to give comments, is far too expensive. Giving and commenting onikes on other channels on a daily basis would of course be too time-consuming in addition to the important tasks of new customer acquisition, accounting and general management. Much because Tabs but also many large companies therefore rely on social media software.

The interaction on one’s own channel, with one’s own photos and videos as well as direct news are thus done by oneself. All interaction on other channels, i.e. likening and commenting on other photos and videos, is handled by the software. Maybe we can come back to a practical example later how much social media software helps in our daily work and how much time it saves!

visual language and harmony

The second aspect is that the image content becomes more creative and varied due to the increased motivation. Often it is only details that make the difference but these details have a big impact on the long run. So before you think about a concept or a strategy, you need to find your own visual language. But as a social media manager I can only recommend to look for inspiration on other channels, if you don’t have to deal daily with bringing creativity into photos. Inspiration can of course be found directly on Instagram!

Find inspiration on other Instagram channels

Many will say now, is nevertheless clear! But from my experience I know that many companies, especially if they haven’t done anything in the field of social media marketing yet, spend many days and weeks with the conception. In the end, it might have taken an hour on Instagram to look at competing offers or completely different offers, e.g. just successful influencers.

  • What photos work?
  • What picture language works?
  • Is it rather the portrait or rather the whole body?
  • Are there many details in the image or does the photo focus on a specific subject?

My ultimate Instagram tip, for channel building but also for further support, save images in Instagram! Many do not use this function, but it is quite simple. You can save your own photos directly as inspiration in Instagram, you can even create different folders. For example, you can separate by photos of the team, photos of the product, photos of the lifestyle, photos of novelties, photos of the fair, …

To be able to save images, simply click on the icon below the image. Then go to the photo or video and your saved content. If you are fast, you can then directly select a folder where the photo should be saved. The photos are a constant source of inspiration, for oneself but also for employees or freelancers. Another small instagram tip from everyday life, with a large archive of inspiration one also has good ideas available at moments when one is less creative. For example, if you’re at a Fashion Week just before the first fashion show, you usually don’t have much time to think about creative concepts for Instagram. With a look into the stored photos, you have a lot of ideas and perhaps find a way to directly transform an idea for the current situation.

As I said, in practice many companies are busy for days and weeks thinking about what pictures should look like. It’s much faster with a glance at Instagram and Blogger and companies that are already making it successful. Here you save a lot of time and money as a startup. You can then focus your creativity again on your new fashion collection or, of course, on other areas of setting up a company.

But the A&O for Instagram are beautiful photos and a harmonious style of the Instagram feed.

Beautiful photos are important on Instagram – your own style

The ultimate tip, beautiful photos! Not everyone thinks about it, in many practical examples, we then see as consultants photos with a lot of text, preferably scattered in ten lines, with five different motifs, for example in the lottery. The next photo is dark, showing a lot of products. The next photo is a Selfie. No picture style, no line, no picture language. Recognition is so important for companies. Let’s just look at the basic practice, each company has its own colour. Each company has its own typeface, each company has its own concept. People need this recognition, not only to give us an advantage as a company, they get used to a certain look and never want to see it again because they like it. If we change this look too often, the fee sings sour cream and possibly the follower jumps off.

For Instagram you must always be clear that you need a visual language and you must not be too profound or give too much information. Why is that? On Instagram you have only a few moments in the feed but also with the stories. The next photo, the next video is only a swipe away. Information must therefore be clear, precise and very accurate. When you take your pictures make sure that

  • You have a consistent style, consistent coloring
  • Pictures focus on one subject, avoid too many details
  • Don’t use fonts or descriptions in image
  • Light, friendly photos are successful, dark, emotionless photos not
  • Sexy always goes!

Filter? Not everything is colorful

Where we just talked about bright and friendly photos and their success on Instagram, here’s the next Instagram tip! Do not use filters. Filters make the photos different, creative, colorful, old but also too much. Instagram is usually about authentic everyday life, not about advertising. Photos don’t need a lot of post-processing, they need creative ideas. I don’t need filters right from the start.

A little tip, corrections are possible. My recommendation:

  • brightness + 8 %
  • Heat + 8 %
  • Color – 8% for cooler, slightly desaturated images and + 8% for colorful images

This slight image correction makes a photo a little brighter, a little friendlier and more likeable, but is not at all comparable with post-processing or filters. This is merely a matter of a slight correction of the values.

Camera or Smartphone? The right equipment for Instagram

One of the absolute favorite questions of companies and firms, but also of start-ups and young entrepreneurs, you need a professional camera for instagram?

Anyone who has a modern smartphone of the last few months knows how far camera technology has come. From time-lapse video to photos with different sharpness straight lines, you can conjure up any photo or video on your smartphone today. The camera technology is so sophisticated and small that I now hide extremely good devices in the smartphones. For social media management nowadays you don’t really need a reflex camera anymore, a good smartphone Günter absolutely. You have killed two birds with one stone because you have not only all social media networks always with you but also a good camera. Not only can you pre-produce social media content for Instagram, you can even give it live, e.g. on Instagram TV. Situations are captured much faster because less technology has to be prepared. In addition, you don’t have to carry a large, heavy camera and its batteries. For me, the smartphone clearly wins in comparison!

portrait or square? The right format for photos

Surface is everything! No matter if it is the advertising poster in the city centre or the photo in Instagram feed. When you take pictures, make sure you don’t use your phone in a landscape heart position, but in a portrait position. Instagram gives you a lot more space. For example, if you publish a photo or video in landscape format, you have only a third of the space you could have in portrait format. Therefore, as a small but practical instagram tip, make sure that all your photos and videos are taken in portrait mode, i.e. in portrait format!

More followers? How to build your Instagram Community

Now we come to $10,000,000 question! How do I get more followers? How do I get them very quickly? How do I get them guaranteed? There is never a guarantee!

The community are individual people. Every person has his or her own thoughts, ideas, needs and desires. Social media campaigns can never be guaranteed to be planned. Just think of virality, the subject everyone’s talking about. Can we make a viral video, too? If social media management were that simple, each channel would probably have a billion fans, each video would have a billion views. But it’s not like that. In the competition there are also always competitors with comma, there are the traditional companies, new creative, in addition there are the numerous bloggers who publish content completely free of charge, every day. They also have the added advantage that they are private individuals and not companies “that just want to make money”.

My tips for Instagram:

  • Community Building as discussed above
  • Honest community care and communication with followers
  • Creative content with uniform visual language
  • regular publications, preferably daily
  • Increase reach through paid postings

There are two ways to generate range of coverage. Organic range and paid range. Organic range is the range you get through the algorithm within your own community.

  • The algorithm is influenced by various parameters, e.g. the posting period, when something is published and how many competing offers there are?
  • What is the number of first interactions in the first seconds? How does the interaction develop within the next minutes?

Organic reach thus refers to the people you reach, solely through the effect of the posting. In addition there is still the paid range, advertisements. Because by organic range one creates usually only ten to 15% of the own followers. So if you have 10000 people in front, you usually have 1000 to 1500 people. Through paid reach you can increase this amount of people. Paid range then goes by views, i.e. by the amount of contributions seen. Paid reach is good because organic growth alone would not reach so many people. What a pity, because if on average every 200th person orders a product that interacts with a posting, it would be very practical to reach even more people. That’s why companies advertise.

In principle it is always about organic growth and the organic Betreuung.de not only growth is important but on the regular customers! Through good texts and the involvement of the fans, e.g. through challenges, the own community remains active.

Smart Texts and Instagram Challenges

Smart and ingenious lyrics are definitely short! On Instagram nobody wants to read long, it’s about photos, videos, fast and short entertainment. Texts should therefore always be short and contain impulses for users. Impulses like Call-to-Action, references to our actual offer but also impulses like questions that demand real experiences from users. Questions are a very effective tool, e.g. very simple, “Would you wear it?” The to “what color was your dress at prom?”.

But smart texts aren’t just descriptive or ask questions, you should always remember to mention other brands or people or mark them directly on Instagram. This will give you positive image transfer. For example, if the photo shows a Fanta that is often drunk by young target groups, it is worth mentioning Fanta in the description. Image Transfer. The same goes for the social media stars, of course, if a certain piece of clothing is worn by someone, this person should also be mentioned and marked. This not only ensures that the respective person is informed of the new posting and can therefore react immediately with a like or a comment, which in turn increases the first interaction, which in turn raises the own posting in the algorithm. This also ensures that the posting is also made accessible to parts of the target group of the other person. On the one hand infeed, because there you see the mentions and markings in which the respective account itself was marked, on the other hand a part is also sent out to the target group, as far as parts of it interact with the photo or the video.

Number three is call to action. Who hasn’t heard of anything correct yet, for this one briefly explained.

Call-to-action in the post and stories

Karl zu Action is one of the central tools in online marketing. Corto Action means a direct reference to our respective target, this can be e.g. a product in the online shop, the registration in the newsletter or new fans for our channel. Depending on the white we actively in our descriptions indicate what we want to achieve. e.g.

  • Get 10% discount in our online shop, click here
  • Subscribe to newsletter now, tomorrow the new feature will come!
  • Follow us now on Instagram!

Age is active call to action, call-to-action. For the completeness of the process a link is needed. Unfortunately, you cannot place a link in Instagram Postings, but you can indicate here that the link is in the biography. Users will not only be prompted to click the link, but also to visit your Instagram channel. In the stories it’s already different, here you can place direct links and the full rock can visit the link by simply swyping upwards. Whether online shop or newsletter registration, direct vall to action.

  • Swipe up for 10% discount

Use Instagram Stories

Recommendation marketing is a big topic. Influenza in particular shows how effectively one can achieve sales by evaluating or describing products. The more personal the insights, the more authentic, the more likely the willingness to buy increases Point Instagram Stories are an excellent tool to give personal insights. Of course, the bigger the company you have planned, the bigger the stories. But the big advantage is, they disappear after 24 hours and you can publish several a day. Instagram Stories are produced very quickly and most of them have probably made a few themselves or even do some every day. The big advantage is that they are subject to a less strict construct such as postings in the instagram feed. Here the feed has to look harmonious at the end, the visual language has to be right, … with Instagram Stories it’s all much easier! Here, one does not have to be so creative, as a super simple example, the breakfast table would suffice with a delicious buffet. Afterwards we go to the office, have a coffee and have a look at some collection items. Later we go to the customer appointment and a photo of the cappuccino Togo is taken quickly, afterwards we tell in a short video, that this is now going to a great customer, on whom we are very much looking forward. Small intimate stories that permanently accompany the user.

Brand awareness is a big topic, which means brand awareness. Instagram Stories are an excellent Tulum to constantly send small messages.

Use hash tags selectively

When do hashtags actually make sense? That’s a really good question. Hashtags could now be explained in great detail and philosophized about for a long time, but in the end it’s all about using them as purposefully as possible. Instagram Tip 1 on Hashtags, does not use hashtags that are intended for building. Such always suggest follow me, then I follow you. If you press like on my picture, I press for a like on your picture. Why isn’t this working? We talk all the time about community and interaction, fans reacting to new photos, new videos and not spirit accounts interacting and never doing anything again. This text motivates others, new or even social bots, to interact with your channel. Real fans aren’t there. Tip number 2 for Hashtags, focus on very specific terms.

Instead of 20 hashtags, we focus on our core product and our image. Both components get 3 exact, matching hashtags

  • Three general hash tags like #Beauty, #Eyeliner, #Makeup
  • 3 special hashtags for the image #Contour, #Makeuplover, #Eyeshadows

The goal is to reach the top positions point best of course always place 1, as in Google!

heat map Positioning in online marketing

We all know the search engine Google, the most important platform when it comes to questions on the Internet. Where can I find something? What does something mean? What does something stand for? Where can I find more information about something? The golden brisk in online marketing is number one. The closer you are to this position, the more often you are clicked. Whether on Google or instagram. Here one sees once very beautifully on the basis of the largest search machine of the world on what the views of the user focus, green frequently, yellow very frequently and red almost exclusively.

Buy a follower? Follow for your channel

In fact, there are very many who buy followers. We already had bloggers who had written to us and on closer analysis, out of 250,000 there were a maximum of 20,000 real people. Even large companies work with such funds, buy themselves over the years 10,000, 100,000 fans added. For example, you can see such things easily and without social media software by means of comments. Who has 200 000 followers but only two comments, there can be something wrong.

Buying Follower is quite easy, you can find a lot of offers on the internet. 10.000 fans for 20 $, international from India to the Philippines, up to qualitative 10.000 fans for 300 $, from the German-speaking countries. Ultimately, however, probably no real persons but Social Media Bots.

These accounts will never interact. On the other hand, just to explain, many visitors do not analyze Instagram channels. They just look in a hurry, 100,000 fans, many like that, I’m in. So the medal has two sides. What’s best for you, you have to weigh.

Thank you very much for the detailed discussion. For all our readers who want to start their own business, with their own start-up, fashion design or in the food sector, valuable tips. Thanks for your time!

Questions and Answers

What is instagram for a platform?

As a social network, Instagram is a platform where users can interact with each other. Most popular at the moment are photos in Feed and Instagram stories. The war is usually used daily or two, three times a week. Stories can be made several times a day, they are only available 24 hours a day. Other users respond to these postings and stories. This even leads to small conversations, e.g. in the comments. The more interaction the better! Many users also send direct messages, which are private messages from user to user.

On Instagram you can decide for yourself whether you want to keep your account private, so that only confirmed users have access to photos and videos, or whether the account is publicly accessible. The default setting is of course public. On Instagram, users are particularly concerned with briefly distracting themselves in everyday life. At the breakfast table, while waiting for the subway, small breaks during work, of course also in the evening, for example, when waiting for the date or for friends.

Users typically open Instagram’s app six to eight times a day. This speaks for a very high level of interaction. Small, short content, so-called snack content, is best received by Instagram users. Photos, stories with a length of 10 to 15 seconds or also videos with approx. 10 to 15 seconds length.

How many employees has Instagram?

In 2010, Instagram started with just 13 employees, today there are thousands worldwide. Especially since the acquisition of Facebook, Instagram has evolved. From Ads to IG TV.

Is Instagram the same as Facebook?

Instagram and Facebook differ in many respects, but are also similar. The biggest difference lies in the target audience, the target audience of Instagram is much greater than comparison to Facebook. Facebook now serves almost all age groups, most of whom are between 20 and 50 years old. On Instagram, as described, the target group is significantly younger, usually the users are between 15 and 30 years old. Another big difference lies in the use of media. On Facebook names of all kinds shared by the content, articles on other websites, as well as events but also news. In Instagram, everything focuses on news, comma images and video material, as well as small postings from everyday life, the so-called stories.

Instagram is also faster-paced and is mostly accessed from mobile devices, via App. Facebook, on the other hand, is also used by many as a communication tool from their desktop PC and notebook. This saves you a lot of time and allows you to effectively manage a network.

What’s the matter with you? Because you can!

It used to be extremely difficult to get into the media. Especially for young fashion designers or fashion companies, it was very difficult to get placements in a fashion magazine. We don’t even need to talk about advertising in TV channels or placements in other magazines. Today, thanks to Instagram, but also social networks such as Facebook, YouTube and tiktok everyone can constantly post anything new. Wonderful new world!

What is Instagram Marketing?

Instagram Marketing deals with all the peculiarities and features that the social network Instagram brings with it. As Instagram Agentur concepts and strategies are developed with which companies know, for example, how to proceed step by step with Instagram. Especially when the work is divided among several employees, it is important to have structure and planning.

If you are planning your own Instagram Marketing, you should also create structure and planning. What do I start with? Where am I going? All this I have to keep in mind. This concept, this strategy is pursued day by day. Based on the experiences and learnings you gain every day, you can gradually optimize your Instagram Marketing. The big goal in Instagram Marketing is reach. The more range a startup gets, the more information it can send. The community is therefore a central component of Instagram Marketing. Another central component for many companies and online shops is advertising on Instagram. Because, how can you make money on Instagram? Of course just as everywhere, through the sale of products and services. Advertisements help to reach additional people in addition to organic traffic, i.e. reach that can be generated without advertisements.

What is range instagram?

Reach on instagram corresponds to the amount of followers who have seen a posting. Two factors are distinguished within the range.

Simple range, the so-called views, correspond to the amount of ads that our posting had. A person can get our posting displayed several times. A new view is generated with each new display. In contrast to this is the unique range, so-called unique views. Only individual persons are counted here. It does not matter whether a single person is shown the posting several times or not.

Both factors are important in advertising. If you remember classic commercials, you know that here you often see an advertising film, that you rather remember the brand, you buy the product in the online shop or in the supermarket. The same applies to reach, the more often a person sees the brand or the product, the more likely they are to decide to buy it. When considering mere reach, e.g. when launching a product, the focus is more on unique views, so that the advertising agency can calculate how many people have been reached.

What are Instagram Ads?

Instagram Ads are ads that are displayed within the social network. Ads look like normal postings or stories, they only have a small hint to “sponsored post”. Instagram ads are very effective, as are ads on other social networks. Especially because the target groups can be determined so precisely, according to geographical view, for example all people in Berlin, as well as according to gender, e.g. only the women in Berlin but also things like the old and the interests play in. A certain coat or an expensive leather jacket can only be played off to a certain group of people who can most probably afford the expensive leather jacket and who already have similar interests, e.g. similar brands and products.

How much does advertising cost on Instagram?

The price for advertising on Instagram is not fixed. Depending on the current booking situation of the competition, number of people online, many factors are involved. In a rough rule of thumb, however, one can say that the prices per view can be between 5 cents and 5 €. Depending on how well the ad was made. That’s why many people trust us as a social media agency when it comes to campaign management. Even advertising campaigns on Instagram tend to go in the direction of € 4 to € 15. When it takes 100 views to create a purchase, the costs explode quickly. However, in collaboration with the social media agency, he manages to push prices below 1 €, which can quickly make good profits and earn money on Instagram.

How to make money with Instagram?

There are two ways to earn money on Instagram. One way is the classic sale of products. As described above, it is then a matter of building up your own community, within the group new products can then be presented.

You can besides arose in the social networks a completely new line of business, influencer marketing! Young, hard-working bloggers, who gradually won more fans, today reach millions of people and are the new stars, the social stars! As an influencer you can earn really good money, if you want to know how much you earn on Instagram you can calculate the costs and prices at Influencer Fee: Instagram calculate price. Influenza earn their money either with paid postings, which are postings that are paid directly or with affiliate marketing. Afilliate marketing is a classic from online marketing. You get sales commission. If, for example, an influencer posts a new expensive leather jacket, the link is clicked by 100 people, 40 people buy the leather jacket and the influenza receives a €10 commission for each jacket, it is €400 for this posting.

Model agency under 18 at CM: Top 10 agency in Germany

Finding the right model agency under the age of 18 is not that easy. After all, by choosing a model agency you lay the foundation for your own career. Therefore, it is important to have a renovated agency behind you, so that from the setcard to the photographer to the first jobs and the later international build everything works. Good management means planning and organization, which is especially important for young models, especially when they start with the model, at the age of 14, 15 or 16. For all models under the age of 18, good planning is not only important for a successful career, but also the school should not suffer from modeling. Because of course it is important to have a good school-leaving certificate in your pocket.

What are the first steps you need to take?

The most important basic rule that every model has to follow, no matter if it is already big in its career or only at the beginning, is its own ambition! In addition to ambition, patience is also important, because overnight nobody becomes a star. Whether it’s actors in Hollywood or high fashion models. Therefore you as a model should always have enough patience for yourself and your own way. If you stick to it consistently, you can make it. But what does it matter?

I want to be a model!

The first step is always to convince yourself that you want to be a model. But congratulations, you have already made this step, then you are looking for information. You’ve already overcome the most important hurdle, I want to be a model!

Continue with the model agency search. Finding the right model agency can sometimes take some time. Can you travel far yet? Do you have a big city near you with a renowned modeling agency? Do you already have experience or are you a complete Newface?

Depending on your possibilities, you should always look for a model agency in a big city after our experience. Only in the big city the networks are so strong that you as a model have the chance to work regularly and often. But why is that? Most fashion companies, industrial companies but also companies such as the automotive industry, travel companies and also the real estate industry are usually at home in the larger cities. This means in cities with a population of more than one million. In cities below this size, there are usually too few medium-sized and large companies for you as a model to really make a living from this job. But so that you can concentrate fully on modeling, it would be a good idea to work as often as possible. The mere number of jobs is not decisive, quality is important. For example, shootings for Instagram are extremely different from fees for commercials. The more prestigious your modeling agency is, the more influence it has that you are bigger names, the more jobs it gets on land.

Advertising Agency: Brand, Design, Text, SEO, Online Shop – Advisor & Tips

Advertising agency – In New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris and Hong Kong many enterprises are on the search for an advertising agency. Whether full service or sub-disciplines, such as brand building, corporate design, advertising copy, search engine marketing and public relations, marketing has become complex. New strategies are also being added, for example for social media and influencer marketing. What does an advertising agency do? Our overview in XXXL format with everything you need to know about advertising agencies for your own start-up or as a medium-sized company – the free advertising agency guide:

What exactly does an advertising agency actually do?

The advertising agency definition on Wikipedia summarizes: “An advertising agency is a service enterprise, which takes over the consultation, conception, planning, organization and realization of advertising and other communication measures for […] client”. – Full service.

The exact services of an advertising agency are less known to many. Does an advertising agency only ensure that a certain product becomes known? Does the advertising agency take on much deeper tasks? Who assigns a Full service advertising agency, which assigns a professional, who argues with the entire range mark and marketing. The actual producer, the actual company, can fully concentrate on day-to-day business. Everything about their products or services is of course also influenced by the advertising agency. Just think of market research and new product development. But before we come to such a complex area as product development from market research, for example from reporting from social networks, we take a look at the very basic tasks of an advertising agency.

Corperate Design – Design and Recognition

Anyone who thinks of the big golden M immediately knows where he is at home in the fast food sector. Anyone who sees a star on a car knows immediately which brand it is. Corporate design starts with something small and non-complex like a logo and ends with precise guidelines for large companies and corporations. These even regulate how the logo is to be affixed to a particular make of car, with exact distances in millimetres to the door, wheel or window. Corporate Design deals with the visual red thread of your company. The colour plays an important role here, as do the shapes: round elements, pointed or very straight. All of this will then prevail throughout the entire media portfolio. From an image brochure for customers to a promotional clip for YouTube, as soon as our fans see our brand, they know who is meant. The faster this identification and perception is possible, the greater the brand awareness can become. Just think of the bustling shopping street in the city centre: the faster you can identify a particular fashion store from the jungle of fashion stores, the faster you will run towards it.

Corporate Design is not only concerned with the wishes and ideas of the customer, but also with the final customers and consumers. So how can you design your brand in such a way that your desired target group finds it appealing and attractive?

All these questions are clarified, conceived and developed by an advertising agency. From the logo to the image brochure, from the website to the web shop, even the car fleet is branded. Recognition ensures that our customers have quick access to us, but also quickly storm into our stores or online shops.

Content Marketing – Content with added value

Speaking of attracting visitors, the area of content marketing in particular has become extremely popular in recent years. Content Marketing works with texts in different facets and variations.

Content marketing can be the placement in a prestigious medium. For example, we can buy a placement in an article in a well-known magazine. This article then discusses a topic that is right for our company. If, for example, you are a real estate agency and have vacant apartments in the Berlin area, but are also looking for new properties, it would be worth buying an article in a magazine about real estate agents in Berlin. As soon as someone wants to give up their apartment, rent it out or sell it, they search the Internet for a good real estate agent in Berlin. Of course, you immediately look for reviews and recommendations and then probably discover our article in the trade magazine.

By this recommendation marketing, in combination with content marketing, we reach a fast and high level of trust with the users and thus the chance increases that you as a real estate agent get the free apartment and not the competition.

Content marketing, however, also extends to parts of search engine optimization, we will deal with this aspect in more detail later in search engine marketing. Search engine marketing deals with various areas of optimization for search engines, but also with analysis and monitoring.

Communication – advertising copy and PR

Advertising texts, one of the supreme disciplines of any advertising agency. Every idea can be packaged in thousands of words: the countless advantages, the differences to the competition, the small details that make the product special. Ultimately, however, in advertising communication you only have a few moments to transport messages. In order to use these moments perfectly, you need advertising texts that are short and concise, yet as informative as possible. But that is not enough, advertising texts also need added value for the ultimate consumer. Why should I change? Why should I bother to click on the online shop? Why would I go downtown? Advertising agencies will find the perfect answer to these questions. A coherent formulation, which is then adopted for the further advertising concept.

The media used ultimately form from this. This communication concept ultimately leads to the Guideline, which all employees, agencies and freelancers must adhere to. Of course, the concept also contains other aspects, such as the company’s dos and don’ts or formulations outside certain standards that require approval. By means of the guideline or the communication concept all other media are designed in their formulation, from the image brochure for the own company up to the flyer, and of course also larger advertisements and campaigns.

Outdoor advertising naturally also plays an important role for many large corporations and companies. No matter whether it’s the placements on the way to work or on the way back home: from the food company to fashion to technology & automotive, there is a lot of competition in outdoor advertising. Unlike on the Internet, the space is not always available and advertisements cannot be exchanged every second. Outdoor advertising therefore requires a lot of preparatory work, organisation and planning in order to reach the consumer effectively. Here, too, the advertising texts must be very short and concise. Usually only two or three words, in combination with the visual language, which should convince the consumer.

All this work has only one purpose, to promote sales in business. Regardless of whether it is the point of sale in stationary retail or the point of sale as a digital marketplace, your own or a third-party online shop. As you can see, there are various and, above all, very diverse marketing opportunities. An experienced advertising agency helps with the selection of the media, but also with the formulation of the right texts. An overview of the areas of application:

  • Communication concept
  • advertising texts and PR
  • brochures and flyers
  • Adverts and campaigns
  • Outdoor advertising and posters
  • Direct Marketing and Mailing
  • Sales promotion and POS

Brand – structure and presentation

Co-design, text and presentation ultimately lead to a major strategic goal, the development of one’s own brand. How do we present ourselves to customers? How do we present ourselves to our own employees? How should other competitors think of us? Brand building is a very complex and psychological topic. It is often small aspects that can make a brand known.

Example of brand development and brand image – Take a look at the name of our agency as a best practice example. The name Cocaine Models can and is sometimes controversial. At the same time, the name ensures that the agency is a topic of conversation in the right circles. The daring title of the name also conveys a certain philosophy of the agency, the young, the new, the rebellious. Of course all for the image only, in the background the agency is exhibited for high fashion customers as well as for advertising customers and promises extreme professionalism. The proximity to haute couture brands and international brands also sharpens the brand profile. The online presence focuses on young people and at first glance suggests to customers that there are tomorrow’s model newcomers here.

Regular events in an extremely high-quality setting as well as fashion shows and model castings ensure constant interaction, not only via digital media, but also live. In addition, representative work was quickly agreed with renowned agencies in mega-cities such as New York, London and Tokyo. This overall mix ensures that young talents feel very comfortable with us, as they have the chance of an international career, and at the same time customers see that we find the best talents in Germany through these targeted measures. An overall mix, which can be read over many pages in the planning, but, as you can see here, can also be described in short form.

Each brand image is individual!

Every brand image is individual! Advertising agencies are trained to find out the peculiarities of companies and to work out philosophies in such a way that they can also be reproduced in the shortest form.

Let’s find your brand core and let’s develop a strategy together with a three-, five- or ten-year vision!

Brands and branding at a glance:

  • Brand / competition analysis
  • Development of identity
  • Brand architecture
  • Positioning
  • Naming

POS Material – Equip business premises

The furnishing of business premises is definitely one of our favourite disciplines! Interior design, feel-good rooms, sales areas and, of course, how do we keep the customer in the store? But not only the point of sale is important, but also the media distributed within the business premises. Beginning with the shop window decoration, where you can rely on props as well as work very well with print, up to the checkout area and the reference to one or the other small take-away article.

Changing designs with changing campaigns and seasons, the installation of monitors and screens for moving images, in the area of POS material for business premises is much possible. It doesn’t always have to be the dusty brochure!

Advertising agencies are partly specialized to get involved in such ideas, to deliver creative concepts, how to stand out in the crowd! Especially in the shopping streets, which there are in every big city, the competition is big. In particular, fashion companies there are link to link ranked, like a chain. Where do I shop? The decision often only takes a few seconds. As we have already discussed before with the topic Corporate Design, it is firstly about the quick recognition of the brand and secondly again about the added value for our consumers! Maybe we have glasses and hats to match the current summer weather. Our media point directly to colors, cheerfulness and vacation. The perfect occasion to take a short break in the middle of the shopping mile! This is how effective POS marketing works in combination with business equipment, business premises and media.

Print advertising material – sales promotion information

Print advertising has always been important. Of course you can discuss the importance of a business card up and down. Ultimately, however, the point is to ensure that the business card, i.e. the contact, remains present. A name that’s only spoken is easy to forget. The business card remains on the desk. Just as with the business card, it is of course the same with other print media. Do you remember the catalogues from the 80s, 90s? The catalogue had permanent presence in the living rooms of families and households. Every now and then they rummaged in it and every now and then something was ordered. That’s exactly how it works today!

In the mailbox you discover a lot of advertising, 90% is not important for us, but sometimes we discover something that we pick up. The classic: the pizza card from the pizza baker around the corner. The pizza arrives fresh and hot, maybe you even get a few percent discount as a loyal regular customer. Continue with supermarket brochures, which are popular with many people. In the USA, couponing, collecting vouchers or combining them to get even bigger savings offers, has even become a real folk sport.

Although the world is becoming increasingly digital, print media retain their impact. From the business card, mentioned at the beginning, which remains on the desk, to the sales brochure in which the most important products are listed so that a sales representative or salesperson can present them immediately to the customer, to large posters, city lights and outdoor advertising.

Of course, we always recommend an individual mix of print media for your own business stationery. The car dealership needs brochures, fashion companies need large posters and sales representatives need the classic business card.

Tip: Think about the environment when printing

From our experience as a successful advertising agency we have very often noticed that large quantities are often ordered, therefore safety first! Particularly in the print sector, the costs for unit prices are falling enormously to high volumes. While the small hairdresser orders 1,000 pieces for 500 €, the automotive group orders 1,000,000 pieces for 5,000 €. The problem is that more than half of all printed media ends up in the warehouse and ends up in the garbage. A great waste of energy, from the loss of the trees, the production with energy, the manpower used and the inks in the print shop to the delivery to the passing on.

Therefore, when placing your final order, always think a little bit about the environment and ask yourself the question: do we really need one million pieces or are 100,000 pieces enough?

Production – Photographic and video material for advertising

The production of photo and video material for the print media, but of course also for all online and digital media, is one of the major core elements of advertising agencies. Here it depends on the close cooperation with many freelancers. It starts with the organization, including the photo studio, the photographer, a videographer, possibly the assistant, one or more make-up artists, stylists for props and outfits… many workers, who have to be organized together at one appointment.

In order for this tour de force to work at all, a lot of experience in planning and organizing photo shootings is required. The processes must be exactly right, a concept must be available in advance that immediately makes sense to every team member. The customer, i.e. you, must have given your okay to this advertising concept and all team members must be briefed in detail with a complete moodboard, i.e. a paper in which all scenes are represented pictorially, up to the timing and final callsheet. In the callsheet you define which people are present at the production date, how to best reach them and the times and of course all information for the assistant, from the driver for airport and hotel transfers to the camera assistant. Here is an overview of the most important parameters:

  • Shooting concept or campaign concept
  • moodboard with scenes images
  • Callsheet with contact addresses of all team members and time control file
  • Preliminary coordination and organization between photographer, videographer, technician, photo studio, make-up artist, stylist, models,…

Advertising and product photographer

Advertising and product photographers have a demanding job. Since we have to do very often with the material and also very frequently customers with us inquire whether we can support with the switching to first-class photographers, we have for this a separate range! Read more about the topic here:

Image processing for media

The post-editing in photography makes up a large part of the first class. We work in particular with photographers who work for international young brands, because they have the most up-to-date image for the zeitgeist, and with those photographers who also frequently cooperate with magazines, because they focus in particular on high-end postproduction. In the area of Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop no one can fool them so quickly. Of course, many photographers also use Capture One. But no matter what the software’s name is for the photographers, we can get you to the best in retouching.

In the image editing process, you only use the Lightroom program once you’ve heard it. Here, all photos are transferred from the camera and released for selection in large quantities, but the colors are also corrected once in a while. This results in the pre-selection or selection for the customer, which can then be used to decide on the final photo motifs. As soon as you, the customer, have made your decision as to which photos will ultimately be used for the campaign, these photos will be retouched in detail. For the retouch, the post-processing of the photos, programs like Adobe Photoshop or Capture One are used. Here the details are worked on, from the skin to individual strands of hair and of course dust on the floor. The supreme discipline is skin, of course. The image must not appear unnatural and ultimately post-processing must never look like post-processing. The best photographers edit their photos so that most would assume that they were never reworked. Here lies the great art of advertising and product photography!

SEM – Search engine marketing

Search engine marketing is nowadays one of the central means for sales promotion. In the digital age almost all information flows go via search engines, from simple questions to complex formulations. Companies that deal with search engine optimization for online shops and websites are the experts for rankings in search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Bing or Yandex. Of course, Google is the absolute market leader on most continents. However, there are also various new search engines that offer new approaches, for example through ecological concepts. No matter how, in the field of search engine marketing you need an expert.

Our agency has already successfully brought over 50 clients to page one in over 20 countries around the world. Not only on page one, many of the keywords, which are search terms of the users, have also made it to number one, in the national as well as in the English-speaking area. Search engine marketing is so efficient because nobody goes to the city centres for new products anymore, first of all they search online. No matter whether they are digital marketplaces or the online shop. Not only products, but also services are increasingly called up online these days.

  • Which nearby massage parlours are recommended?
  • Where to find the nearest dealership for luxury brands?
  • What is the best shampoo?
  • Ladies T-Shirt Trends 2020
  • WLAN Berlin

Search queries are very different, but they are interesting and relevant for every industry, because a large part of the competition takes place in the digital market today. This cross-media mix, i.e. the spread across different media, has become extremely important for companies. Search engine optimization also relies on scattering. Let’s take a quick look at the topic of search engine optimization.

SEM / SEO – Search engine optimization

Search engine optimization initially deals fundamentally with the placement of websites and online shops in the popular search engines all around Google, Bing or Yahoo. The higher a website is placed, the more clicks it receives. The goal for any search engine company is to reach number one. But why is place one so important? Let’s take a look at a heatmap from the market research, it shows the search engine Google and the views of the users after a search query. It is clear to see that the largest presence always has its place at the top left. Because here all users get caught with their eyes, the advertisements are also placed in this prominent place. The closer your website or online shop comes to this point, the more clicks you are likely to get and the more sales you can make. Here you can see the views again clearly in the heat map:

How to get to page one on Google?

To reach page one, you first have to look at the competition. Is there a lot of competition or not? If, for example, we want to do search engine optimization in the area of real estate, apartments, insurance or financial services, we need correspondingly high capital for the implementation of the goals. It is already easier when it comes to more specific terms, for example the “lamp shop in Hamburg”. Here are a few examples of relatively difficult projects in search engine optimization and also a few simpler ones.

First a look at rather difficult keywords:

  • Hotel New York
  • short vacation Las Vegas
  • Car dealership Paris
  • Restaurant Berlin

In addition to these hard to come by keywords, there are also simpler ones, for example local topics or niche topics:

  • Lamp specialist shop in Hamburg
  • Short-Holiday Neuschwanstein Castle Bavaria
  • test drive Paris
  • Vegan Restaurant Recommendations Berlin

In this little example you can see that the more exact the terms become, the easier search engine optimization will probably be. Whereby ‘simple’ in the context of search engine optimization does not necessarily mean that it is not complicated. It is only relatively less expensive. Ultimately, however, targeted search engine optimization always remains an ongoing project and not a one-off setup, as long as it is a medium-sized and large company.

So far we were only in the area of content, of course there are even more aspects in search engine optimization, for example the page structure, but it would go too deep into detail. More important is the additional OnPage optimization. OnPage refers to all changes and measures that are made on your own website or in your online shop.

But there is more to search engine optimization than just OnPage optimization.

OnPage and OffPage optimization (backlinks)

As described, the OnPage optimization deals with a call of the own Internet page. The OffPage optimization then revolves around all measures outside the own online project. A large and central part of this is the generation of backlinks. Backlinks are links from other sites to our project.

Backlinks simply described:

  • Best Practice Real Estate – the central topic for our clients: House and apartment to buy or rent
  • We as advertising agency provide for the reader many topic-relevant sides with increase in value, which it does not find somewhere else
  • Example article: Kitchen trends 2020
  • The article will rise over weeks and months always higher in the placement
  • A larger living magazine investigates at some point to the topic kitchen trends of the coming yearly
  • The editor takes over two or three ideas and links our website
  • As an advertising agency we also buy a backlink in an online blog
  • By the cross-reference in the living magazine a further Blog on us became attentive and links for the third time the kitchen trends

The result of our backlink strategy or content and backlink strategy looks like this:

  • Organically, the article reached page one after five weeks and tended to stay there on place eight or nine
  • With the constant cross references our article rose step by step and now occupies place one

How do kitchen trends and houses fit together? In search engine optimization, you don’t just take up your rigid subject area, but also horizontally related topics. For example, when we talk about selling or buying a house, we should also talk about land in this context, i.e. garden, driveway and garage. But we should also report on the inner life of the house, from the kitchen to the living room, bathroom, children’s room, and of course family life, everything about electricity comparison, insurance comparison, but also tips for your own home such as formulating YouTube videos. A thousand ideas! One goal: sales promotion.

Our internal experts ensure international placements, in several languages and in several countries. No matter whether national project or international, we help you in all areas. With reference projects that speak for our quality.

SEM / SEA – Search engine analysis

After the search engine optimization we want to have a short look at the search engine analysis. The search engine analysis deals with the behaviour of users on our own website. In addition, the search engine analysis also considers the effects of our search engine optimization. Have we risen or fallen in the rankings? How can I improve my ranking on Google? With exact key figures you can draw conclusions from the reporting and monitoring of the search engine.

Social Media – Marketing on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram

Modern, modern, social media marketing! Anyone who is a brand nowadays is of course also active in the social networks. But it is no longer just prestige that attracts companies to social networks, but increasingly also sales strength. Social networks have developed into the central communication channel of our society. No matter how far you are from each other, scattered across continents or even just in two different rooms, WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram dominate our daily lives. Therefore, having a clear presence in social networks is a central means for many companies to win new customers. As an advertising agency, social media marketing therefore plays an increasingly central role in the marketing context. Social networks are particularly popular as a communication channel for companies with young target groups.

Development of networks and advertisements

Social networks are also constantly evolving. Facebook used to be a timeline with a connected messenger service. Meanwhile Facebook is a huge universe of groups, different interests, information pages, companies and of course billions of individuals. Facebook enables companies and firms to place targeted advertisements to selected target groups. Advertisements have extremely low wastage, they hit exactly the people our advertisement is supposed to hit. No matter whether our target group is between 19 and 20 years old or between 35 and 40 years old, male or female, with interests or with fewer hobbies. There are local, regional and also city related advertisements as well as live broadcasts for events. Thanks to the Campaign Manager, you can bring products and services to the right audience in the most extreme way. Instagram has also changed: while in the past it was relatively difficult for advertisers to monitor campaigns, i.e. clearly evaluate the successes, Instagram now also has the option of placing links. For example, you can specifically advertise online shop products that are also specifically linked. Subsequently, the conversion rate of visitors to a website to customers can be read off precisely and the success or failure of the campaign can be assessed.

However, with billions of users, social media has also evolved in other facets, not only in advertising. Individual users have turned out to be so creative that they have gathered more and more fans behind them. Today, their communities are made up of millions of people, and the technical term for these special users is Influencer.

Influencer Marketing

About Influencer Marketing we already wrote a lot in our Social Media Blog! Influencer marketing deals with two central points:

  • Permanent presence and mention in the target group
  • In optimal case, direct sales promotion

Many companies have high expectations of influencer marketing. They understand influencer marketing, i.e. the cooperation with people in public life, as an advertisement: if I invest 500 €, I get 1,000 € out. Wrong thinking. Influencer marketing is more comparable to TV advertising, it ensures a regular presence within the target group and thus anchoring in the minds. If people are then looking for certain products and have received several recommendations from one or more of their favourite people in the social media in advance, you will remember our product and will therefore be more likely to choose the known or recommended product in the shop or online shop. This concept is called recommendation marketing.

Recommendation marketing is the core of influencer marketing. People who talk about us make the brand relevant. The more positive the statements about the brand are, the more likely users are to be willing to access this product. It is important not to place a product once, but over a regular period of time. Because unique advertisement goes up in smoke, no matter whether print, digital advertisement or even a flyer insert in the magazine. It is important that the brand is always present and thus taken into account in every purchase decision. Learn more about the topic here:

Webdesign – Responsive design for website and online shop

In former times internet pages were built statically with HTML. A little later the separation of structure and design came in HTML and CSS. The CSS file is global and contains all commands for the design, for example:

  • Font type and size
  • background colors or images
  • Color of lines and tables
  • Distance to next element

HTML contains all structural commands. The best known are Header and Footer. The header usually contains the menu and the footer the further information.

Webdesign is therefore concerned with the basic structure of Internet sites and online shops as well as their design. However, the design should not only be visually appealing, but also lead to sales. For this there will be special banners or collages and photomontages.

Content Management Systems like WordPress and TYPO3

Today, however, the design of Internet pages comprises even more aspects, while earlier systems were statically structured as described, today’s Internet pages and shops are structured on the basis of a content management system. This content management system, as well as HTML and CSS, separates structure and design, i.e. the code of the website and the content that is displayed. Simply explained, all contents are stored in a large Excel table. Depending on which page a user calls, the contents of a line are retrieved. This row contains several values distributed over the individual columns. This includes for example the author, the publication date, the associated categories, linked images and media, the content of the article and much more. Thus, a website and an online shop today are built according to the following principle:

  • HTML for the structure and placement of the elements
  • CSS for the design and all visual commands
  • SQL as a database for dynamically generated content

This is how modern content management systems such as WordPress and Typo3 are built, they belong to the absolute basis of every good advertising agency.

Responsive Design for iPhone, Samsung and Co

With the increasing diversification of end devices, web designers have to get used to more and more different formats. That’s why web design today is usually much less creative than it was ten years ago. Ten years ago there were relatively uniform image formats, each screen has approximately the same resolution. At some point notebooks, high definition monitors, and later mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets were added. Of course not to be forgotten in any modern household: the internet-capable 4k TV set, on which people also like to surf. All these different formats must be taken into account when designing websites and online shops. One of the most important end devices that is defined nowadays is:

  • Smartphones – Mobile first!
  • Notebooks and Tablets
  • Computers and Monitors
  • 4k TV screens

As you can see from our website, it should be defined for all end devices. However, not only for the respective end devices, but also for the individual manufacturers and model types. Thus the iPhone 7 differs fundamentally from the iPhone 10. At the same time, models continue to differ, although they are coming onto the market at the same time. Ultimately, the right scaling, graphic design and preparation of the content must be found for every screen resolution. This optimization in usability is the daily bread for good advertising agencies.

Webshop / Online Shop – Your digital marketplace

Digital distribution has been gaining in importance for years. An end is not in sight and the annual growth figures prove the trend. More and more retailers are turning to their own online shop, not just the typical fashion companies or DIY stores. Also more and more smaller companies are naturally attracted in the area of online shopping. The antique dealer around the corner or the hairdresser, who will now offer his products under his own brand in the online shop in addition to Amazon.

Due to the previously mentioned innovations in Web 2.0, in particular the dynamic compilation of content by content management systems, online shops can be produced in great variety today. From a minimal design for exclusive and luxurious products to a large online shop with 10,000 products and more. We, too, have gathered some expertise, from online food retailers to sports fashion manufacturers. Online shops are subject to the same principles as websites. Especially the web design and of course the responsive design for all end devices plays an important role, as does search engine marketing. Every single product should be designed according to the criteria of search engine optimization. As can be statistically proven, the trend for online trading is clearly upwards.

Statistics online trading and growth

As you can see, there is still a lot of scope in the area of e-commerce. From the automobile trade to building materials, wholesale markets and food retailers, but also for fashion companies, Internet providers or travel providers, it is worth considering setting up your own e-commerce.

Statistics: E-Commerce turnover in Germany in 2015 and a forecast until 2020 (in billions of US dollars) | Statista
More statistics can be found at Statista.

Today, comparison portals ensure that many people do without their own Internet presence. There are many examples from everyday life, be it food suppliers whose orders are entered via large platforms and who then deliver dinner, no matter whether pizza or Asian directly to the front door, to the provider of holiday apartments on platforms such as Airbnb. It is worthwhile to place your own e-commerce in connection with search engine marketing. This saves you costs for advertising, e.g. on portals or search engines, and you do not have to pay any sales commission or agency fee to the respective portal for successful sales. Therefore, the investment in an e-commerce model is definitely worthwhile in the long run.

The Fashion Show – Catwalk & Catwalk Tips for Models

You are not a professional on the catwalk yet? Then take a look at our tips for the catwalk! Of excessive importance is an upright posture. You should be able to balance a book on your head. Pull your shoulders back and push your pelvis a little forward. Make sure you do not lean back too much. When you take the first step on the catwalk, you should always be the first to use your ball of the foot. Almost like you want to sneak. This looks a lot more elegant than when you first appear with the hoes.

Run with momentum and character: Find your balance

The important thing is that you put one foot in front of the other. You really should literally take this to heart. Your gait should form a zigzag. Thus, you also get the necessary momentum, which makes your walk only appear characteristic. Your steps should be great, but you should not do a splits. Also always remember to swing your hip. Always move your arms and hands evenly. It should not look like you have two stiff arms.

Your focus should be on the catwalk to a point in front of you

Your look should adapt to the style of your clothes. Try to smile with your eyes and keep your chin always lifted. Keep your head straight and steady. At the end of the catwalk is usually always the rotation. Put your left foot in front and pause for a few very short beats of the music. You should turn your shoulders and feet sideways while your head is still pointing forward and you are looking over your shoulders. After the break, turn your foot in the opposite direction and start to run with the front right foot. Only at the end do you turn your face away from the spectators.

But the most important thing is that you try to get your character involved in your walk. And you should always find yourself very attractive. Because only when you are convinced of yourself, you can convince the audience of you.

  • If you still can not walk well on high shoes, then you will learn it quickly with a little practice. My ultimate tip to keep you from slipping on the catwalk is to lick the soles of your higheels with some lemonade or coke. Your soles start to stick after a short time and you will surely strut over the catwalk.
  • Watch catwalk videos of really good models or visit the fashion shows yourself.
  • Let your friends film while running and posing. You can then watch the videos, and you’ll see for yourself what else you need to fix on yourself.
  • It does not matter if you stumble but you should get up dignified and keep going. Even in such stressful and embarrassing situations, you should stay professional and self-confident.
Try to smile with your eyes (Smize: Smile with your eyes).

Writing to a Model Agency – Application and Preparation

How do I correctly write a model agency? The model agency is very short, although many think that you need previous experience or professional photo shoots. In reality, you don’t need much, two photos and a few dates. Let’s have a look at what the perfect model agency looks like.

Fact: Model agencies have little time

The most important rule is keep your letter very short. Because in a renowned and good model agency, sometimes 50 to 100 applications arrive daily. If there is only one scout in the agency, he has only a few seconds for each application, besides the actual agency work. That’s why you have to score by your photo, not by a long cover letter.

Write to model agency: Contact Details and Dimensions

Your e-mail or letter should contain the following information:

  • Name and first name
  • Age
  • Residence
  • E-Mail address
  • Phone number
  • Body size
  • Fabrication

This basic information should be written to your model agency.

References and Social Media Accounts

Additionally you can add some more information. e.g.

  • Instagram Channel URL
  • YouTube Channel URL if you have more than 5,000 followers
  • Experiences, if you already had jobs or references and customers
  • Reference Links to YouTube or Vimeo for commercials

More information should definitely not be written to your model agency. Now we come to the actually important step, your photo! That’s right, the singular, photo. You don’t need an expensive photo shoot, no professional photographer, just you and a friend or a girlfriend, gladly also your mum or dad, who takes a good photo of you in the daylight. That’s it.

Application Photo for your Letter

As described above, if you are looking for new faces, the model scouts have little time. 50 to 100 applications reach a good model agency on average per day. This means that the model scout only has a few seconds for each application and each individual review of the application documents. In addition to scouting new faces, his work also includes making new contracts, planning the first shootings and presenting the model to the team. So what matters is your photo! In principle, your application should not contain more than a maximum of four photos, but basically one photo or two is sufficient.

  • Portraitfoto
  • Full body photo

In combination with your height, clothing and age, the scout has all the important information for himself. The decision then only takes a few seconds. How can you make your photos too perfect?

Perfect Environment for Application photos

For your application photos you should definitely pay attention to daylight, here you have the best lighting conditions and also absolutely natural radiation. Light emitted by lamps does not have the natural warmth and of course the light source is directly in the room, which can also be seen in the shadows. Therefore you should always make sure in the first step that you take your photo in daylight. You should absolutely do without make-up, any styling that distracts from you and your skin, your hair, your facial features, your proportions is too much! That’s why you should completely do without make-up and styling. Clothes should not distract from you either, so you should wear black trousers and as a woman a black top or as a man a black shirt. With the shoes you should keep it the same, plain and unobtrusive. Let’s sum it up again:

  • Photos in daylight
  • Good smartphone camera is enough
  • No make-up
  • No styling
  • Black trousers, black top, plain shoes

These are the most important facts for your application photos. So you have the two perfect pictures, portrait and full body. Make sure that you don’t laugh at either photo, be absolutely unemotional and just look into the camera. Like I said, nothing should distract from your person, even gestures or facial expressions. If you have both your photos, you are welcome to take a photo with a laugh and a photo of the page so that you can also see yourself in the profile. That would give you four photos and the perfect basis for your model agency to write!

In Prenzlauer Berg there is more upscale gastronomy, although you can still afford it, of course, because the prices in Berlin are not as overpriced as in Munich, for example. In Prenzlauer Berg you will also find numerous smaller clubs, where you can spend the evening relaxed to jazz sounds or dance to house and hip hop. In Prenzlauer Berg you will find fewer tourists, many newcomers and therefore a very interesting and international mix.

Friedrichshain: Party and Lifestyle 24/7

If you want to experience something more and also a little younger culture, then you should definitely take a look at Berlin Friedrichshain. Here you will not only find the trendy scene clubs around Warschauer Straße, e.g. the Great Crested Grebe, here you will also find real Berlin streets. A little snotty, a little edgy, totally adorable! Friedrichshain is a smaller district in relation to Prenzlauer Berg and Kreuzberg; it connects the two central and multicultural parts of Berlin. Here you can find party tourists in particular, which is why you can also experience a lot in the evening. From the club with swimming pool to simply hanging around on the street, e.g. on Warsaw Street and the many exciting possibilities that arise around this place. If you go a little further, only a few minutes, you are already at the beginning of Kreuzberg!

Kreuzberg: International and still Berlin

Just a few decades ago Kreuzberg was the multicultural district in which there were many problems. As a result, many creative people settled here and artists, so Kreuzberg became the popular district it is today. Kreuzberg perfectly connects the Berlin world and the international, tourists meet here with real local but also with dressed up and of course hipsters. The district is very cosy and offers with its various small bars, restaurants and clubs for every evening alternate. Berlin Kreuzberg will definitely not be boring for you as a model, neither during the day nor in the evening. During the day you can get various snacks from all over the world in hundreds of small restaurants, from the classics of Italy and Turkey to Mongolian, Kenyan or Indian, all cultures of the world can be found here! Kreuzberg also offers numerous hotels as well as Airbnb overnight accommodations, so that you can be right in the district and feel right at home here.

City map, travel to Berlin: Top recommendations for your short trip

We have summarized all three districts once again for you here in a clear map. Of course the other districts of Berlin are always worth a visit, but here you would have the easiest entry and get to know a beautiful part of Berlin. Not only a nice part, but also a lot of entertainment that not only the original Berliner gives but also tourists and business people. This mix makes the capital a very special place and also a hotspot in Germany not only for models but also for fashion designers and celebrities.

How do I find the best and cheapest hotel in Berlin?

If you are looking for a quick way to spontaneously book a hotel in Berlin, the best way is a booking portal and Booking.com.

On hotel booking portals you will not only find reviews and recommendations of other users but you will also constantly find the current availability. Often you have to make a lot of calls to find available rooms, booking portals provide a quick and uncomplicated insight into the current situation. Especially at big events, mostly fairs, many hotels are fully booked, because international guests also arrive and some companies book out half hotels directly, e.g. if a big division comes from China. Therefore it is recommended to take a look at such booking portals.

It pays to book via Airbnb for Berlin?

If you want to save some money, booking with Airbnb is definitely worthwhile. However, if you have a demanding and stressful job, it is sometimes advisable to book a hotel, as they take care of you completely. You don’t have to worry about food or keeping your room clean. So you can fall straight into bed late in the evening, after a strenuous job in Berlin. Usually the customer or your model agency will book the hotel anyway. This is the advantage of management, we take care of all your concerns! This way you can fully concentrate on your career and get the right input from your management to develop your career.
